William Eugene Burrows Jr. (November 30, 1945 – June 24, 2019), known professionally by his stage name Billy Drago, was an American television and film actor mainly known for playing villains across a variety of genres.
Burrows was born in Hugoton, Kansas, where he spent most of his free time at the local movie theater, which inspired him to join a touring theatre group after high school, and later work as a stuntman at Boot Hill in Dodge City, Kansas. After finishing college, he joined an acting company, and he would take the stage name of Billy Drago to avoid confusion with another actor.
His son is actor Darren E. Burrows
On June 24, 2019, Drago died in Los Angeles at the age of 73 from complications following a stroke.
