- During the first Servant battle, Rikku tells Mash "Fight not to win. Fight to not lose." from the Gods Eater Burst/God Eater Resurrection, something El-Melloi points out later.
- The title of the 17th comic, "The Night, er- Hour Before" is a reference to the "night before the final battle" naming scheme for the events and skits for the Tales Series.
- Comic 023, the one after Sasaki Kojirou introduces himself, is titled "I am Regend!".
- After Sasaki mentions cutting swallows, Rikku asks "An African or a European swallow?".
- Comic 033, where Rikku throws a bucket of water over Jeanne Alter, is titled "Oh, Darn. She Didn't Melt.", referencing the Wicked Witch of the West's fate in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz after Dorothy did the same to her.
- Also in Comic 033, Rikku tells Jeanne Alter not to underestimate worms, stating that "Super Sheep, Bananan Bombs, and HHGs are terrifying."
- Upon finding out that Marie has sacrificed herself, Rikku sings some lyrics from God Eater Burst's "No Way Back" to soothe herself.
- In Comic 055, when wondering why Elisabeth and Kiyohime are still with the group, Rikku qoutes Nepgear by saying "What the goodness?"
- During Rikku's conversation with Caesar in Comic 072 "Proper Etiquette," she quotes Lloyd Irving, "Who are you to ask for my name?"
- The title of Comic 077, "You're making me tired. You wouldn't like me when I'm tired.", is a riff on David Banner's line from The Incredible Hulk (1977), "Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."
- The title of Comic 089, "Forget the Noobs and Let's Go!", is one of Futaba Sakura's navigation lines in Persona 5.
- The title of Comic 096, showing the fight against Altera at the end of Septem, is "Let's Get Down to Business", the first lyric from Mulan's "I'll Make a Man out of You".
- Rikku assures Da Vinci that she doesn't need to go to the infirmary after being bed bound from Nero Fest by saying "'Tis only a flesh wound. ...I've had worse." Emiya denies this and tells her that quoting Monty Python won't let her laugh her injuries off.
- Rikku's outfit during the first Halloween event matches the female protagonist from Persona 3 Portable.
- Rikku thinks that the fog machine in London resembles The Cauldron from Odin Sphere.
- In EX Comic 015, Rikku is listening to the opening song for RWBY on her headphones and asks "Are you... robbing me?" when Mash gets her attention, referencing a scene where Ruby is also listening to the opening song and doesn't realize she's being held up at first because of her headphones. Mash doesn't understand and Rikku admits that she shouldn't be surprised that she didn't get the reference.
- In response to Santa Alter's violent habits, Rikku says that she's never seen such a hyper-aggressive Santa before until remembering Bad Santa Veigar and Santa Draven and deciding that they might be worse.
- Rikku jokes that she will use her sonic screwdriver to fix Mysterious Heroine X's spaceship. The specific comic is titled "Who" to further the shout-out.
- EX Comic 026 portrays a karaoke session where Rikku sings "Exec_Cosmoflips" from Ar Tonelico Qoga Knellof Ar Ciel and Mash sings "God Knows..." from Haruhi Suzumiya.
- Rikku comments that Dantes' rants remind her of a certain "Ultimate Lucky Student''.
- In EX 071, Rikku wonders if Dr. Roman's joy over making a friend means he's never had one before and asks herself if this is how Neptune feels whenever she sees Noire. Present-day El-Melloi II clarifies that Rikku was probably just feeling pity compared to how Neptune likes to tease Noire, which present-day Rikku admits to realizing immediately afterward.
- The description for EX 086 lampshades how Rikku's ending for the mystery event includes references to two of the most well-known mystery series of all time. To wit, Adriana says "it's quite elementary", and the culprit says "And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling guests."
- An EX Comic arc adapts scenes from Monty Python and the Holy Grail with the Fate versions of the Knights of the Round Table and several other stand-ins playing out the scenarios.
- Rikku describes BB's replacement for Hawaii's currency during the third summer event as "basically Monopoly money''.
- Rikku nicknames Mysterious Heroine XX "Gundam XX"
- Rikku dressing up in a full suit when confronting Edison for the second time results in Da Vinci saying she looks like she "walked out of a movie about a secret government organization that deals with aliens living on Earth." Rikku admits she would love to have a penlight that could erase memories.
