The Adventurer
Your player character.
- Amnesiac Hero: Implied that they have no memories before getting involved with the plot.
- Back from the Dead: After dying to the Black Crystal Beast, they wake up in the Dark World. After solving the problems there, they return to the normal world to a worried Pelulu.
- Chronic Hero Syndrome: There's no Fetch Quest the Adventurer will say no to.
- Heroic Mime: The typical mute protagonist who pantomimes a lot, though it's noted that they do talk, we just don't see it outside of the narration textboxes that are implied to be their thoughts.
Pelulu
- Butt-Monkey: She is usually the first to either trigger a trap, be attacked, or otherwise have some sort of misfortune happen that the Adventurer has to drag her out of.
- Cowardly Sidekick: Joins on your adventure for pretty much the whole game, but never raises a finger on the monsters the Adventurer has to deal with. While they're doing the fighting, she just goes to hide somewhere else. It isn't until chapter 7 where she finally decides to wield a weapon and fight alongside the Adventurer.
- Reckless Sidekick: More than often Pelulu ends up surrounded by monsters whenever she separates from the Adventurer.
- Tragic Keepsake: Nino's hammer.
- Only in It for the Money: She only hangs around with the Adventurer just so she can get the Holy Gems on her hands and make a huge profit off of them.
