James Firman Daly (October 13, 1918 - July 3, 1978) was an American actor best known for Planet of the Apes (1968), The Young Stranger (1957), and The Big Bounce (1969).
He was married to Hope Newell and they had four children, including Tyne and Tim Daly.
Daly died in 1978 at the age of 59 from a heart attack. In 2016, Tim Daly revealed that his father was gay.
