Frank Theodore "Ted" Levine (born May 29, 1957 in Bellaire, Ohio) is an American character actor.
He is perhaps best known as Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb in The Silence of the Lambs and Captain Leland Stottlemeyer on Monk.
