The creation of Victor Frankenstein, abandoned and left to wander the lands. He comes to the tower to search for answers to his origins.
  • Frankenstein's Monster: Pretty much.
  • Heroic Willpower: The Creature pulls this off twice.
    • The first time was when the Siren attempted to lull him into illusions made of happy memories, but he broke out of it.
    • The second time was when he confronted the Nepe posing as Victor as he refused to succumb to his intent on erasing his existence.
  • Horned Humanoid: The Creature has horns on his head, suggesting he might have ties with the Nepes in Victor's experiment.
  • Intelligible Unintelligible: To the surprise of his friends, the Creature is able to understand Ben's broken speech.

A mortician with an obsession with money that helps the Hunters fend off the Nepes.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Noah has darker skin than the rest of his comrades, but it's never explained in the game.
  • Creepy Mortician: Downplayed. He is a bit eccentric and is fixated on money. However, his memories and dialogues show he isn't a bad person, and he has a good reason to acquire money.
  • Orphan's Ordeal: Noah's memories reveal he was orphaned as a child.
  • Saving the Orphanage: Noah's goal was to save as much money as he can in his career to ensure the orphanage he grew up in doesn't lose fundings.

    Justine

A young woman with sewing skills that traverses the tower with fellow Hunters despite being a scaredy-cat.
  • False Confession: Justine was forced to falsely confess to child murder under threat of going to Hell if she doesn't.
  • Idiot Hair: She has a strand of hair sticking out, befitting someone who isn't too familiar with dealing with the Nepes among the Hunters.
  • Miscarriage of Justice: She was the victim of this, but she avoided execution due to Victor and Elizabeth's secret intervention.
  • Self-Imposed Exile: To save herself from execution, Justine was instructed by Victor to flee for the tower, where she won't be found by her accusers.

    Alex

A woman who has hunted Nepes for years, and now leads the ragtag group that made their way to the tower.
  • Hunter of Monsters: Alex has been hunting Nepes and retrieving memory fragments for years.

    Ben

A strange man who lost much of his memory, resulting in his face appearing ghostly.
  • Driven to Suicide: After every horrible thing he went through, Ben attempted suicide because he couldn't take it anymore. It didn't work for him.
  • Hulk Speak: Ben is only able to communicate with one or two words at a time.

    Leon

  • Stepford Smiler: Leon presents himself as a confident and optimistic man. However, he harbors grief for a friend lost at sea.

  • Exhausted Eye Bags: Hanna has these, possibly because of her affliction by the Nepes and the grief she carries with her.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: Hanna lost her child in a tragic accident, which led her to reach out to Victor for help.

A childlike Nepe, who stalks the 1st Floor. She is obsessed with celebrating her birthday.
  • Creepy Child: 701 is childlike in appearance, has dominion over the 1st Floor with her wide array of stuffed toys acting as obstacles or enemies, and she demands that people celebrate her birthday with her.

    Raven

A Nepe that haunts the 2nd Floor. It is faced by the Creature in order to save Justine.

    EL

A young boy who follows Noah and Justine around the tower before taking an interest in the Nameless Creature. He's the Nepe that the Creature faces off on the 3rd Floor.
  • Evil All Along: EL is revealed to actually be a Nepe in disguise, following around the Hunters and interacting with the Creature solely to sate his twisted curiosity.

  • Lotus-Eater Machine: The Siren uses its power to force its victims to relive their happiest memory like an eternal dream.

The man who created the Creature. He is the person his creation seeks answers from inside the tower.
  • For Science!: Victor's motivation into creating life, partly motivated by the death of his mother as seen in a memory fragment. It is also his reason for researching the Nepes.
