Just another brick in the wall, really.
Ok, maybe a little more than that.
I contain examples of:
- Anti-Hero: I refuse to see myself as a genuine hero. No matter what.
- Deadpan Snarker: You better believe I am. Whaddya gonna do about it?
- Chaotic Neutral Counterpart: I am one to Dakari-King Mykan. However, I tend to be more of the type to write as I damn well please. Then again, I'm not stupid enough to write a Hate Fic about a show I would hate. Doesn't mean I can't pass up chances to snark at things, though.
- Eight Deadly Words: My reaction to the following:
- Most horror movie victims.
- The Graduate, in hindsight.
- Books based off of novels that reek of Twilight and, more recently, Fifty Shades Of Grey.
- Most anime. (One exception: Hokuto No Ken)
- Family Guy, American Dad, and South Park fell out of favor with me.
- Everything ever written by Dakari-King Mykan. Six of his characters being selected for the pantheon - five of which deservedly being disgraces, mind you - and his poor attitude in regards to criticism (that, and lashing out at said critics, believing his stuff to be flawless) pretty much clinched it.
- My stance on the plot of Diablo III, other than wishing Imperius would be the next angel to die next expansion. (not holding my breath on that one) The game held my attention more.
- The plot of Final Fantasy XIII had me thinking this from start to finish. I was masochistic enough to beat the two two superbosses, but please don't ask me to play the sequels.
- Also, while still on the subject of Square Enix, I stopped caring about Kingdom Hearts once I read that the plot started getting messed up after the second game with the prequels. And the fact that Xehanort turned out to be a time-traveling villain stu? Ugh... I'll pass on Kingdom Hearts III then.
- Last of all, live-action tv shows. Then again, I'm not much of a tv person anymore.
- Everyone Has Standards: I do not consider myself a good guy at all (especially when not giving a damn if I get called a hypocrite for any reason), but I absolutely hate Dakari-King Mykan for all his whining about his oh-so precious pairings being sunk. Also, I have plenty of other lines I won't cross, but I'd be here all day listing them all. Also, don't get me started on DarkSydePhil and his idiot fans. And selfies? Do any of you even know the dangers of someone showing their face to the internet? If showing your face online is a definition of bravery, then I'll call that kind of so-called bravery a warning sign of terminal stupidity.
- Genre Savvy: I love it when characters are this, regardless of which side. (instead of being just plain overpowered) If the heroes are particularly stupid, then you'd bet I'd want the actually intelligent villains to win the day.
- Good Is Dumb: Sums up what I think of a lot of heroes, goes double for anime heroes and especially superheroes. (To be fair, supervillains can also be super-stupid as well.)
- Honor Before Reason: My view of such, in a nutshell: "What hacks, who mistake honor for strength."
- Hope Springs Eternal: One Pet-Peeve Trope of mine. My opinion of it, in a nutshell, as such...
- "If you tell me that I am wrong to spurn hope, I will think nothing of your opinion. No matter how many times you try to force it down my throat, I will push you aside; for I'll be damned if I let that accursed hope taint my will."
- Shut Up, Kirk!: I will use this often, because I am no hero. (nor do I wish to be.)
- Sliding Scale of Idealism vs. Cynicism: Firmly in the cynical end, in my own way.
- The Unfettered: A good chunk of my characters, should I actually write fanfics, would be this.
- Virtue Is Weakness: Two virtues I understand, but ultimately do NOT care for: Honor and Hope. To a lesser extent, maturity, because it's not my style. That, and being an adult isn't all that it's cracked up to be.
- You Are Better Than You Think You Are: To anyone telling me this: "No. No, I'm not."
