So.

  • Cold-Blooded Torture: This would have been Finn's fate, if he had been executed by the Grounders. As stated by Lincoln, they would have executed him by cutting him several times, burning him, and dismembering him until he died.

Is the correct way to post this example. Thank you for the correction.

Can someone, please post this on Spacewalker, I have been banished from TV Trope land.sad

Making a correction to a past post on the page Bones.

  • Sadistic Choice: Lupovitch after shooting Jimmy in the flashbacks has everyone in the room with him to stab Jimmy with his switchblade by pointing a gun at them so that each of them shares responsibility in his death making it that neither of them can go to the police because if they do all of them would go to jail and of course it would be especially bad for them because they're all black and its the 70s which means that they would get a harsher sentence and its their word against Lupovitch who is a white cop.

to

  • Sadistic Choice: Lupovitch, after shooting Jimmy in the flashbacks, has everyone in the room with him by gun point, stab Jimmy with his own switchblade, placing their fingerprints on the weapon. This makes each of them share in the responsibility of his death, making it that none of them can go to the police. If they did go to the police, they would have all went to jail because they're all black, it's the 70's, and it's their word against Lupovitch, who is a white cop.

Is this new example correct?

For Spider-Man: Daily Bugle

Norah Winters is a young reporter who just started out at the Daily Bugle. Her first assignment was with Peter Parker.

  • Career Versus Man: When, during Spider-Island, Randy fought off the Hobgoblin (with the spider-powers he had acquired), Norah stayed on the sidelines to film the fight. Randy was angry that Norah put her career before their relationship and broke up with her.
  • Character Development: Once she fell she was not seen as a real reporter, but more as a pretty face, making her even more determined to become a real good journalist.
  • Deadpan Snarker: She seems to like sarcastic humor and Peter is usually the joke.
  • Genki Girl: She has a spontanious and outgoing personality, often bringing a smile to the people she meets.
  • Hot Scoop: To be a cute girl help in her work like when, during his fisrt assignment, she flirted with a male receptionist at Norman Osborn's headquarters so that Peter could sneak inside Norman's building.
  • Intrepid Reporter: Norah's nosy and unusual personality sometimes got her into trouble, but this was also what made her such a good reporter.
  • Romantic False Lead: To Peter Parker during the Brand New Day. She was often flirtatious with him while they worked together. But later began dating Randy Robertson, son of Robbie Robertson, editor of the Daily Bugle.
  • Transplant: She appear in The Punisher run by Greg Rucka where, reporting on a crime scene, help Frank when he was wounded after a fight.
  • Trauma Conga Line: In Superior Spiderman, Norah along with the rest of the Daily Bugle staff, learn from a television broadcast from Spider-Man (Otto Octavius) that his boyfriend Phil Urich is the new Hobgoblin. After Spider-Man goes to the Daily Bugle and forces him to expose himself to confirm this is true, Phil takes her hostage. Norah is able to break free allowing Spider-Man to subdue him. However, as this incident had stained the Bugle's reputation due to once again unknowingly hiring a criminal into their ranks, Robbie Robertson had no choice but to fire Norah from the Bugle's staff because of her affiliation with Phil.

Can someon help with this entry?

Ironic Nursery Tune: Polish lullaby "Był sobie król" tells a story of a king, a page and a princess, who lived happily together until they were eaten alive by various animals. At the end the narrator insists we shouldn't be sad for them, since they were made of sweets. Ironically, this reassurence gives the song even more unsettling feel.

For Combat Instinct:

  • Exclusive Enemy Equipment: Two of the enemy equipments in 3 can be acquired as hidden weapons with infinite ammo by looting their corpses.
    • The Hrumian Gatling Gun can be acquired from Hrumian Gunners by holding "Enter" while looting it and then equip it by pressing "*".
    • The Hrumian Flamethrower can be looted from the Fat Hrumian by looting it from the corpse after detonating it and then press "/" to equip it.

For YMMV/CombatInstinct:

  • Good Bad Bug: According to the programmer, the hitbox for the Hrumian Flamethrower in 3 was supposed to blink 1 frame every second, but when the finished product was imported from Flash 5 to Flash MX, the hitbox for the flamethrower ends up being mistranslated into "rocket damage" 30 times a second. The end result is a ridiculously powerful weapon which can virtually deliver One-Hit Kill onto everything on the screen. Bonus point for having infinite ammo.

I think Bee Afraid should have a new entry in the Video Games section:

    Video Games
  • Meteos double subverts this with Lethal Joke Character Hanihula. While the planet is full of bee aliens, its soundtrack is actually one of the most adorable out there, being full of laughter and joy, and the inhabitants themselves have a Sweet Tooth and always searching for sweets throughout by scents. What makes this planet deadly is that it's the highest scoring planet in the game, meaning it can't be beaten by a time out, where the planet that scores higher wins.

  • Two of the enemy equipments -> Two pieces of the enemy's equipment

  • "and then equip it by pressing "*". and "and then press "/" to equip it."

Why are you including this? Knowing how to equip it isn't part of Exclusive Enemy Equipment, is it?

  • which can virtually deliver One-Hit Kill -> which can deliver a virtual One-Hit Kill
  • Bonus point for -> Bonus points for

  • and always -> and are always
  • searching for sweets throughout by scents. -> searching for sweets by scent throughout the game.

While the planet is full of bee aliens, its soundtrack is actually one of the most adorable out there, being full of laughter and joy, and the inhabitants themselves have a Sweet Tooth and are always searching for sweets by scent throughout the game.

This is a really long sentence that should be broken up into two smaller ones for readability.

While the planet is full of bee aliens, its soundtrack is actually one of the most adorable out there, being full of laughter and joy. The inhabitants themselves have a Sweet Tooth and are always searching for sweets by scent throughout the game.

@3361 they are meant to be secret weapons, which are unavailable through normal means. Finding out how to loot and equip them is as cryptic as finding a cheat code or easter egg.

Can I ask for help with these:

  • Screening the Call: In The Witcher, Queen Calanthe of Cintra uses every trick in the book to stop her daughter Pavetta from marring a man to whom she was promised through the Law of Suprised. In the end, Calanthe yelds and lets the two of them be together. The resulting daughter, Ciri, is in turn promised to Geralt through the same Law. The Queen makes it clear she'd rather kill him than let him take the girl away to become a witcher. Despite this Ciri eventually ends up in Geralt's care
  • I Owe You My Life: The Witcher world has a custom called the Law of Suprise. If someone saves another person's life, they may ask for what the rescuee has, but yet is not aware of. If it turns out to be a child, a bond of destiny is formed between the child and the rescuer. This is witchers' favourite recruitment method. Ciri, Geralt's adoptive daughter, was promised to him in this exact way, after he saved her father's life and invoked the Law as per witcher tradition.

For Gender Vocabulary Slip:

  • In Your Name, when Mitsuha is controllling Taki's body for the first time, she accidentally says "atashi" towards Taki's classmate, then tries to correct herself by switching to "watashi", then "boku", and finally "ore", much to his classmates' confusion.

I'm going to add a meme entry for The Loud House:

  • Lacy/Lupa/Liby Loud note

And another entry for The Loud House Non Canon:

  • This picture, where Lincoln, who is now very old, mourns over the death of his wife, Ronnie Anne. Despite the supposedly funny writing on the gravestone, it doesn't lighten the sad mood at all.

For Pokémon

  • Erika, a Kanto's gym leader, that for most of the episode act like a bitch and an unprofessional gym leader. She almost ended Ash's journey to the Pokémon league, refusing his challenge, simply for insulting her perfume passively. Indeed, the episode is considered one of worst of the season.

I wanted to add several points to Calanthe's folder in Witcher character section.

  • Screening the Call: She struggles twice against the Law of Surprise. First she tries to stop Pavetta from marrying Urcheon. Later she threatens Geralt to discourage him from taking Ciri away to become a witcher.

  • Manipulative Bitch: When Urcheon shows up to claim Pavetta's hand in marriage, Calanthe tries to instigate a fight between him and other suitors. When this tactic fails, she tricks Urcheon into revealing his transformed face, in hopes Pavetta will reject him.

  • The Unfettered: She has shades of this. She is ready to use every trick in the book to achieve her goal: a marriage treaty between Cintra and Skellige. She shows no remorse over her lack of honor and dirty tactics. When her manipulations fail, she is ready to simply murder the man standing in the way of her plans and yields only when a better solution is presented to her.
