First published in 2018 as a two-part miniseries, Infinity Wars: Soldier Supreme was written by Gerry Duggan detailing the origins of the Infinity Warps version of Stephen Rogers, AKA Soldier Supreme. Soldier Supreme, like the rest of Infinity Warps, is part of Infinity Wars (2018).

For the solo comics of the other Warp World Defenders, see Arachknight, Ghost Panther, Iron Hammer, and Weapon Hex.

Tropes featured in Soldier Supreme:

  • Adaptational Badass: Everyone. In-Universe. Each Composite Character has the combined powers of whichever characters were merged to create them.
  • Alternate History: Much like Captain America, Soldier Supreme's origin take solace during an alternate WWII.
  • Barrier Warrior: Stephen creates his shield from magic.
  • Big Bad: Dormammu Red.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Bucky Wong appears whenever Steve needs him.
  • Composite Character: Basically all of the characters in the comic fall under this trope. They include Stephen Rogers/Soldier Supreme (Steve Rogers/Captain America and Doctor Stephen Strange), Morgan Erskine (Abraham Erskine and Morgan Le Fay), Dum Dum Fury (Dum Dum Dugan and Nick Fury), Bucky Wong (The Winter Soldier and Wong), Dormammu Red (Dormammu and Red Skull), and M.O.R.D.OC. (Baron Mordo and M.O.D.O.K.).
  • Cyborg: Bucky has a mechanical arm like the Winter Soldier.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Stephen gets pretty snarky at the US Army's increasingly zealous testing of his magic abilities.
  • Depleted Phlebotinum Shells: Bucky's guns are loaded with bullets laced with history.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: See Not So Above It All.
  • Dragged Off to Hell: Dormammu Red drags Stephen into the Dark Dimension at the end of Issue 1.
  • Exact Words: Dr. Erskine promised the U.S. army a super-soldier. She just didn't specify as to how she was to go about creating one.
  • Gender Flip: Dr. Erskine is usually male, but made female as a result of warping him with Morgan le Fey.
  • Ghostapo: Dormammu Red is super-powered demon working for Nazi Germany.
  • Military Mage: Stephen Rogers is a soldier with magical abilities.
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: Bucky is a cyborg ghost soldier in the present day.
  • Not So Above It All: When M.O.R.D.OC. has his cult attempt to summon Satan from Hell, their incantation ends up summoning Soldier Supreme instead. One of the cultists quickly mistakes the intruder for her dark lord.
Female Cultist (Erin): Wow. Satan is more handsome than I would have guessed.
    Male Cultist (Ryan): Really, Erin?
Erin: Satan would want me to have these lustful feelings, Ryan.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted by combining Steven Rogers and Stephen Strange into a single person.
  • Our Centaurs Are Different: Stephen briefly rides a centaur wielding some kind of spear while in the Dark Dimension.
  • Summoning Ritual: A group of hooded figures perform one in an attempt to summon Satan. They accidentally summon Stephen instead.
  • Patriotic Fervor: Stephen inherits Steve Rogers' love of his country, just applied in a slightly different fashion.
  • Pocket Dimension: The universe of the Infinity Warps exists within Soul World in the soul stone.
  • Tanks for Nothing: Downplayed. When Stephen is testing his powers, his magic shield protects him from a tank shell.
