The League of Dragons is a deviantART-based roleplay group centered around a world of dragons. Notably, one of the main focuses of the group is helping writers improve their Original Characters. Found here.

  • Action Girl: Gaikotsu, Neffertity, Zonia, Sorona, Kat
  • Aerith and Bob: See above for an example.
  • All There in the Manual: The mentors' backstories.
  • Anti-Hero: Shanido, who lives a secret life leading the "Night Assassins", and is willing to go quite far to protect his secret.
  • Advertisement:
  • Berserk Button: For Zonia, it's making fun of her lack of friends. For Sivu, it's going into a battle without a strategy.
  • Big Bad: Draigon
  • Bigger Bad: Sorceress.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Shanido, especially when he threatens to kill Gaik for accidentally finding out that he was an assassin.
  • Break the Cutie: Gaikotsu. After discovering the Night Assassins, she was threatened with death by her mentor. It's also implied she went through this before coming to the League, based on what she described of her past during her first meeting with Nate.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Sivu has a habit of doing this.
  • Butt-Monkey: Zonia, being bad at alchemy yet constantly getting sent on missions that involve alchemy.
  • The Chosen One: Neffertity, as the white dragon, is the only living dragon capable of mastering all 10 elements.

  • Mary Sue Tropes: Actively defied. There are certain requirements for being accepted into the RP—one of which is not being a Mary Sue. The users also offer advice on improving one's character.

  • Official Couple: Karakamooni and Amaya, Neffertity and Nero, Naku and Zonia, Kat and Koda, Nate and Roxelle, Shanido and Nokata.
  • Our Dragons Are Different
  • Power Glows: The sunstone crystals.
  • Sadistic Choice: One of Neffy's questions to Sorona is what she would do in an impossible situation.
  • Sink-or-Swim Mentor: Karakamooni. The first mission he assigned Terron was to hunt for him in a swamp filled with hundreds of deadly obstacles, including a fog that tears a dragon's soul right out of their body. Few dragons have survived his training.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Kat, Draigon, Cratos, and Di'ou. Terron also gained this ability after his accident.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Kida calls out Nikos for making a pass at her while she was drunk at the blue moon festival, and for doing so despite knowing she has a boyfriend.
  • Wise Beyond Their Years: A few dragons, especially the mentors
