  • Luis Fonsi in Despacito 2 threatens a kid to get away from his giant mango (though he also asks someone to eat his oversized biscuit), eats several tacos and burritos in midair, and states that provoked crickets are the best meal.

• Die, Chair, Die!: Parodied in "PewDiePie has a Mental Breakdown", where Felix repeatedly hits his sentient chair in anger.

• Driven to Suicide: Ugandan Knuckles in 2018 In a Nutshell So Far in a parody of the Logan Paul Suicide Forest controversy. Also happens to PewDiePie in PewDiePie has a Mental Breakdown in a similar parody of the controversy.
• Eat the Camera: Inverted in Better Call Finger, which has its first instance of the "He defecated through a sunroof!" song end by zooming out of Walter White's screaming mouth as a scene transition.
• Evil Sounds Deep: In This Is America 2, a low-pitched version of Childish Gambino's voice saying "This is America, don't catch you slipping up" (notably the only time in the video that the sentence "this is America" is actually stated) is played as Gambino is being chased through the hallways by giant Demonetization symbols.
• Foreign Queasine: Puerto Rican Luis Fonsi apparently loves eating provoked crickets.
• Makes Just as Much Sense in Context: Some sentences, like:

  Fonsi: You need a high IQ to get the E, but I'm a silly man with a small dick, so to compensate I'd rather be a pussy.

• Spared by the Adaptation: The church choir in This is America 2 avoids being gunned down by Gambino (unlike their counterparts in the original song), namely because they're so weird that even Gambino is unsettled by them and leaves once he sees them.
• Take That!:
  • One towards the Paul brothers (Logan and Jake) in Meme Rewind 2017, with their part of the video containing dissonant hooting and flashing words saying "QUALITY CONTENT". Also in PewDiePie has a Mental Breakdown, when Logan busts in with a camera when Felix says he wants to die. When Felix follows through with that, Logan uploads the video online.

  • After Despacito 2 was temporarily blocked by YouTube for apparently having a misleading title, practically every succeeding video has one towards YouTube and its content policy, usually with the Demonetization logo acting as a Gag Censor for nudity, swearing, or references to death.
    • Similarly, in Why People Are Freaking Out About Despacito 2... Dolan Dark Stealing Memes And More, Philip DeFranco states that Despacito 2 is better than the "disgusting first one", prompting a copyright takedown (note that this video was made before the aforementioned block). DeFranco then tries to apologize and says his brain was hacked, but points out that he's only doing this because some people (accompanied by a picture of Luis Fonsi) might be triggered.
• Toilet Humor: A frequent element in the poops, such as Luis Fonsi taking a dump and singing "Took a shit-o", Childish Gambino taking a dump on his cousin's car, and Logan Paul threatening to poop on KSI's head. "He defecated through a sunroof" is referenced many times during "Better Call Finger".
