Recap / The Real Ghostbusters Slimer 16 Out With Grout

Go To

Slimer and Fred are hanging out at the Sedgewick, and try to sneak past Grout, but he sneezes because he's allergic to dogs, looks down, and sees them. Slimer and Fred try to make a run for it, but Fred catches Slimer and takes him back to his room.

Bud beckons Slimer into the laundry room and offers him some candy he found in people's pockets while doing the laundry, but asks where Fred is. Slimer is in the middle of explaining, when Grout enters, assumes Bud planned to eat the candy, and takes it (since he's not allowed to snack during working hours).

He makes Bud clean up outside, then Slimer meets him and complains about how mean Grout is. Then, the two of them see an ad in a newspaper for a new hotel needing a manager, and they think Grout should work there, meaning he can't bother them anymore. Slimer puts up flyers everywhere and when Grout reads one, he acknowledges that it would be a good job for him. Later, he does in fact decide to swap jobs.

To celebrate not being bossed around any longer, Slimer and Bud skateboard, while Fred eats chicken, but then Dweeb and Elizabeth show up. Slimer and Fred hide, while Bud talks to Dweeb, who reveals that he wants to take over as manager. He then places security cameras up around the place.

Later, Slimer is stealing some food on the table, but when he tries to steal a cake, it turns out the bottom layer was booby trapped. Dweeb, Elizabeth, and Fred (in a cage) wheel the trapped Slimer along on a cart, when Bud runs into them. He asks why Fred is in a cage, and Dweeb says it's a "scientific matter". Then, Bud crashes into the wall, and Dweeb slips, sending him and Elizabeth going out of control on their cart, and the trap falling down and opening, freeing Slimer.

Outside, Bud, Slimer, and Fred agree that Dweeb is worse than Grout. Slimer decides to get Grout back, and they head off. Meanwhile, Dweeb tracks Slimer with an invention called a "slime sniffer". Slimer disguises himself as a baby, Bud as a woman, and Fred as a different dog, then they go to the other hotel. Bud asks for a room but asks if there are ghosts, and Slimer pretends to cry, but Grout insists there are no ghosts at the hotel.

The disguised trio head up some stairs, when Dweeb and Elizabeth burst in. Dweeb says that he's tracking a ghost, but Grout again insists there aren't any. This offends Dweeb, who keeps trying to track Slimer, who scares the hotel guests on Bud's command. The guests complain to Grout, who is then crashed into by Dweeb. He starts chasing after Slimer again, but Slimer leads Dweeb and Elizabeth into an elevator that he makes go up and down repeatedly. Grout eventually gets frustrated and moves back to the Sedgewick.
