This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

He doesn’t have to be, the quotes just have to illustrate the trope in question. Do they?

They usually have to be the trope. Plus, one of the quotes specify that Thanos just want kill half of the universe. Half of the universe is not a omnicide
Watch me destroying my countryThe Quote subpage is usually a lot more lenient than the main page, though probably only because less people check up on it. That said, Thanos's quote doesn't have anything to do with the trope if you don't know the context of the dialogue so I wouldn't miss it if it were gone.
I think Gamora's line gets a pass (wanting to kill more than the entire population of planet earth counts as Omnicidal Maniac to me), but the actual line from Thanos doesn't say anything useful.

Is this even really a trope?
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. That sounds like a stock phrase, and I'm not really sure what the policy for those are. I know we're not to create more of such pages, but not sure what we've agreed to do with the existing one.
Both quotes do little more than restate the trope name, so I'm fine without either.
Artistic License – Law and Stock Legal Phrases have the same quotation.
Although it's an example of both, it seems a bit more on-point for the latter, so I'd suggest replacing the former instead. (Although I'm open to suggestions on ways to replace either.)
though I agree it’s better for Stock Legal Phrases, we could replace it on that page with Phoenix Wright’s Catchphrase “Objection!”
OH MY GOD; MY PARENTS ARE GARDENIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!Quotes.Mistaken For Index seems more like Poor Communication Kills, to me?

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Thin-Line Animation seems to have a quote issue. On the main page the quote doesn't relate to the topic well and is overly positive, while on its quotes page the one quote there does relate to the topic but is overly-negative. What kind of a quote should it have, if at all?

The Protomen enhanced my life.I am cuting this from Knight of Cerebus. Nothing of this line indicates how Bill is one of them, it says that he is uber evil, but by the time that he said it, he already had messed with the tone of the series by a lot.
In summary, that line is no close to define the trope.
It just says that Uka Uka is dangerous, not that it is gonna change the tone of the story

The B-K quote looks better than nothing, but maybe some of the surrounding dialogue/actions would improve it?

New theme music also a box- "His name is Shawn Mendes, he's just your average teen idol, except one little difference: he plays guitar."
I'm not a fan at all but I think we can find better than a derogatory quote from a negative review.
Much better!
Technically more of a backhanded compliment, but yes; a positive statement about the artist or a famous quote of theirs would be best.

Also, does anyone have anything to say about my suggestion for a new Ant-Man and the Wasp quote (other than reminding me to double-check for the exact wording)?
I'd say the Charles M. Schulz quote is best, the other is rather irrelevant.
The dialogue on Really 700 Years Old isn't bad, but not too representative either. I found one that's bette rand much more concise...
"How old am I? That is a very rude thing to ask a little girl! Which is why I have been answering such questions with two hundred and ninety-nine for a few centuries now."

Staircase Tumble and Mind Your Step both have variations on the same quote. Personally, I think that the quote for the latter should be moved to the former, and keep the latter quote-less.

Big Game has two quotes. Which one do you guys think is more fitting?
This account is dead. I’ve said a lot of dumb things in the past and I wish to forget them. I’m sorry if I’ve ever hurt anyone.By "the other", do you mean the other Peanuts quote, or my suggestion for a new Ant-Man and the Wasp quote? I already posted the latter on its page, when I started doubting that anyone would object.
I was commenting on the Peanuts quote only. The quote for the movie is fine.
The DBZ quote in Can't Catch Up isn't great IMO, since it's really vague and could mean anything. I propose this instead:
, though I'd suggest removing the Physical God pothole.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢The main page quote for Award Snub was added by frequent ban-evader Johnnyfog, would anyone care to chime-in as to which example from the quotes page would make a fitting replacement?

This goes for all the quote pages, right?
Cut all the Infinity War quotes from Omnicidal Maniac. MCU!Thanos isn't that trope
