"You can call me Dark Codex. I am the spirit of a sorcerer that has been living inside the grimoire Blade had discovered decades ago."

Dark Codex is the spirit of a sorcer that was trapped inside a spell book called the Grimmoir until he was released by Blade Swipe. He's the true antagonist of Turtles Of Equestria.


  • Connected All Along: He was once the royal sorcerer to Sabel Spirit, but was banished when he tried to steal the throne. He then fought Starswirl The Bearded but was defeated and trapped inside his spell book.

  • Hidden Villain: He spent most of Turtles Of Equestria disguised as a crow and revealed himself after Blade Swipe's Heel–Face Turn.

  • Manipulative Bastard: He pretended to be Blade Swipe's friend just to feed off his hatered to regain his lost power.

  • Shout-Out: His demise is similar to Jafar's from Aladdin II The Return Of Jafar.

  • You Monster!: Melody Spirit calls him this.

Night Terror is the leader of the Purple Nightmare pony gang from Manehattan. Same for his human counterpart.


  • The Brute: Very much so.

  • The Dragon: His pony counterpart was to 1987 Shredder, Krang, and Queen Chrystalis in Friendship School

  • Curb-Stomp Battle: In Friendship School, His pony counterpart does this to Casey and Keno in their first encounter. And later does it to the Young Six after joining forces with Shredder, Krang, and Chrysilas. But then subverted, after Metalhead frees them, they work together and overwhelm him.

    • Subverted with Metalhead as the robot blasted him with a rocket fist.

    • Zig-zagged with human counterpart.

      • In Magical Mayhem, his human counterpart's first appearance, he gets his butt handed to him by Applejack and latter by Maud. But in his second appearance, he manages to beat down Raph, Applejack, Gabrielle, Blade, Casey, Keno. His last appearance it takes all of the Turtles, Rainbooms, and Allies to overwhelm him.

  • Expy: Of Hun from the 2003 TMNT series. Even saying his catchphrase "Ah Crud".

  • Shout-Out: Like Hun, he briefly works for a Shredder and an evil Utrom when he teams up with 1987 Shredder and Krang.

  • Took a Level in Badass: He was already tough as a pony, but when he and his gang get mutated, he becomes even stronger, able to wrestle with Rocksteady.

  • Unskilled, but Strong: What he lacks in combat, he completely makes up for in sure muscle.

  • Would Hit a Girl: His human counterpart has no problem with smacking around Applejack, Gabrielle, and Angel.

  • Would Hurt a Child: He Curb-Stomp Battle the Young Six when he's sent by Shredder and Krang to capture them.
    • His human counterpart also smacks around Angel and throws her off a building.

  • Worthy Opponent: To Rocksteady after being mutated.

     The Purple Nightmares

The Purple Nightmares are pony street gang from Manehattan that worshipped Nightmare Moon. They teamed up with 1987 Shredder, Krang, and Queen Chrystalis in Friendship School fic. They were eventually injected with mutagen by Krang, making them into mutants like Blade Swipe.

They're human counterparts appear in the fic Magical Mayhem.


  • Expy: Their based off the Purple Dragons.

  • TattooedCrook: Like the Purple Dragons, they all have a tattoo of Nightmare Moon on their arms.

  • Took a Level in Badass: When they become mutants, their even tougher then they were before.

     Kai Hardstrike

A sociopathic human sensei to the Viper Kai dojo in Canterlot and the villainous uncle to Shark/ Swift Wing. He appears in Magical Mayhem and is the main antagonist in Viper Kai.


  • Berserk Button: Does NOT like being told no. And he also doesn't like to lose.

  • Composite Character: He's based off John Kreese and his devious tactics make him similar Terry Silver.

  • Connected All Along: He was a Foot Soldier and part of the Elite Guard until Shredder replaced them with Footbots.

  • Evil Uncle: He is this to Shark.

  • Expy: Of John Kreese from the Karate Kid and Cobra Kai.

  • Might Makes Right: He believes in this mind set and teaches his students to have this as well, turning them, including his nephew, into bullies.

  • Would Hurt a Child:

    • He tried to hit Bright Eyes in his first appearance, when she refused to join his dojo. And in Viper Kai, he tried to kick her after she beat Lightning Dust in the final round in the Martial Arts Tournament.

    • Lancer explains that when he spoke out against his teachings, Kai had him leave with a bloody nose. Just like what Kreese did to Dimitri.

  • Virtue Is Weakness: Just like Kreese, Kai believes showing mercy is a weakness and teaches his students to be completely ruthless toward their enemies.

TMNT Villains

     Panther

Bruce Chesney was a zookeeper until he was hit by one of the spilled canisters of mutagen from Mutation Situation and became the villain Panther. He's an antagonist from Rainboom and Crystal Ninjas


  • One-Shot Character: After his defeat, the Ninjas ship him off to Africa in a crate and he isn't seen again afterwards.

  • Screw the Rules, I Have Supernatural Powers!!: He believed being a mutant made him above anyone normal and deserved to have whatever he wanted. He tried to get Bandit Raccoon to see this, but Bandit rejected it.

  • Would Hit a Girl: Attacked Juniper Montage and even wanted to eat her, until Bandit stopped him.
    Dr. Abigail Finn 

Dr. Abigail Finn a.k.a The Monster Hunter is an obsessive woman determined to prove the existence of monsters by any means necessary. She appears in Magical Mayhem as a minor antagonist and is one of the main villains of Magic in Manhattan.


  • Adaptational Curves: The original Dr. Finn was a Brawn Hilda, this version of Abigail Finn is much more slender.

  • Ambition Is Evil: Dr. Finn will do anything to prove that monsters are real and is perfectly willing to hurt said "monsters" to do it, and will take out anyone who stands in her way.

  • Bad Boss: She didn't treat her assistant Parker too well, which led to him quitting.

  • Bad People Abuse Animals: Very much so. Dr Finn has no qualms about hunting, and potentially hurting, innocent creatures. Only caring about the fame and admiration they'll bring to her.

  • Butt-Monkey: Her first appearance has her suffering a lot of humiliation, from having Spike rip a hole in her pants, being assaulted by Granny Smith with a broom, and is made a laughing stock by the end after her "Green Man" turns out to be a disguised Casey. Then as a cherry on top, she ends up getting arrested.

  • Connected All Along: She, Rockwell, and Falco were students at a university. She also knew Chaplin Gomez when he was an honor student.

  • Laser-Guided Karma: For all the trouble she causes in her first appearance, Dr. Finn is arrested offscreen by the police.

  • No Sympathy For Grudge Holders: In Magic in Manhattan, when she meets up with Chaplin again, she tries to blast him for humiliating her all those years ago.

    Vitor Sousa/A-Prime

Vitor Sousa is a former crime boss from Brazil and Xever's old partner in crime who appeared in the TMNT New Animated Adventures comic series and appears in the fic Magical Mayhem, where he is now a mutant monkey.


  • Ascended Extra: He was a one-off comic villain, but he returns in Magical Mayhem.

  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: As it was explained in his debut comic, Vitor sold Xever out to the police, which is how he ended up in the Foot Clan. After his mutation, he and Xever, now Fishface, rekindle their partnership only for Vitor to turn on him.
    Fishface: Backstage! Once a traitor, always a traitor!
    A-Prime: And proud of it!
    Arboost Gang 

The Arboost Gang are a family of cowboy gangsters.


  • Adaptation Name Given: Mr Arboost's name in this fic is revealed to be George.

  • Connected All Along: Mr Arboost was a business partner to Buffy Shellhammer's farther. He also Don Vizioso and took over his restaurant, turning it into a texas BBQ.

  • Expy: Match and Bull are based off Slim and his brothers, Robbie and Bobbie, from the 2003 TMNT episode The Golden Puck.
