Imperial Security Bureau
Imperial Inquisitorius
Antinnis Tremayne
High Inquisitor Antinnis Tremayne
Species: Human
Homeworld: Coruscant
Appears in: Evasive Action | Galaxy Magazine | Adventure Journal
- Small Role, Big Impact: He's overshadowed by Jerec in terms of popularity and knowledge, but Tremayne is the one that brought Jerec into the Inquisitorius in-universe in the first place. In fact, he used to be popular before Jerec entered the scene.
Chiss Ascendancy
In General
Chaf'orm'bintrano
Aristocra Chaf'orm'bintrano, "Formbi"
Species: Chiss
Ar'alani
Admiral Ar'alani
Species: Chiss
Appears in: Outbound Flight
- Canon Immigrant: She was brought into the new EU via a cameo at the end of Thrawn.
- Ink-Suit Actor: In her depiction in the Legacy Era Campaign Guide for Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Roleplaying Game resembles Ari Roselani, who she is a Shout-Out to.
- Odd Name Out: As a senior officer of the Defense Hierarchy, her family name and the privileges that went along with it were stripped from her so that she doesn't have any loyalty to a group of Chiss over another. Whatever family she used to be a part of before is unknown.
- One-Shot Character: In Legends, she's only appeared in Outbound Flight.
- Shout-Out: To Ari Roselani, who cosplayed as Thrawn and met Timothy Zahn a couple of years before Outbound Flight was released. Apparently, the two became friends. Nowadays, she's a photographer.
Mitth'ras'safis
Syndic Mitth'ras'safis, "Thrass"
Species: Chiss
- Early-Bird Cameo: His remains first appear in Survivor's Quest. This isn't explained until a later book, Outbound Flight, where it is revealed that the remains belong to Thrawn's late brother, Thrass.
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: How evil Thrawn is is up to your interpretation, but he clearly loved his brother.
- Forgotten Fallen Friend: He has never been brought up outside of Outbound Flight or Survivor's Quest. To be fair, Thrawn has no reason to bring him up as he isn't relevant to his current situation.
- Dead All Along/Never Found the Body: Nobody ever found out what happened to the Outbound Flight, so nobody ever knew what happened to Thrass and they assumed either he died or would eventually come back. It isn't until a little less than half a century later that the Chiss discover his remains aboard the returned Outbound Flight.
- Heroic Sacrifice: He and Lorana pilot the Outbound Flight into the remote and highly radioactive Redoubt to keep its technology from falling into Formbi's hands.
- One-Shot Character: He's only appeared in Outbound Flight. Technically, he appeared in Survivor's Quest... as a body that's been dead for decades.
- Together in Death: Thrawn never got to learn that his brother had died, but as Thrawn gets assassinated years later, he's at least with his brother again.
