This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Let's Play.Dark Chaos Comms should be Indexed in Let's Plays

It's LetsPlay.Dark Chaos Comms. I'll move the page.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman@Panctice Squad Cutterback: That seems to be the precedent, yes. Web Original/ is to be used when stuff is on the web but doesn't fit in Website/, Web Video/, etc., or in a different area altogether (Web Serial Novels go in Literature/, for example).

^ This isn't the thread for that, though off the top of my head I don't know where it should be brought up.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpI request a removal of the "see the page quote" part of the first paragraph of Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch. I'm not sure whether it's solely a holdover from when the previous page quotation was about a video game, or if it was kept to draw parallels between generalizations about video games and generalizations about rap, (or for some other reason) but either way it just doesn't seem to fit.
Also, I request that the "usually" in the second paragraph be replaced with "often." I'm not sure how you could prove that Popcultural Osmosis is "usually" wrong.

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartOn the YouKnowThatShow/LiveActionTV page, is it possible to change the wick for RichardPryor to Creator/RichardPryor? If so, thank you.
Check out my site. The George The Animal Steele Fan Page! http://www.angelfire.com/fl3/jasonsite/gsteele.htmlThat's an archive, which shouldn't be edited.
I'd like Fun T-Shirt to be potholed in the picture caption for All Anime Is Naughty Tentacles.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Null-edit Administrivia, please. Because it was temporarily a redlink, the Wiki Sandbox now isn't being indexed there properly.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Got it.
Also done.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"On Adolf Hitler, The Messiah pothole needs to be changed to Messianic Archetype.
Macron's notesPedantic, but the header needs Locked Pages namespaced.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDone, along with the Example Indentation link.
YMMV.TV Tropes: Add this:
- Memetic Mutation: Lots. However, most of them are specific to the site itself. As for outside the site, there is "TV Tropes brought me here."
I assume people have already tried to add They Changed It, Now It Sucks!, but I don't mean it as Complaining, but rather, a general reaction.
- They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Even this site can be subject to this:
- The most complained about changes are locking off anonymous editing (wasn't our fault, though), splitting objective and subjective tropes, and the renaming of the "Crowning Moment of X" tropes. The latter would probably not have being so ferociously opposed if Linkara hadn't used the term not long before.
- A trope getting renamed can be subject to this, as can text formatting changes like the removal of strikethrough, color, and size options. Punctuated! For! Emphasis! suffered the worst, however.
- Recently deleting various tropes, taking away Troper Tales, and importing articles onto Wiki's have caused tropers to riot.
- Not to mention removing the strike through feature and the increasing push towards more mainstream and professional-looking articles. Some users feel that it takes away a lot of the community feel the site.
- The Second Google Incident led to numerous works pages being cut.
However, these edits aren't necessary.

I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful. No on the first as a Zero Context Example. No on the second because it's complaining.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Beresford Productions needs to be moved to Tropers.Beresford Productions.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAlright. Take two, with added context:
- Memetic Mutation: It is not uncommon to see "TV Tropes brought me here." on a comments section when this site does indeed link to whatever it. There are also enough in-jokes for a separate page.
On the Monster.Live Action TV page, please swap out the Being Human entry with:
- William Herrick, John Mitchell's sire, is a truly nasty piece of work. Initially hiding under a Friendly Neighborhood Vampire facade, Mitchell learns the truth when he sees that Herrick has kept a larder for the vampires consisting of homeless people and teenage runaways where they are fed on relentlessly with no time to recover. When Mitchell protests, Herrick puts him firmly in the 'minus' column and decides to kill him and everyone he loves. Later, Herrick casually slaughters an entire police station save one woman...then kills her as well because he doesn't want anyone to think he's gone soft. Even before he became a vampire, Herrick was a piece of work and was turned by his sire Hettie while trying to sell her to a brothel. Hettie looks ten.
- Kirby is the ghost of a serial killer whose favoured method of killing was to seduce women by pretending to be great with kids and then murder the families once they trusted him. He turns the housemates against each other through manipulation an shatters Annie the ghost her into pieces, before performing a celebratory Happy Dance and immediately attempting to murder a baby.
- Finally, we have Mr. Snow, the de facto leader of The Old Ones, the ruling class of vampires. Snow is so ancient he claims to have looked upon 'pharaohs and the son of the carpenter.' First introduced when he forces a ship's crew to feed him a luckless young man with the chilling tonight "Someone Or Everyone," Snow planned to launch a full war to enslave humanity and in the timeline where he isn't stopped, personally drained the British Prime Minister on live TV. Snow would preside over a regime where humans were enslaved and drained, all with nothing more than cheery good humor.
So, am I in the right by changing the meme pages to "WebOriginal/"?
I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful.
