Mac makes a home movie about Foster's for his school project, but Bloo edits it into a humorous film with flatulent sound effects, which leads him to be entered in the state student film festival. With Bloo's help, they make "T-Rexatron Alienwolf III, A Prequel In Time: The Unrelenting."

The episode provides tropes of:

• 2D Visuals, 3D Effects: Spoofed with the CGI Eduardo in Bloo's movie.
• Amateur Film-Making Plot: The school principal is impressed with Mac's film about Foster's (which Bloo added armpit fart sound effects into) and enters Mac to represent his school in the Annual State-wide Elementary School film festival. He gives Mac a $500 budget and the idea for the film, which Bloo helps make into a movie called "T-Rex-A-Tron Alien Wolf III: A Prequel In Time: The Unrelenting". Despite all the extra effort and money Bloo puts into the film^note which includes having Tom Hanks play a robot and a CGi Eduardo when the real one refused to be involved with the project, which Mac had to pay for by selling his Space Wars action figure collection and Madame Foster's antiques (which she unknowingly bought back anyway), the ending to Bloo's movie gets taped over by an episode of Lauren is Explorin' that Eduardo was trying to watch but taped over the master, causing Bloo's film to lose.
• Bad "Bad Acting": Mac's raw home movie is full of this.
• Bait-and-Switch: When Mac is waiting at the principal's office, both him and the audience thinks Bloo's cut of his home movie got him in trouble... but surprisingly, the school principal actually liked Bloo's cut and thinking it was Mac choosed him to be the represnter for the school at the Annual Statewide Elementary School Film Festival.
• Budget-Busting Element: In-Universe. In "One False Movie", Mac is tasked with creating a movie to be shown at a film festival, with Bloo directing. Bloo immediately blows their budget a megaphone (said to have once belonged to Cecil B. DeMille) to boss everyone around with, leaving Mac to sell some of his stuff online to scrounge up more money.
• Colon Cancer: Parodied, with Bloo's movie being called "Trexatron Alienwolf III: A Prequel In Time: The Unrelenting".
• In a World…: Parodied; this is how Bloo starts the movie he made for Mac's school's film festival
  Bloo: (Voiceover) In a world where chaos reigns like cats and dogs in a hailstorm...
• Jerkass Has a Point: Bloo had a point to call Mac out for having a lack of faith in Bloo's cut of the home movie, especially since Mac jumped quick to conclusions that the new cut got him in trouble without the full details
• Megaphone Gag: When Mac and Bloo attempt to film an entry to a film festival, Bloo turns into a Prima Donna Director who alienates the entire crew by constantly barking orders at them through a megaphone, which he shoves in their faces. Even worse, Bloo spent the entire budget for the movie on purchasing the megaphone.
• Mistaken for Flatulence: Mac films a video about the imaginary friends who live at Foster's, which Bloo adds armpit fart sound effects to, specifically during the scene where Mac interviews Eduardo. This causes Eduardo to think he has a "Pooting problem", despite Mac trying to tell Eduardo otherwise. This is why Eduardo refuses to take part in the movie Bloo films for the film festival Mac's principal enters Mac in, and Bloo has to replace him with CGi effects. Eduardo also sends a letter to the writers of Lauren is Explorin' for a solution to this problem, prompting them to write A Very Special Episode dealing with it.
• No Ending: Mac laments to an upset Bloo about them losing the film festival that even if all but the beginning of the movie hadn't been taped over by Eduardo, the movie still had no ending. Bloo counters that as long as everything else was awesome, they didn't need an end- Smash Cut "The End" Card.
• Not So Above It All: Mr. Herriman joins the others laughing as they watch Bloo's "improvements" of Mac's home movie—the "improvements" being Bloo adding farting sound effects every ten seconds, something you wouldn't expect someone like Herriman to find humor in.
• Orbital Shot: Attempted by Bloo during the filming of T-Rexatron Alien Wolf III, specifically during the scene where Coco hands Wilt a tuna fish sandwich. The camera itself was an imaginary friend who said he always hated that effect.
• Prima Donna Director: Bloo turns into one of these when he is partnered with Mac to produce a film for the film festival. He constantly orders Mac around and spends their entire assigned budget on a megaphone.
• Real Trailer, Fake Movie: To Bloo's movie.
• "The Reason You Suck" Speech: When waiting outside the principal's office, Mac gives Bloo a mini speech:
  Mac: Bloo, you've done some terrible things, but this is the worst. Do me a favor. Next time I ask for help, just butt out. All you do is get me in trouble...
• "Shaggy Dog" Story: Despite all the hard work everyone went through for the insanely expensive movie - mostly Mac as he had to get the funds for the movie after Bloo made it go overbudget - they end up losing thanks to Eduardo taping over the master copy.
• The Stinger: The end credits scene has the gang watch Explorin' with Eduardo, when Ed suddenly farts and says, "Excuse me", making everyone else grossed out.
