Being on the set of any film, television or cartoon production could have plenty of outcomes. On average, actors are simply associates who work together and then go their separate ways once the project ends with no ill will towards their coworkers. Of course, Romance on the Set may happen between coworkers and, on the opposite end, so does Hostility on the Set.
This trope lies in the middle, where someone becomes close to their coworker either as a good friend or even a best friend. Obviously, this can change the trajectory of their lives/careers, even to the point of making several projects together or later guest-starring on the costar's latest show. Also, while a friendship may develop between coworkers, it can still end through a non-death manner.
Compare with Heterosexual Life-Partners, Platonic Life-Partners, True Companions, Undying Loyalty, Best Friends-in-Law, Like Brother and Sister, Fire-Forged Friends and Bash Brothers. Contrast with The Rival, Vitriolic Best Buds, With Friends Like These... and All of the Other Reindeer.
