The Fall and The Durutti Column are in your top five?
Marry me. Please.

*ahem*
My current iTunes line-up isn't entirely representative, given that my music library is spread across several computers; if it were, the presence the Merzbox alone would probably throw this list into utter chaos, not to mention all the other weird stuff I have lurking in my archives (mostly Nurse With Wound LPs, methinks). But as it stands...
- Animal Collective: 264 songs, 31 albums.note
- The Olivia Tremor Control: 218 songs, 19 albums.note

- Starflyer 59: 263 songs, 15:42:24
- Duke Ellington: 190 songs, 13:43:56
- The Beatles: 185 songs, 8:27:13

- Jars of Clay: 129 songs, 8:58:39
- Havalina Rail Co: 108 songs, 6:45:08
If I'm allowed to count Sixteen Horsepower and Woven Hand together, then they total 156 songs, 10:44:52
I didn't write any of that.A post-script: The five artists with the most material in my music library as judged by length are thus:
- The Flaming Lips: 28:28:20.note
- Throbbing Gristle: 23:08:01.note
- The Dead C: 22:31:07.note
- Jackie-O Motherfucker: 22:22:06.note
- Current 93: 20:01:18.note
No question here for me that it's The Beatles. Now, let's see exactly how much...
...1086 songs, totaling to 2 days, 2 hours, 35 minutes, and 44 seconds worth of Beatles music. And that's not even counting any solo stuff. Not too bad I'd say.
(Question: How do you find in iTunes how many songs by each artist you have? Do you have to just select each group of tracks individually to find out? Because I have far too much music to do that.)

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.View -> Show Column Browser -> Check 'Artists'
This gives you a list of artists. Click any artist to display only songs by that artist, and see the number of tracks, total playing time, and harddrive space. For example, if I click Richard Wagner (which is under W - gotta love the 'Sort Artist' tag), I see '52 songs, 18:09:21 total time, 1,80 GB'.
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...I just scrolled through my album grid and looked at how many songs/albums were listed, then clicked to verify hours, but that's because I'm too stupid to do things the easy way...
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception. The Heartless Bastards - 43 songs, 3 hours.
Regina Spektor - 35 songs, 2.2 hours.
54-40 and Electric Six - 22 songs each, 81 and 71 minutes respectively.
Metric - 21 songs, 84 minutes.
Florence & the Machine - 20 songs, 79 minutes.
Sunshine Blind and Throwing Muses - 19 songs each, 87 and 68 minutes respectively.
The Duke Spirit - 18 songs, 69 minutes.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. This gives you a list of artists. Click any artist to display only songs by that artist, and see the number of tracks, total playing time, and harddrive space. For example, if I click Richard Wagner (which is under W - gotta love the 'Sort Artist' tag), I see '52 songs, 18:09:21 total time, 1, 80 GB'.
Well that was how you phrased the question Anyway, no, you can't sort artists by their "size" (alas). I just checked every artist of which I knew I had a lot of music, and wrote them down if I had more than 50 songs by them.
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...Okay, here we go:
- Glee Cast: 135 items, 7.6 hours
- Flight of the Conchords: 84 items, 2.5 hours
- Billy Joel: 82 items, 6.1 hours
- Gorillaz: 66 items, 3.9 hours
- James Taylor: 59 items, 4 hours
- Fall Out Boy: 48 items, 2.7 hours
- The Clash: 39 items, 2.1 hours
- My Chemical Romance: 38 items, 2.3 hours
Christ, I used to love Glee. -embarrassed awkward face- I cut off everything after 30 items, which gave me the weird knowledge that I have 28 songs of Demi Lovato, Elton John, Rancid, and... Hans Zimmer. ??

I should mention I'm not good at phrasing things well enough for anyone but myself to understand.
That's quite a diverse pool of music there
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. The Glee thing is pissing me off way more than it should. Otherwise, I'm proud of it. Another 28-club member: Sharon Jones And The Dap Kings.
I don't quite have everything available here on my laptop, but for convenience's sake:
- Radiohead: 156 songs, 10.2 hours playtime, 8 albums, 4 EPs. (Repeats here and there due to b-sides existing on both EP's and Deluxe Editions)
- Modest Mouse: 103 songs, 7.2 hours playtime, 6 albums, 2 EPs.
- The Smashing Pumpkins: 105 songs, 6.8 hours playtime, 2 albums. (Mellon Collie reissue special edition is BIG)
- Arcade Fire: 37 songs, 2.7 hours playtime, 3 albums.
- The Shins: 44 songs, 2.5 hours playtime, 4 albums.
- Sufjan Stevens: 37 songs, 2.3 hours playtime, 2 albums.
Nothing else is very notable, still building though.

this place needs me hereI actually have a bunch of Glee myself (for shame!) but only because I stole those songs from my friend—I've only ever seen one episode of Glee and I really did not like it
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. Now my Rihanna collection has increased to about 74.
Florence needs to release new music if she wants to catch up, but I still have two RiRi albums to buy.
Not in order:
- Sonic Youth - 101 songs, 8.6 hours
- The Who - 231 songs, 14.3 hours (massive live albums)
- Swans - 121 songs, 11.3 hours
- Common - 59 songs, 4 hours
- Minutemen - 153 songs, 3.9 hours (up the punx)
- King Crimson - 85 songs, 8.1 hours (up the progz)
- Godspeed You! Black Emperor - 22 songs, 6.3 hours (up the post-rox)
- Gil-Scott Heron - 88 songs, 5.7 hours
- Kanye West - 92 songs, 6.2 hours (include Cruel Summer)
- Kyuss - 56 songs, 3.8 hours
- John Coltrane - 77 songs, 11.2 hours (up the jazz?)
- Miles Davis - 60 songs, 10.5 hours
- Ornette Coleman 65 songs, 7.9 hours
Oddly, you just reminded me that I have all of Kanye West's main discography (not counting guest appearances on other people's songs...though I suppose that we could be here all week compiling those).
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.
Simple, a topic about the artists in your library (iTunes/WMP/Winamp/Foobar/whatever) of which you have the most songs, or most hours and minutes of music.
There are currently 20 artists of which I have 50 or more tracks in my library.
