• Crosses the Line Twice: Rikku's "The Reason You Suck" Speech directed at Jason is a tirade far too harsh even for someone like Jason, but the sheer length of her rant mixed with everyone's horrified reactions make it hard not to laugh.
• Fridge Brilliance: EX Comic 015 reveals that Rikku can't stand the sound of people chewing, which comes off as really petty... until you remember that her Magic Enhancement unconsciously increases her cognitive abilities. It's definitely not going to be a quiet time for her in that case...
• Harsher in Hindsight: The Okeanos Arc has Rikku acting more volatile towards Jason, including giving him a verbal beat-down. In the Atlantis Lostbelt, not only does Chaldea run into Jason again, he states that he remembers the events of Okeanos. Rikku and Jason's meeting in that arc will go less well than in canon.
• Les Yay: Rikku and Mash. There's many ship-tease between them throughout the comics, and while drunk, Rikku even kisses her.
• Special Effects Failure: Instances of Rikku getting flustered tend to look less like she's blushing and more like she has two streaks of red face paint on her cheeks. namtap acknowledged this and said that blushes are hard to pull off.
• Tear Jerker:
  • Rikku's Parental Issues, including her mother leaving her family and acting very rude towards her daughter.
  • When Jack is disappearing, Rikku tries her best to soothe her, and you can see tears forming in her eyes.
• Unintentionally Sympathetic: While many readers agree Jason is no saint, many see the verbal beat-down Rikku gave him as uncalled for, giving many reasons why he was better than she portrayed him as and even stating that a few Servants that she has have done terrible things as well.
