This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking For An Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

I don't either.
And Inner Monologue Conversation is just incomprehensible; I get that it's from a parody series, but that's not really an excuse when you're using it as a page quote.
How about this one
Turk: [thinking] (Make me a grilled cheese sandwich, woman!) Carla: "Make it yourself!" Turk: [screams]

That seems better.
The current Revealing Hug is just kinda...odd. I'm sure it makes sense in context, but outside it's just this vague threat thing maybe. This is much better:
- "Never trust a hug. It's just a way to hide your face."
- —The Doctor, Doctor Who
I have to agree that gets to the point a little better.
I like the latest two caption suggestions.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDoes this thread also address non-topper quotes?
I ask because Quotes.Peace Through Superior Firepower, about the US nuclear arsenal, has nothing on it that's actually about the US nuclear arsenal or delivery options for same beyond the very first quote.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpI see no issue with using this thread for quotes pages.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell, since there's apparently no opposition (or everyone else just doesn't care ), I think all but the top quote of that page could be nuked with a lossless compression of data, and maybe add above that lone survivor (no, not that one) the official motto, for those who aren't familiar with SAC (especially since it's been renamed for some years now, IIRC).
And on a similar note, Incompetence, Inc. was made No Real Life Examples, Please!, but the quote page has a "Real Life" folder. Looking closer at the entries, some could probably be put in other media categories, but that entire section bugs me as being nothing but complain-y. Am I just being overly sensitive (entirely possible; I know that under the wiki licensing setup I don't own Incompetence, Inc., but having nursed it through YKTTW and keeping up maintenance on it I do kinda feel a bit parental about the trope), or does the quotes page need work?
All your safe space are belong to TrumpCan we change the page quote on The Scottish Trope? Because the Spoiler Policy doesn't seem to be compatible with that particular one. Personally, if we're to abide by the Spoiler Policy I'd like a quote that doesn't directly name Macbeth, such as—
Aahhhhh. Hot potato, off his drawers, Puck will make amends. Owwwwww.
—Mossop and Keanrick, every time Blackadder utters that word.
(It should be noted that proper quotes markup is unavailable in the forums.)

I assume Incompetence, Inc. was made NRLEP because of the "calling real people incompetent" thing, but the quotes page is other people doing it; I don't think the same problem applies.
Switching concerns, the quote for President Buffoon should not be a real person. Really none of them should, but the Nixon and Thatcher quotes seem less Take That!-y
The child is father to the man —OedipusThe Coroner have two page quotes. I'm inclined to keep the first one, since the second one don't make much sense to me. Any other thoughts or arguments in favor of the latter?
I think I prefer the second since the first is repeated in the examples list. I don't find the second particularly hard to make sense of, though that may just be because I've heard or seen the phrase somewhere else before.
Not right away, not right awayIt's not uncommon to find page quotes duplicated in the example lists; there's been at least two occasions I'm aware of where the replacement quote was found by mining the examples. It also helps provide context for what was happening when the quote was said.
I like the first one.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThe page quote for Recursive Precursors is a spoiler for Mass Effect. It's practically It Was His Sled territory these days, as you can barely talk about the second and third games without knowing what this quote spoils, but it's still a huge spoiler that occurs near the end of the game.
I removed Blue Links from the quote, but it would be nice to see an entirely new quote installed instead.
It might be difficult, considering that the trope itself is usually a big Reveal.
Recursive Precursors has the added issue of a spoiler tag on the identity of the individual being quoted.
Another page with multiple quotes: Horror Hunger. The first quote is not really saying anything about the trope, so I'm leaning towards the second one, unless someone knows an even better quote?
Also, still needing more "votes" for The Coroner.
he Withnail & I quote doesn't really apply and the other one doesn't tell you anything.
I'd go with the Dungeons and Dragons one from the Quotes page.
The D&D quotes doesn't actually mention that they crave for human flesh, though, which seems to be a prerequisite for the trope.
Also, there's a random quote in Tandem Parasite that is barely related to the trope at all and doesn't even have a source. I don't have a replacement suggestion, but I'm fine with axing it completely.
I concur with removing the quote from Tandem Parasite.
It's the first line from the song "A Bicycle Built For Two", which doesn't actually feature the trope and from which they've axed the line that's actually about tandem bikes. So yeah, I'd say cut it.
The quote about Cumberbatch on fangirl is pretty long and kinda mean-spirited.
Yeah. Burn that one to ashes.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I agree. Also, does the ridiculous Squee right below it constitute as an "extra quote"?
Ugly Hero, Good-Looking Villain — I don't see how the quote tells you anything about the trope at all
