Riders

    Alexander

The (Tiny) King of Conquerors

"Servant, Rider. As for my name...hmm...Just call me Alexander!"

Alexander the Great summoned as the innocent young prince of Macedonia both in body and mind. He still has all his memories of his exploits but it gets a bit foggy for him when it comes to stuff that happened after his adolescence.

He's an antagonist in the Second Singularity: Eternal Madness Empire Septem.

  • Badass Adorable: He's a very cute boy who's quite formidable in battle, and later grows up to become the big, manly, and even more badass Iskandar.
  • Headbutting Heroes: Has this dynamic with Izuku, as they tend to disagree about many things. They are friends at the end of the day, however.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Even for someone in his mid-teens, Alexander is absolutely tiny (151cm/4'11"). This is more shocking when you compare it to his adult height (‎212cm/6'11"). He literally gains two feet in a few years.
  • Super Mode: Not quite in the vein one would think, but using Zeus Funder enough times will age him up to his adult self as Iskandar.
  • Teen Genius: He's still only a kid, but he is the guy who would eventually become Iskandar, and even in this form possesses a great deal of Iskandar's tactical genius.

    Boudica
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fgo_boudica_1.png
Queen of the Iceni

"Servant, Rider. And you already know the rest. Told you guys I'd see you soon!"

A young warrior-queen of the British frontierlands that held off Roman might for decades before she was finally overwhelmed by Nero, after which she either killed herself to spare herself further disgrace or died of an illness. Her name has resurfaced in Victorian Britain as the "Queen of Victory". This version represents her younger, more idealistic self before being worn by Rome.

She appears as an ally in Rome, serving as Nero's main general.

  • Berserk Button: She really hates Romans, especially Nero, for what they did to her family and people, though she is willing to grudgingly work with them against a greater threat.
  • Irrational Hatred: Played with. On one hand, her hatred against Rome is justifiable due to her backstory, but on the other hand, she holds a grudge to anyone who's associated with Rome, not just those who are directly responsible for the atrocities against her people. Granted, she at least tries to keep it in check, but it's still nonetheless noticeable.
  • Mama Bear: Definitely qualifies as this, considering her backstory. When Rome denied her the inheritance of tribal leadership following her husband's death, then publicly flogged her and raped her daughters, she responded by uniting the other tribes of Britannia and leading a revolution that nearly pushed the Romans out of their territory. Her forces razed Londinium (what is now modern-day London) with such ferocity that there are still scorch marks four metres below London, which archaeologists refer to as "The Boudica Destruction Layer." To say she is not to be trifled with is an understatement.

    Saint Georgios

The Dragon-slaying Saint

"I am Georgios, a Rider-class Servant. I have been summoned and come upon your request. Now let's try our best!"

The Dragon-slaying Saint, a saint of the Catholic Church whose main stories are in the Golden Legend, a collection of legends on saints, and in the Seven Champions of Christendom.

    Marie Antoinette

The Princess of the Crystal Palace

"Servant, Rider. Bonjour, mes amis! I am the last queen of France, Marie Antoinette! Vive la France!"

The Habsburg-born Queen of France. The ephemeral wife of the 18th-century king, Louis XVI, and embodiment of the "rule by aristocracy" in the European world. She lost her life in a changing world, during a chaotic period where the right of monarchy was no longer absolute.

Although a target of hatred by many people during the Age of Revolution, her reputation has been restored in modern France. During famines, she reduced court expenses to make donations, demanded herself for the nobility to provide support to the people and such - it has thus being confirmed she was a woman that thought in the people.

  • 0% Approval Rating: The starving populace of France were frustrated with the monarchy's hedonistic spending and the costly debts caused by the American Revolution, which were pinned on Marie herself as the reigning icon of nobility and fashion despite her efforts to help them, leading to this trope.
  • All Girls Like Ponies: Her Noble Phantasm is a crystal horse.
  • All-Loving Heroine: To the point where she holds no hard feelings towards Charles-Henri Sanson, her executioner.
  • Charm Person: With her Personal Skill, Alluring Voice, which can inflict Charm status on males.
  • Cool Horse: A light blue, spectral one, which she uses in her Noble Phantasm, Guillotine Breaker: Glory to the Crown of Lilies. The "Moon Goddess" event reveals she she has an entire chariot made of crystal pulled by this horse.
  • Courtly Love: Her skill, Princess of Loveliness, inspires those with knightly attributes to perform Knight Errant actions for her behalf through sheer charisma.

    Saint Martha
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fgo_martha_1.png
The Dragontamer Saint

"Servant, Rider. I am Martha. Though I may be a saint, please, just call me Martha."

A holy woman from the 1st Century who appeased the evil dragon Tarasque. Guided by the words of the Messiah, whom she and her siblings gave a warm reception, she became a believer. A perfect person, possessing beauty and overflowing with charm, a holy maiden that made a frightening monster fall madly in love.

She did not abandon her faith even after the messiah was executed, avoiding death even after being exiled by the Roman viceroy of the time, and drifted to South France upon receiving the grace of God. At the city of Nerluc, by the Rhone River, she ended up confronting a cruel dragon that was tormenting the people, Tarasque.

  • Badass Preacher: If she wasn't this in life, then she definitely is one as a Servant.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Keep in mind: Martha is a kind woman, but she also beat a dragon into obeying her. You don't mess with this saint.
  • Blatant Lies: She propagated the myth that she defeated Tarasque through prayer in order to promote the virtues of faith and good conduct to those that heard the tale. It's very quickly implied thay she actually just beat it into submission.
  • Blood Knight: Downplayed, but ever-present. She constantly denies it, but in most of her appearances she's inches away from admitting that she'd prefer to just brawl people until they see eye-to-eye. Other characters like Kojirou see it plain as day, but for her part she's (mostly) able to restrain herself.
  • Outraged By Idiocy: Despite wanting to keep her martial abilities under wraps, her anger at Izuku's mistakes during a training session with Emiya leads her to step in and correct him.

    Medusa
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/medusa_1.png
Bewitching Black Serpent
Without Her Blindfold

"Very Strange...For you, of all people, to not only summon me, but like this...I wonder, do you even realize what you did? ...No, I suppose you wouldn't. You are just a little too innocent to seek me out on purpose. Oh, excuse me. Rider, Servant. I am known as Medusa. Use me as you see fit, Master."

Youngest of the Gorgon sisters. Originally a chthonic deity, she and her sisters had to flee to a shapeless island due to the arrival of the Olympian deities and their fanatical faithful. Despite her beauty, she has been variously described as a serpentine monster who petrifies anyone foolish enough to gaze into her. Through it all, she is rather indifferent and would rather drink and read, and was also the only one of the three sisters to "grow".

  • Animal Motifs: Rider gets motifs for both horses for her ability to summon Pegasus and snakes as befits her real identity.
  • Big Little Sister: She's the youngest of the Gorgon sisters and the only one who resembles an adult woman. Even in myth, Medusa was the only one to be mortal and age normally.
  • Blindfolded Vision: Her blindfold Breaker Gorgon is stated in the Status sheets to seal all properties of her eyes, including vision, so she relies on her other senses for everything. It works well enough that her blindness isn't noticeable at all.
  • Chain Pain: Her standard weapon is a nail-like dagger attached to a long chain.
  • Cool Horse: She summons Pegasus as one of her Noble Phantasms, Bellerophon. Pegasus has enough mystery that it's comparable to those of dragons.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Her appearance and abilities based in blood and darkness just scream dark creature, and it's not helped by her vampiric traits, but once you get to know her, she's really not that bad.
  • Gorgeous Gorgon: She is the Gorgon and is considered very lovely.
