See here for moments regarding the books.

  • Wolf's Unstoppable Rage after Marmalade shows his true colors. One can literally see the bloodlust in his eyes — if he hadn't been restrained, he would've torn Marmalade apart. It's the one part in the film where you understand why the Bad Guys are feared by everyone in-universe.
Wolf is the friend everyone sees in a good mood. When he really gets pissed off, to the point of feral rage, it surprises everyone, even those closest to them.
  • Marmalade showing his true colors counts as well. With completely frazzled hair, a feral look in his eyes, and the sound of bloodlust and insanity in his voice, Marmalade's reveal might be a Captain Obvious Reveal, but it's surprisingly scary. Shark mentions how "he's creeping [him] out". There's also the fact he can switch from insane and nihilistic to terrified and normal with the flip of a switch. He's just that good at playing with emotions.
    • While it's over the top, Marmalade's Mood-Swinger tendencies really exacerbate his fondness for Nightmare Faces after The Reveal, in particular the gem he makes when sentencing Wolf and Diane to their deaths!
    Marmalade: [cheerfully] Cuddles! Finish them.
  • When the death trap is revealed, the mostly calm and playful Wolf and Diane start screaming bloody murder. They thought they were going to die a brutal and bloody death. And when it seems the rest of the gang are too distracted to save them, Diane has a panic attack and starts screaming about the spinning blades.
  • There's a short moment in the climax that's mostly Played for Laughs where an armored truck runs over one of the mind-controlled guinea pigs. You can literally see the partially-flattened body in the road right before it pops back to life and attacks the driver like something out of a zombie movie.
  • Marmalade's attack on Wolf's car. It involves a huge swarm of mind-controlled guinea pigs ramming the car around like a fly through a tunnel and onto a street, only surviving thanks to Wolf's Badass Driver skills. Even Snake had to tell him to take things down a notch.
  • Marmalade, at the height of his Villainous Breakdown, "negotiates" with the Bad Guys for the meteorite, by throwing Snake out the helicopter, leaving him dangling for dear life. When he gleefully threatens to stomp him off, Wolf tries to outgambit him by using Diane's blow torch on the Meteorite if he doesn't let Snake down. Marmalade, knowing Wolf will throw first, just gives a seething Death Glare and kicks Snake off to his death anyway. To really punctuate it, it is probably the one time both the animation and Richard Ayoade's voice acting isn't playing up Marmalade's delivery cartoonishly, and he acts genuinely cold-blooded and chilling.
Wolf: Do it! Or you'll lose the space rock!
Marmalade: [glares ominously] As you wish (...) You want him?.... He's yours!
  • The fact that if not for the twist with Snake, along with a huge amount of convinient luck placing things together in the end, Marmalade still would have won. He still had the whole world on his side and convinced of his good will and so was easily capable of just convincing to them him keep the meteorite anyway. Even worse, he also had hard evidence Diane was the Crimson Paw.
