Jeramie: Countless stars that shine in the sky. In ancient times, people would connect them to form constellations. And those constellations... Gave rise to stories. People sought meaning from little more than dots in the heavens. But, why? Perhaps, feeling themselves to be little more than insignificant dots... They yearned for their existence to have meaning, as well. And if that's true... Do you suppose that your own life has any meaning? Let us begin the final tale of the Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger...

Now that the Wrath of the Gods has been averted, the kings look to finally take down Dagded Dujardin with all their might, but he proves to be an incredibly fearsome opponent. As a result, the Ohsama Sentai enact Evacuation Plan Zero, but what exactly does this plan entail?

Tropes

  • An Aesop: Be good to your people, and your people will be good to you too.
  • Aspect Ratio Switch: The beginning of the episode is shot in 1.85:1 ratio compared to the series' usual 16:9 to underscore the grim tone.
  • Back from the Dead: Dethnaarok returns from the land of the dead to provide aid against Kamejim.
  • Book Ends: The episode begins and ends with an injured Gira trudging towards Dagded in defiance.
  • Call-Back: The events of Adventure Heaven are referenced: part of The Plan to replace Jeramie's Proof involves meeting with the King of Hākabāka Reiniol for answers; the monarchs unaware that Dagded killed him in The Stinger of that movie. A representative from Hākabāka does however arrive eventually: Dethnaarok.
  • Colony Drop: Dagded summons several meteors as a counterattack to the monarchs using Hyouga Issen, leveling Shugoddam and gravely injuring all of them.
  • Crazy-Prepared: As the situation gets increasingly dire, the Ohsama Sentai enact Operation Zero, a full-scale evacuation plan of Tikyū's people that leaves them behind to hold off Dagded while the citizens are to board King Caucasus Kabuto to find a new home so they can build the weapon needed to defeat Dagded.
  • Curb Stomp Cushion: Though the heroes are completely trounced by Dagded, they are able to land a strong blow with Hyouga Issen that does leave the Galactinsect King wincing in pain.
  • Darkest Hour: The episode starts in it: The Kings are seen defeated and unconscious, Shugoddam is an apocalyptic wreck and Dagded is no worse for wear.
  • A Day in the Limelight: A good chunk of the episode is centered around the monarchs' retainers and the citizens of Tikyu in general as they learn what Evacuation Plan Zero really is.
  • Fling a Light into the Future: This is what Evacuation Plan Zero amounts to. While the Ohsama Sentai does their best to hold off Dugded, they relinquish their King's Proofs to their retainers while everyone else escapes on King Caucasus Kabuto.
  • Foregone Conclusion: The opening showing the Ohsama Sentai laying down in the ruins of Shugoddam gives away the fact that their fight with Dagded won't end well for them.
  • Foreshadowing: One of the adjustments to Yanma's plan is that the monarchs would visit Hakabaka in a bid to get something as a substitute for Jeramie's life crystal. While the plan falls through, aid does arrive from Hakabaka at the last second: Dethnaarok himself.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: If you look closely during the monarchs' meeting, you can see that Yanma, Hymeno, Rita, and Kaguragi aren't wearing their King's Proofs, foreshadowing their future plans with them.
  • Godzilla Threshold:
    • The Kings activate Hyouga Issen against Dagded despite the huge risk to their health.
    • The dire situation forces the monarchs to enact Evacuation Plan Zero - in which they hold off Dagded and sacrifice themselves to give their people a chance at a better future.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: What Evacuation Plan Zero actually entails: While the retainers use Caucasus Kabuto Castle to ferry Tikyu's people to a new planet, the Kings will hold off Dagded and fight to their dying breath. The people don't plan on humoring the dying part.
  • How We Got Here: The episode opens with Gira confronting Dagded in the ruins of Shuggoddam, with the rest of the team all unconscious.
  • The Infiltration: Kamejim ambushed Goroge off-screen and impersonated him, hoping to sneak into the evacuation and steal the King's Proofs. He wasn't very thorough - The real Goroge quickly arrives on-scene and exposes him.
  • Is This a Joke?: Rita’s reaction when Yanma displays a hypothetical new formation for King-Ohger which is just an enlarged image of God King-Ohger.
  • It's Personal: Racules and Dethnaarok both have a bone to pick with Kamejim for his role as a spy for the Galactinsects.
  • Last Stand: The evacuees decide on a collective one, knowing that if they immigrate again they'll just be re-enslaved by Dagded once more.
  • Negatives as a Positive:
    • The evacuees decide on a collective mutiny against their rulers...since they want to save their kings instead of indulging a Heroic Sacrifice.
    • Kogane and Boone realize that the second Goroge that arrives is the loudest one, meaning he's the real one.
  • No One Gets Left Behind: After learning that their rulers planned to sacrifice themselves to give them a chance to survive, the people of Tikyū decide they'll have none of it and decide to help their rulers.
  • Not So Stoic: During Racules' explanation of Evacuation Plan Zero, it's clear he's trying to hold back his emotions over the Kings' planned sacrifice.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Unlike most times, Jeramie’s usual opening narration is solemn, reflecting that this is the final battle.
  • Passing the Torch: Defied. The Kings enclose their Proofs to their retainers and enact an evacuation plan; leaving behind a farewell message that implores their people to create the replacement Proof themselves and defeat Dagded someday. The people are not having it, knowing that the Galactinsect King will simply enslave them again if they leave. They decide on a Last Stand instead.
  • The Plan: Two, specifically.
    • Yanma suggests the monarchs craft a replacement for Jeramie's missing proof in the hopes of turning King-Ohger into a cosmic weapon that can fight Dagded. The Galactinsect King butts in on their meeting before they can...
    • ...except they'd already entrusted their Proofs to their retainers by this point; quickly executing Evacuation Plan Zero to get their people off-world while they hold Dagded off.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: In response to the Zero plan, all of the citizens decide to defy their monarchs' declaration to go back and help, choosing to potentially die rather than let Dagded's cycle continue.
  • Secret-Keeper: Racules is outed as one for the monarchs; knowing full-well that their fight against Dagded would result in a Heroic Sacrifice.
  • Special Edition Title: Unlike most episodes, this episode has no Opening Narration when the theme song plays, signifying this is truly the endgame.
  • Strong as They Need to Be: The OhgerCalibur ZERO was enough to defeat Dagded the first time, yet six Immortal Breaker swords complete with a harmonized Hyouga Issen only make him briefly flinch. Justified because the last time it was used, Dagded fell victim to a surprise attack from Racules and as a result he was not at full power afterwards. Here, Dagded is facing the heroes while completely healthy and on guard.
  • Stunned Silence: The monarchs' farewell message leaves the evacuation crowd in twenty seconds of collective shock.
  • Suicide Mission: With the upgrade to King-Ohger ditched due to extenuating circumstances, the Ohsama Sentai decide to enact Evacuation Plan Zero, expecting that none of them are going to make it.
  • Undying Loyalty: All the citizens refuse to leave Tikyū behind as the kings walk to their certain doom.
  • Unfinished Business: Deathnarok returns to deal with Kamejim for his betrayal.
  • Video Wills: Once the Retainers find out what’s in their bags, Gerojim accidentally activates a video message from the kings on the Venomix Shooter that explains the truth behind Evacuation Plan Zero.
  • Wham Shot:
    • The Retainers discovering the King's Proofs and OhgerCrown in their bags.
    • A second Goroge appearing, revealing that Kamejim snuck into the group to steal the King's Proofs.
    • Dethnaarok coming Back from the Dead to settle his unfinished business with Kamejim.
