CircusP is an American music producer who primarily uses Vocaloid and other vocal synth software. His name comes from one of his most well known songs, "Circus Monster", which was released in 2010.

He uses a wide variety of vocal synths in his music, and has also made demo songs for upcoming voicebanks (such as "Golden Afternoon" for Chis-A English and "Dawn" for SynthV Solaria). In 2015, he won the HATSUNE MIKU EXPO SONG CONTEST with his song "Ten-Thousand Stars". Two of his songs ("Copycat" and "Goodbye") appeared in Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! in 2022. Originally exclusive to the English version, they were added to the Japanese and Taiwanese versions of the game in 2023.

CircusP's music provides examples of:

  • Art Shift: Various different artists collaborated on the music video for “Metronome”, switching between Miki drawn in the artists’ different styles at the end of the video as part of it being a send off for CMYK which featured the work of different artists for each music video.
  • Break-Up Song: "Detrimental" is about wanting to move past feelings for an ex.
  • Colour Motif: Each EP in CMYK is named after a colour which represents the songs included: Yellow focuses on bright, happy sounding songs, Magenta focuses on energetic pop songs, Cyan focuses on more emotional and solemn songs, and Key (themed around dark purple and black) has more intense tracks.
  • Dramatic Thunder: The extended version of "SLASH/ER" features thunderous noises in the background as the singer proclaims that she'll become the titular slasher, leading to the final chorus.
  • Driven to Suicide: In “Goodbye”, the singer expresses the desire to end her own life, even though she's scared to go through with it.
  • Expository Hairstyle Change: In the music video for "Better Off Worse", flower's hairstyle switches between a ponytail to represent her cheerful self and short hair to represent her miserable self.
  • Killing Your Alternate Self:
    • "Better Off Worse" has a shot where flower strangles her happier self, representing how she's going to stay miserable and keep making dark content so that she can keep her audience interested.
    • The main visual for "SLASH/ER" has MAYU screaming in the foreground as an alternate version of herself stands behind her with a knife covered in blood, showing how she takes on both the role of the victim and the villain due to being self-aware that she's in a slasher.
  • Mythology Gag: All of flower's outfits in "Better Off Worse" are from Circus' past songs.
  • Pep-Talk Song: "Puzzle" has Miku encourage the listener to trust in the creative process, not be afraid to express their feelings, and to never give up, with her promising that she'll keep cheering them on.
  • Please, Don't Leave Me:
    • “Dolphin” is about the singer wishing they could stay with someone they care about.
    • The repeated lyrics of “don’t wanna let you go” show up in “Metronome”, going with the song’s message that even though it’s difficult for something to end, part of the experience will always stay with you. This message also pairs into it sending off Circus’ CMYK album.
  • Precision F-Strike: One of few uses of profanity in Circus' songs comes in "Marco Polo" when KAITO says he wants to give up on "self-improvement bullshit".
  • Queer Romance: "Lie" and "I(Love)" are both love songs from a woman to another woman.
  • Screaming Woman: MAYU's pose in "SLASH/ER", where she's holding her head with both her hands and screaming as the killer is right behind her.
  • Shapeshifter Identity Crisis: "Copycat" is about a girl who constantly erases her personality and remakes it in the image of whatever the people around her are like in order to please them until she eventually starts to forget who she was in the first place.
  • True Art Is Angsty: In "Better Off Worse", flower forces herself to stay within her own pain because her fans only like her edgy content.
  • You Bastard!: "Better Off Worse" is an angsty song with dark lyrics about how the singer is miserable because people only listen to their angsty songs with dark lyrics.
