This review contains examples of:

  • Ass Shove: Apparently the Critic did this to Douchy with a grenade... twice!
  • Call-Back: The Elephant in the Living Room makes another appearance, prompting The Critic to address the autism joke he made in the Ernest Saves Christmas review. The elephant first appeared in the Neverending Story 2 review.
  • Invisible Subtle Difference: The Critic's defense of his "mistake" of #7.
Critic: According to a lot of people, and even many of them from Disney, the monster on Bald Mountain is a creature named... Ch-ch-Chernabog-Chernabug-ch... tomato-toh-ma-toh. So everyone kept pointing out to me that this was in fact not the Devil. But let's really look at this for a second. You got a horned creature with minions dancing around him, bathing in fire, celebrating all that is evil, and the only thing that can stop him is the sound of church bells and Avè Maria. IT'S THE DEVIL! Who are you kidding?! You can call him Mr. Fluffy for all I care and it would still be the Devil. Oh, yeah, and this little bit of information might mean something. [Deems Taylor explains the premise of Night on Bald Mountain, clearly name-dropping Satan] Devil! That's the fucking Devil! What more do you need?! Oh, well, if you want to call him... Churned Butter or whatever his name is, that's fine. But for me, and I think everybody who saw this for the very first time, it's the Devil. DEVIL!
  • Old Shame (In-Universe): The infamous Autism joke he made in "Ernest Saves Christmas". He admits the joke was terrible from the start, and the reactions he got from the fans were enough for him to remove it in the next edit.
  • Spanner in the Works: Douchey refuses to give his location to the Critic, claiming it is seal-proof. Then his mom asks him about a "Midgets Gone Wild" video delivered to their home, unwittingly reciting their address for the Critic to hear.
  • Subverted Catchphrase: "Hello, I'm the Nostalgia Critic. I remember it—" [interrupted feed]
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: The Critic apologizes for the lack of an "Old vs. New" episode for War of the Worlds (2005), saying neither movie aged well for him, since both movies mostly consist of just people running away from aliens, and neither movie could lend themselves to a review.
Critic: Sorry, guys, but this is one "Old vs. New" you're never gonna see from me.
  • Writers Cannot Do Math: The basis of Fuck-up #2.

"Are you masturbating again?"
