Couch Gag - Dick Dastardly and Muttley.

LAFF Games

  • Adaptational Backstory Change: In Laff-A-Lympics, the Really Rottens always lost to either the Yogi Yahooeys or the Scooby Doobies. In this series, it's the Yogi Yahooeys who consistently lose and the Really Rottens who are the undefeated champions.
  • Adaptational Badass: In Laff-A-Lympics, the Really Rottens consistently lost to either the Yogi Yahooeys or the Scooby Doobies as a result of their cheating. While they still cheat in this series, they manage to score victories over the Yogi Yahooeys.
  • And the Rest: New Bedrock's team is introduced as Orful Octopus, Daisy Mayhem, Magic Rabbit, "and a bunch of other people."
  • Animate Inanimate Object: Yakky imagines several objects talking to her, guilting her for trying to cheat,
  • Big Entrance: Dick Dastardly makes his grand entrance to the series by leaping out of his bus into a Three-Point Landing.
  • Burping Contest: One of the events at the LAFF Games is a burping contest. Dinky Dalton beats Captain Caveman by a landslide.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: New Bedrock's team is proud of being evil and cheating, especially Dick Dastardly.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Huck has a traumatic past with chickens (ex: father was mauled by chickens), which is why wearing a chicken suit is so embarrassing for him.
  • Malicious Misnaming: Dick Dastardly keeps calling Huck "gooseberry" and "boysenberry."
  • Mythology Gag:
    • Snagglepuss and Mildew Wolf are the announcers of the LAFF Games, like they were the announcers of the Laff-a-Lympics.
    • Yogi wants to call Jellystone's team the Yogi Yahooeys, which was the name of his team in the Laff-a-Lympics.
  • Pseudolympics: The LAFF Games consist of a baguette relay, a sausage and onion burp, and a lemonade surf. (Competitive reading is also seen.)
  • Rhymes on a Dime: Dr. Pippy's Xtra Slippy Soap is banned in Mississippi for being too slippy.
Huck (to Yakky): But don't get snippy with me, skippy.
  • The Rival: New Bedrock are the rivals to Jellystone, defeating them at every LAFF Game. It later turns out that New Bedrock cheated.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: When Huck's friends support him by wearing chicken costumes like he is, Dick Dastardly gets annoyed, and he and his team decide to go back to New Bedrock.
  • Start X to Stop X: Huckleberry decides to have Jellystone's team cheat in order to stop New Bedrock's team from cheating.
  • Team Rocket Wins: New Bedrock's team wins the LAFF Games once again despite cheating.
  • Toilet Humor: During the final event, the lemonade surf, which takes place in a pool that appears to be filled with lemonade, Mildew asks "Has anyone checked if it's actually lemonade?" Later, when Huck rises from the yellow liquid, he shouts "It's not lemonade!"
  • Whole-Plot Reference: To Laff-A-Lympics.

Frankenhooky.

  • All Just a Dream: By the time the Clue Club unmasks to reveal "Frankensteins" and chase Yogi and Boo Boo, it's revealed that Yogi and Boo Boo were passed out from the rancid amusement park food and dreaming the whole ordeal, muttering "Frankensteins" in their sleep.
  • Amateur Sleuth: The characters from Goober and the Ghost Chasers come to the amusement park to try and hunt ghosts.
  • Amusement Park of Doom: Yogi and Boo Boo play hooky from work and go to an amusement park where all of the rides explode, and the food is rotten.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Tubb's arm falls off. Yogi doesn't bother fixing it.
  • The Cameo: The Scooby Gang unexpectedly shows up at the end of the episode, exposing the Ghost Chasers as frauds. The Scooby Gang turns out to also be impostors.
  • "Scooby-Doo" Hoax: Yogi and Boo Boo dress up as "Frankensteins" in order to scare Ted, Tina, Gilly, and Goober (who they assume to be "hospital goons") away. Later, it's revealed that the Ghost Chasers were actually Orful Octopus, Magic Rabbit, and Sooey Pig in disguise...and then the Scooby Gang are revealed to actually be Cindy, Ranger Smith, Hardy, Tubb, Tubb's arm, and a jar with a cotton ball in it. Finally, the Clue Club shows up at the end of the episode and are exposed as "Frankensteins." It's then revealed to be All Just a Dream Yogi and Boo Boo are having, passed out from the rancid food they've been snacking on.
  • Scooby-Dooby Doors: Parodied. The disguised Yogi and Boo Boo run into a "History of Doors" museum within the amusement park, and find themselves running in one door and out another in a hallway. But they stop among realizing the Ghost Chasers aren't chasing them through said doors.
  • Self-Deprecation: Ted wants to prove that the Ghost Chasers are better than Scooby-Doo, claiming that all they do is pull masks off of people. This is also a reference to how Goober and the Ghost Chasers is a Scooby-Doo clone.
  • Wraparound Background: Lampshaded. When Yogi and Boo Boo are running, Yogi asks "Didn't we already pass that purple door?" It turns out they are actually running on a conveyor belt with a literal scrolling wraparound background.
