Trivia / New Jack

Go To

  • Breakup Breakout: A much bigger name than Mustafa, though D'Lo Brown, who started as part of the Gangstas' entourage, has accomplished more.
  • Friendship on the Set: He had nothing but good things to say about Dawn Marie, Molly Holly and a few other people he shared rides or hotel rooms with.
  • He Also Did: Was "Biker 2"note  on the 2000 Early Edition episode "Mel Schwartz, Bounty Hunter."
  • Hostility on the Set: Too many for all of them to be named but notable examples are Tazz, Miss Hyatt, Jim Cornette, Paul Heyman, Jasmine St. Claire and a lot of other people. He has said the reason he didn't like Tazz was because he was pretending to be tough and that when he tried to step to him, Tazz turned and ran from him backstage during an altercation. He also apparently didn't get along with The Dudley Boyz, claiming they ripped off his attire and the intro to his theme song.
    • Notoriously hated Dusty Rhodes and Jeff Jarrett, calling them both a known racist.
  • Real Song Theme Tune:
    • Most famously used "Natural Born Killaz" by Dr. Dre and Ice Cube in ECW, both as a singles wrestler and while part of The Gangstas.
    • While part of the Gangstas in SMW, he used "Shut Em Down" and "Can't Truss It" both by Public Enemy, and "Murder Was the Case" by Snoop Dogg.
  • Referenced by...: The Weezer song "El Scorcho":
"So I went to your room and read your diary:
'watching Grunge leg-drop New-Jack through a press table...' and then my heart stopped"
  • What Could Have Been: He could have been hired by WWE, as he was liked by both Vince McMahon and the rest of the locker room, but Vince was worried New Jack would hurt someone. In fact, New Jack was intended to be revealed as the assailant for Cena in an angle in 2004, but management decided against it for Cena's safety. He was also asked to be part of The Nation of Domination, but he refused as didn't want to play second to Ron Simmons and later decided it was too corny for him when he saw one of their segments.
