In General
- The comments made by Abusive Romance's readers are always good for a laugh, especially when they start enthusiastically embracing the book's sudden turn into danmei and fangirling Yin Hanjiang's Crazy Jealous Guy behavior.[I've changed from an innocent little girl into a crazy woman, when I see a psychotic freak I'm not just not scared, I want to say, eeeeeeek, be more psycho!][I can’t say what I want from the Demon Lord and his vicious little wolf, if I say any more I’ll get reported.]
- Qiu Congxue treating murder as the best solution to every problem, like suggesting that Wenren È kill the entire Shangqing Sect and save only Baili Qingmiao to get her to accept him as her master or that Baili Qingmiao 'save' Hè Wenzhao by using a special technique to put a mark on his soul and then killing him and using the mark to find his reincarnation and wait for him to grow up.
- The other Xuanyuan Sect members repeatedly insulting Qiu Congxue's intelligence right to her face and her always either not catching on or not being able to refute it at all.Qiu Congxue: Why don’t I call a few spirits in, scoop out [Baili Qingmiao's] brains, and stuff a vengeful ghost who hates men in there?
Wenren È: Altar Master Qiu, now that you’ve grown a brain again, you should see Protector Shu sometime and learn how to use it. Don’t let it go to waste.

Specific Moments
- Shu Yanyan has come up with an elaborate plan to seduce Hè Wenzhao that involves Wenren È bullying her by stuffing a silver piece down the front of her robes, but Wenren È passes on this job to Yin Hanjiang who has no desire to touch Shu Yanyan's bosom and comes up with an alternative plan on the spur of the moment: throw Shu Yanyan out of the nearest second-story window right in front of Hè Wenzhao and Baili Qingmiao.
- Qiu Congxue, after regaining her flesh, doesn't get why Baili Qingmiao becomes flustered upon seeing her naked body and begs her to put some clothes on or why Baili Qingmiao facepalms every time she hikes up her robe high while climbing down the mountain.
- Yin Hanjiang sets out to practice woodcarving; he wields his sword with intense solemnity, performs a flashy sequence of slashes on the wood with intense seriousness... and the wood is utterly demolished into sawdust. Wenren È, who had been holding a carving knife in his hand this whole time that Yin Hanjiang could have just asked for, bursts into uncharacteristic laughter upon seeing this. And then Baili Qingmiao arrives on the scene and freaks out upon seeing all of Yin Hanjiang's only slightly less disastrous follow-up woodcarving attempts because she thinks they're evil charms.
- To find the spiritual realm that contains the Shattered Mountain Meteorite, Wenren È knocks out Baili Qingmiao without any prior warning to test if the realm will open in response to her being unconscious. When he confirms that it does, he cuts off Qiu Congxue's arm without any prior warning (which Qiu Congxue can only respond to with Stunned Silence) and feeds its essence to Baili Qingmiao to revive her. Baili Qingmiao assumes that Qiu Congxue willingly sacrificed her arm to revive her and effusively thanks her and Wenren È for saving her, which Wenren È almost immediately follows up by knocking her unconscious again and slinging her over his shoulder like a knapsack so that he and Yin Hanjiang can enter the realm together. When he needs Baili Qingmiao to be knocked unconscious for a third time later on, he asks her to do it herself which she unquestionably obeys.
- The literary conference at Five Willow Manor bores Wenren È and Yin Hanjiang so much that they fall asleep, which some of the participants get offended by. Yin Hanjiang tries to smooth things over by claiming that he and Wenren È had been suffering from insomnia and were very grateful to attend a meeting that caused them to fall asleep so quickly, which only angers the participants even more.
- The overview of how Zhongli Qian had to spend thirty years basically playing babysitter to Qiu Congxue, Su Huai, and Baili Qingmiao and ended up literally turning his hair white just to prevent Qiu Congxue and Su Huai from killing each other or bringing down the wrath of angry righteous cultivators upon their heads.
- Su Huai, in response to learning that Shangqing Sect has betrayed him and Baili Qingmiao by chaining them above the Blood Hell as a trap for Qiu Congxue and Wenren È, swears up a profanity-laden storm at the Shangqing Sect. When Baili Qingmiao points out that Zhongli Qian wouldn't like hearing him swear like this, he switches to more formal language that still insults the Shangqing Sect in every non-swearing way he can think of.His language was still as varied as before, words like "cowards", "scoundrels", and "petty crooks" coming out of his mouth. Baili Qingmiao didn't get how he couldn't memorize poetry, but could memorize so many ways of cursing people.
- Yin Hanjiang repeatedly suppresses his urge to kill Baili Qingmiao by calmly tearing off pieces of her kimono and using them to clean his weapon. The comedy of this is enhanced by Baili Qingmiao being understandably confused about being used like a rag like this but ultimately not bringing it up at all.
- Shi Congxin sees Wenren È kiss an unconscious Yin Hanjiang but mistakenly interprets it as Wenren È trying to steal Yin Hanjiang's spiritual essence through his mouth and tattles to Yin Hanjiang about Wenren È's "betrayal" of him. Yin Hanjiang, who quickly figures out from Shi Congxin's description just what his Venerable really did to him, coughs so violently from the shock that Shi Congxin worries for a moment that he accidentally caught his sickness qi.
- Shu Yanyan, who has to keep Yin Hanjiang from interrupting Baili Qingmiao's meditation without getting him upset, successfully convinces him that three days is an entirely normal period of time for women to spend on changing their clothes and that she could teach him some... special techniques to use with Wenren È in the meantime. When she learns later on that Yin Hanjiang spent a full month in seclusion with Wenren È, she fumes that teaching him her techniques was a waste if he only spent that short a time using them with Wenren È.
