Tropes:

  • Adaptation Distillation: Liam's week is basically the events of ONE after his first experience in The Plane, just without most of the context or dialogue outside of mid-song interactions.
  • Adaptational Villainy: For certain bonus songs, Liam; undergoing enough Sanity Slippage to become Ax-Crazy in "Distorted Fate", and in "Desolation" is facing Hat as the new ruler of the Plane, looking mad with power while wearing the "hat" of Airy.
  • Bait-and-Switch Boss: "Desolation" starts with the same setting as "Isolated", so one might assume the opponent would be Airy. Nope, it's Liam, having gone mad enough to take Airy's place.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Hat challenges Airy to a rap battle in "Isolated"; he intends for Airy to free everyone he holds captive upon winning, but as he notes after finishing said rap battle, he forgot to specifically make that part of the deal, rendering his efforts moot.
  • Hero of Another Story: In the perspective of Hat in his week, Liam is this, going through the events of ONE while Hat just largely raps against anyone he encounters. By his week, Liam's Promoted to Playable, starting with a mirror of the song "Stranded" before leading into a simplified depiction of his perspective, including him hallucinating Stone, meeting up with Soda Bottle in their world, and confronting Airy.
  • Idiot Hero: Hat clearly takes after his owner, resorting to rap battles for most scenarios despite not directly benefiting him for the situations he's in.
  • Interface Screw: Throughout "Folder", pop-ups will appear onscreen; mostly appearing on Folder's side, though some will appear on Hat's side to make it harder to see the notes.
  • Late-Arrival Spoiler: This mod casually spoils the story of ONE, with the Spoiler Warning in the intro advising to see the Web Animation first before playing the mod. In the first song alone, we see Airy's physical appearance revealing he's just another object like the others, and we see the La Salle D'attente after Hat gets run over.
  • Promoted to Playable: Airy becomes playable for "Distorted Fate", facing off against a psychotic Liam.
  • Skewed Priorities: The premise of the bonus song "Stop Beatboxing": Liam is lying unconscious on the ground at risk of dying, while Soda Bottle decides to do nothing but beatbox for the duration of the song.
Scenty: Soda Bottle! Stop Beatboxing, Liam is dying!
  • Surprise Car Crash: After ending up in a world of sentient objects and facing off against Bradley in "Carnitas", Hat gets caught up on the bumper end of a car crash, with him ending up in La Salle D'attente for five months.
  • Tempting Fate: After "Stranded" in Hat's week, Hat hopes that the next challenge he participates in has nothing to do with the pool, as he explicitly makes it clear that he hates swimming. Guess what happens during the five minute time-card?
Hat: [...] Stupid sky voice... teleporting me into a pool upside down... at least I got out...
