The first Dark Lord of the Sith. A former Jedi Master, he became interested in alchemy and discovered the power to create life. The Jedi Order denounced it as an abomination and deemed that Pall and his followers had become pawns of the Dark Side. Pall and his followers declared war on the Order, a conflict known as the Hundred-Year Darkness.
- Being Evil Sucks: By the time Revan finds him, he comes to the conclusion that their rebellion against Jedi was wrong and not worth it.
- Creating Life Is Bad: What got him started. Pall started using alchemy to create life, which the Jedi Order found offensive. Pall and his followers responded by declaring war on them.
- Evil Weapon: His sword was regarded as this, with its own delightful little nursery rhyme:"I am that which grips the heart in fright, hearkens night and silences the light.
- Heel–Face Turn: It's possible, in Knights of the Old Republic, to convince his ghost to give up on the dark side and finally become one with the Force after three thousand years of torment.
- The Usurper: He killed King Hakagram Graush and declared himself Dark Lord of the Sith
- Older Than They Look / Really 700 Years Old: Images of him definitely make him seem young, but he was already well over a hundred years old by the time he and his companions declared themselves as Sith Lords.
- Our Founder: He's the first Dark Lord of the Sith in the Legends continuity and the founder of the Old Sith Empire.
- Villainous BSoD: By the time Revan finds him, he's been in one for a very long time. It’s up to him whether he snaps the old Sith back to a Heel–Face Turn to get him out of it or not.
- Was It Really Worth It?: By the time Revan finds his ghost, he's had a lot of time to think on matters, and decides that no, it wasn't.

The owner of a Sith talisman with the power to spread a plague that could transform beings into rakghouls while giving him immortality.
- The Beastmaster: He commands the rakghouls through the amulet Sorzus Syn gave him.
- Big Bad: Of the Vector story arc.
- Demonic Possession: He inflicts this on Celeste Morne.
- Pointy Ears: He looks rather elf-like because of this, and is why we're not sure if he's human.
- Sitcom Archnemesis: With Dreypa.
- Soul Jar: His soul lived on through his talisman, enabling him to menace multiple generations of later heroes and villains across thousands of years.

- Action Girl: Marchioness of the Black Legion.
- Deadly Doctor: Both a talented healer and a depraved Sith Lord.
- Evil Mentor: To Darth Krayt, who discovered her tomb during the reign of the Galactic Empire and learned the ways of the Dark Side.
- Our Founder: While she didn't found the One Sith, they revere her as Krayt's teacher, and there are statues of her on Korriban and Coruscant.

- And I Must Scream: His oubliettes were designed to inflict this, keeping the prisoner alive and aware of their condition until the end of time. His own followers grew so disgusted by his actions on Kesh that they ended up doing it to him.
- Attack! Attack! Attack!: He was so impatient to get revenge on the Jedi that he left Sith space to go restart the war. It ended poorly for him, and he wound up stranded on Kesh.
- Big Bad: Of Lost Tribe of the Sith: Spiral.

- Artifact of Doom: She was fond of making them, like the amulets she gave Muur and Dreypa.
- Badass Creed: Syn wrote the Sith Code as a reflection of the Exiles' rejection of the Jedi philosophy.
- Maker of Monsters: A master of Sith alchemy, she bred a number of monsters during and after the Hundred-Year Darkness.
- Manipulative Bastard: She used Dreypa's rivalry with Muur to test out some of her creations.
- Meaningful Name: It sounds a lot like "sorcerous sin".
