Virginia Anne McKenna OBE (born 7 June 1931 in Marylebone, London) is an English actress active since the 1950s. She is also a wildlife activist and cofounder with husband Bill Travers of the Born Free Foundation, which works to keep animals in the wild. It was named after what might be McKenna’s best-known role, as Real Life naturalist Joy Adamson in Born Free.
McKenna’s first husband was Denholm Elliott. Her granddaughter by Travers is actress Lily Travers.
