    General
  • Expy: Downplayed: It's based off of the Sol Empire, but as next to nothing is actually known about it in canon, nearly everything about it is original.
  • Hegemonic Empire: The Proxima Empire is one of the world's Great Powers, being a mighty empire with colonies and territories outside its borders. However, most of their territories are the result of nations and peoples joining them willingly and they are benevolent. The ones taken by force are ones who tried to attack them first and were defeated in the resulting war.

Proxima Royal Family

    General
  • Godzilla Threshold: As the Proxima Emeralds are an extremely powerful weapon, they will only use them in times of great need as a trump card. Otherwise, they're kept under lock and key.
  • Playing with Fire: The royal bloodline is descended from a fire god, and thus has pyrokinetic abilities.
  • Super Mode: The Proxima Royal Family have access to the Proxima Emeralds, allowing them to assume Burning Form using them. This allows them to fight on par with gods and are the country's ultimate trump card.

    Queen Nwfa, the First Flame

Queen Nwfa is the fabled, first queen and founder of the Proxima Dominion.

    Queen Shamsi

Queen Shamsi is the current queen of the Proxima Dominion and blood heir to its dynasty.
  • The Emperor: While her official title is Queen, she's more of an Empress in terms of actual rank since she rules over a Hegemonic Empire. Fortunately, she's a benevolent example.
  • The High Queen: She is a benevolent and good ruler who wants the best for her people.

    King Tawahaj

King Tawaha is Queen Shamsi's husband and current King of the Proxima Dominion.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: When the representative of the Defenders of Equus he's arguing with defends the faction's actions by stating they've saved the world and stopped hostile Visitor attacks in the past, Tawahaji retorts that Talon Bàis stopped evil dragons, but that doesn't change the fact they were monsters.
Defender of Equus: We have saved this world before! We have killed horrors from space that would've killed us all!
King Tawahaj: And Talon Bàis killed a lot of genuinely evil dragons and saved kingdoms. That doesn't change the fact they were still racist murderers.
  • Rags to Royalty: He was originally a palace servant, but ended up falling in love with and marrying Queen Shamsi, becoming the king of the Proxima Dominion.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: He tore into the Defenders of Equus over their irrational persecution of the Proxima, pointing out that doing so to refugee Visitors from another world just resulted in an Alien Invasion of Neighpon that wouldn't have happened had they not gotten involved.

    Crown-Princess Alniyran

Crown-Princess Alniyran is the heir of the Proxima Dominion and guardian of the Proxima Dominion.
  • An Ice Person: She's mastered the ability to create Cold Fire, allowing her to freeze things with her fire rather than simply burn them.
  • Child Prodigy: She's noted as being a prodigy with pyrokinesis, learning advanced techniques early and being among the strongest pyrokinetics in the world.
  • Cold Flames: She's capable of producing Cold Fire, fire that doesn't burn and can even freeze things. It's noted this is considered one of the most advanced and difficult to learn fire abilities in the setting, and can allow her to leave anything she doesn't want to burn unharmed. The fact she's already mastered it at her young age is a sign she's a Child Prodigy at it.
  • Expy: She's based off of Blaze the Cat, being a pyrokinetic princess and guardian of powerful, magical artifacts.
  • Playing with Fire: While all of the royal bloodline has pyrokinetic powers, Alniyran is the most powerful in the country's history, and one of the strongest in the world. Among other things, she's capable of using her flames to move at speeds approaching mach 1.
  • Super-Speed: Using her fire to propel herself, Alniyran can move approaching mach 1.
  • World's Strongest Man: She's the most powerful pyrokinetic in the Proxima Dominion's history, and one of the most powerful in the world. And this is without accounting for her Burning Form she can access using the Proxima Emeralds.

The Proxima

    General
  • Doomed Hometown: Their home world was destroyed by the Void Sovereign, leading to them fleeing to Tellus as refugees.
  • Expy: They're based off of the Ancients, being a race of refugees from a planet destroyed by a cosmic horror that brought powerful artifacts to the planet. They also built and used mecha akin to the Titans. They also physically resemble the Ancients.
  • The Good Chancellor: The Proxima act as advisors to the Proxima Royal Family. Due to being an ancient, highly advanced race of aliens, they provide very good advice that's aided the Dominion in becoming a Great Power.
  • Innocent Aliens: They're innocent refugees from a planet destroyed by the Void Sovereign who use their intelligence and experience to help the Proxima Dominion from behind the scenes. Even back in the Second Age when they arrived, they made First Contact by arriving in the system and asking to peacefully seek asylum on Tellus, willingly sharing their technology and magic in exchange.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Unlike the Ancients, they're very much still active and alive, though in hiding. This is because they didn't have to make their stand against the Void Sovereign alone.
