• Actor Allusion:
  • Taishi Murata previously worked in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans as the voice of Norba Shino, the character known to pilot pink mobile suits. This time, he is the effeminate muscular Gunpla Diver Magee, who also pilots a pink gunpla. Strange, isn't it?
  • The fake Shahryar and his goon are voiced by Jason Marnocha and Frank Todaro, respectively. The last time those two were involved in a robot-themed production as a pair of boss-and-lackey bad guys, it was in the Transformers: Prime Wars Trilogy as Megatron and Starscream^note Sort of. In Prime Wars, the two no longer are on the same side, and Megatron is a Nominal Hero on Optimus' side against Starscream's hidden agenda, but they will play an iteration of their classic roles a year after this dub in the "War For Cybertron Trilogy" Netflix show.
• The Other Darrin: the role of Patrick Colasour was replaced from Trevor Devall to Sean Chiplock.
• Promoted Fanboy: Manami Numakura mentioned that the Gundam series was one of her inspirations to become a voice actress. Sure enough that in this series, she voices a kunoichi piloting a customized SD Unicorn Gundam.
• Role Reprise: Episode 11, 24 and 25 bring back Kenji Hamada in the role of Patrick Colasour!
• What Could Have Been: Before episode 14 aired, fans found a portion of a brochure that listed off future Gunpla through vague terms. One was "Jesta Kai (Yukky Type)", suggesting that Yukio was going to get a Jesta and not a Jegan for his Mid-Season Upgrade.
