Let's Be Real is a politically themed puppet comedy show that is based on the French series Les Guignols and is broadcast on Fox and created by Robert Smigel. The series is a Sketch Comedy series starring puppet versions of prominent political figures including Presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden as well as other politicians participating in comedy sketches. The series aired an hour-long pilot in October 2020 centered around the 2020 Presidential election which was popular enough that it began to air as a regular series in summer 2021.

This program contains examples of:

  • As Himself: Several celebrities appear as themselves rather than as puppets; examples include Coolio, Larry King, and Stormy Daniels.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Donald Trump, much like his real-life counterpart especially surrounding his rhetoric on Twitter.
  • Pilot Episode: The Election Special that aired for an hour in October 2020 and was focused on the election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
  • Sketch Comedy: A sketch comedy series starring puppet version of politicians.
  • Uncomfortable Elevator Moment: One sketch from the Election Special had then-Vice President Mike Pence encounter many women wearing masks in an elevator, striking fear in Pence, who refuses to wear one.
