List of tropes common in his games:
- Acrofatic: With their figures, women like Maggie and Ruth show exceptional upper body strength. Angela and Sam are also quite fast.
- Author Appeal: Zed's games tend to contain most or all of the following:
- Fat buxom women who still manage to be pretty athletic despite their large size.
- Animal/mythological creature people casually existing alongside normal human beings.
- Scary or outright demonic looking characters that are actually quite friendly and nice people once you get to know them.
- Small business owners and freelance workers as protagonists who often work against much larger businesses or richer and more corrupt individuals that serve as antagonists.
- Big Beautiful Woman: A majority of the female character in his games are incredibly large in figure and are usually portrayed as being pretty.
- Boob-Based Gag: Far more often than not his grown female characters will have comically huge breasts.
- Camera Perspective Switch: Every game but The Bit More Know Zero employs this for horror purposes. All the games use First-Person Perspective from the protagonist's view, but when the antagonist attacks, it switches to their perspective. If you get caught, you get to witness the monster chasing them down before cutting to black.
- Complexity Addiction: Tends to be the Fatal Flaw of his threats/villains. For whatever reasons, despite their Antagonist Abilities, they have to follow certain rules (often Weaksauce Weaknesses); and can't just bum-rush his heroes however/whenever.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: The Bit More Know Zero lacks any Funny Animal characters whatsoever (unless you count the weird monster that carjacks you after you make a run for it), only has one ending, and doesn't employ a Camera Perspective Switch from the monster's perspective. Additionally, while the other protagonists defend themselves with stealth and wits, the main character here uses a shotgun she had in the back of her car.
- Horror Comedy: Overall Zed_Technician's games fall under this genre, being a perfect mix of terrifying and hilarious. The ending for a The Bit More Know Zero epitomizes this: after spending the entire game trying to prevent the monster from trying to kill you in your own car, Sandra makes a run for it once the coast is clear. Cue said horrific monster then carjacking Sandra's vehicle and comically stating "Vroom, vroom," before driving away into the woods.
- Lions and Tigers and Humans... Oh, My!: The game's casts incorporate humanoid animals and actual humans, most prominently in The Vermander Curse. While The Bit More Know Zero lacks anthro characters and The Man From The Window and Beware The Shadowcatcher lack human characters, the implied Shared Universe still stands.
- In addition to humans and animals, Beware The Shadowcatcher introduces Shadow People, The Vermander Curse establishes aquatic creatures like Axolotls and Octopi, and Midnight Maid Night establishes insects and Half-Human Hybrids (assuming that's what Naomi is, she could also be a Harpy or Kikimora).
- Multiple Endings: With the exception of The Bit More Know Zero, each game has more than one ending. The Golden Ending is achievable by not making a single mistake, which usually entails Everybody Lives.
- Any ending that isn't the Golden Ending falls squarely into Downer Ending, or the rare Bittersweet Ending at best, with a short epilogue about the characters' fates.
- Non-Mammal Mammaries: A woman's species, be it aquatic, avian or even magical in nature has seemingly no bearing on how stacked and chubby she'll inevitably be in this series.
- Shared Universe: All the games are set in the same universe.
- World of Buxom: These games take place in a world where apparently 90% of the female population consists entirely of massively wide and busty individuals of every conceivable race and species.
