- Brainwashed and Crazy: The Black Miasma from the mountain not only changed his appearance, it did a number on his psyche to the point of turning him violent and seeking to wreak havoc.
- Climax Boss: Of Chapter 1.
- Hopeless Boss Fight: The first battle with Decel is unwinnable (he's 40 levels above you), so your objective is to run away while Tenert and Libera distract him.
- Starter Villain: Serves as the first "antagonist" the player has to deal with.

- Anti-Villain: Mauze fights the Adventurer as part of the New Moon Palace's final trial. Beyond that, he's an overall nice guy.
- Power Nullifier: Halfway through the fight he unleashes 2 attacks, the first one inflicts Bleeding while the second one inflicts Silence, and this attack is undodgable, but does little damage to compensate.

- Wakeup Call Boss: It hits hard for how early in the story you fight it, as a sign of the ramping difficulty for future boss fights.
- Stationary Boss: Is bound to the entrance to the underground cave.

- BFS: His weapon of choice is a giant sword which he carries on his shoulder.
- Leeroy Jenkins: Ruzart wastes no time in shutting up his leader, and jump to grab the Premiere Gem from the statue's hand. This results in Decel seizing the opportunity to break the Minotaur's seal.
- Jerkass: When he is not posing as the Masked Warrior, Ruzart acts like a dick to his superior Cipiwon, and the Adventurer.
- Multilayer Façade: Ruzart still has his helmet on under that tribal mask.

- Flunky Boss: Otherworldly enemies spawn during the fight, forcing the party to have to split their attention between them and the boss.
- No-Sell: Does not get incapacitated by attacks that deal Flinch, Stun, or Tumble, and if inflicted with said statuses, hits the entire party with an attack that inflicts the status that was inflicted on them.

- Gameplay and Story Segregation: His death and the storage's destruction won't prevent you from coming back there and fight York again.
- Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: Being bullied by his comrades for not being able to use magic really triggered him.
- Power Fist: Holy shit! How can he even wear a claw gauntlet three times bigger than he is?
- Rewarded as a Traitor Deserves: This is the reason why York decides to wait for death as the storage crumbles down.
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: The storage is set on fire by Venena Coenubia once York is defeated, with him concluding he's no longer useful to her.
