I read a Yu-Gi-Oh/Mario crossover named Ma-Ri-Oh once. The name alone made it worth it XD Sadly it seems to have been deleted :(

I've started a crossover fic based on The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, starring The Miz as the protagonist.

Judging by the responses thus far of people who actually stop to read it, it's.... actually shaping up to be legitimately Better Than It Sounds.

Have been hit with the idea of a The Gamer, Wearing the Cape, The Reckoners Trilogy crossover/fusion. The Gamer would actually work as a power in the Cape universe. After all, one of the characters is OZMA OF OZ and another is the main character of a in-series detective series. Being able to see stats and level up is actually pretty tame. Overpowered, but tame.

Doing a crossover conspiracy fic that involves GTA V. But I'm keeping it LA to blend in with the other stories. My question is what's a good substitute for the Union Depository building?

I discovered βe Thou For the People via the My Hero Academia fanfics page (it's a crossover with Fullmetal Alchemist (manga/Brotherhood), and despite it basically being mostly a retread of the series' events, it's pretty damn good - the latest chapter is a huge tearjerker, though. Holy shit, Deku, you're self-sacrificing and all, and you did a really good deed, but you better hope Hatsume is as anywhere as good as Winry right now.

On the bright side, that little shit-stain Minetta got the boot early on and was replaced by Shinsou after the sports festival. A lot of people hate the little bastard, so that'll probably be a plus.

This has a new chapter already in AO 3. Would like to get some thoughts/comments on the chapter (2nd).

Alright, I have this idea for a Sonic/Spawn crossover Dark Fic. Basically Shadow becomes a Hellspawn and must serve Malebolgia in order to see Maria again. All while under the guidance of the Violator. Meanwhile, Sonic and his friends try to find out what Shadow is up to with his new powers while Dr. Eggman makes a deal with Malebolgia.

What do you think?

Been trying to rework on the crossover I abandoned a while back since the very silent or confused reception I got for it, and wanted to tackle it on a different angle this time.

As I've gotten this idea that to majority of people, Toons and Anime-characters don't mesh well together if put on the same world - I started to wonder if to use this as a way to set up a tone that deconstructs mass crossovers with Toons and Anime characters being brought to one place to meet and interact - or at least addresses the oddness of it for many fanfic readers.

On my premise this would be seen through a city that originally developed from a marketplace between both sides back to 70s where Toons and Anime-characters sold each other the popular commodities America and Japan had made themselves a phenomenon all around the world - like Disney Resorts, Mc Donalds, KFC and more to the Eastern side in exchange for Japanese electronics such as videocameras, LCD T Vs and videogame consoles.

However, the Toons and Anime aren't exactly used to one another due their vastly differing natures and mannerisms, which had created bit of an unmutual relationship between both sides - though this started to shift back when late-end 90s to 2000s started to come along due increase in popularity and awareness of Anime enough to spread it's influence to Western Animation.

Now my newest issue is that due how I dunno where to start exploring this even deeper, considering the general lack of both mediums meeting in some kind of form and interacting with one another.

The best I could make is that Western Cartoons aren't batted much an eye at unless they're cute and massively marketable - so perhaps Animanga-characters would find most Non-Disney Toons very goofy-looking or even ugly and unsanitary at times. Or something. On that end, due how much Anime had been produced, the amount of dubbed anime would outnumber all cartoons produced today pretty hard, making Toons bit of a minority today.

Anyway, does someone here possibly have anything to point out or note regarding this hardly ever explored interactions?

[up] That's pretty neat! Another thing to consider could be how animesque toons work, and how early anime was inspired by Disney cartoons and the like.

[up][up] My mind goes to Kappa Mikey, which was about a Toon guy going to Japan and starring in an anime series.

Perhaps him going to Japan and playing a role in the show helped bridge the gap a bit?

@lalalei2001

I had taken a long notice to all of this actually because it's been a big basis on how I build the city itself - but wanted to spare the details on the setting and go straight to the problem I'm having at hand.

Anyway - as you said, Toons I think would be interesting because there's not been anymore out there today compared to the 2000s, such as Totally Spies!, Avatar, Teen Titans, etc. Of course this is mainly attribute on the popularity of FLCL back when it came out, on top of growing popularity and awareness to anime in general. But as time would go on, these would go down less.

My theory for this was that due how 2000s Animesque Toons and even regular ones kept on abusing the typical Anime expressions and "mannerisms", the Anime-characters would drop them over time because they felt like being stereotyped basically - hence explaining how we don't see as much expressive "90s' Anime-tics" used anymore in modern anime, aside from some of Studio TRIGGER's productions.)

Doesn't help that some of the anime series and stars in them were americanized in very infamous ways, and it took a while for things to progress away from that - though this improved gradually after proper dubs rolled out between the shift to 2010s onward. (Sadly, some series still suffer from this.)

With this, I think Animesque characters are bit of a mixed bag, because it's like watching an American pretending to be a Japanese - except they can't do too much more than that. However, in the anime-side, there's also some Half-American or even fully American people that also don't act much more than just stereotypical Americans according to minds of Japanese - so perhaps mutuality could be found between both sides in some way.

On the Anime being inspired by Disney, it's actually been a big inspiration to how I build the setting. It primarily shot off from seeing this picture and using it as a starting point to the history behind the city. note

When added to how Disney's still possibly the biggest thing loved from America in Japan, it makes a lot of sense they'd have big preferential treatment on characters from that side - though I think this'd go more to the "older" Anime-characters, I think. On that end, Toons would note that Anime-characters use euphenisms and symbols as to convey emotions like their "ancestors" did.

@Crossover Enthusiast9th

I actually thought of Kappa Mikey as well, but I think watching the show, it seems anything but. In fact, I think it would have severed the gaps between both sides even more due how just grossly Japan was misinterpreted in eyes of Anime-characters who might have come across the show, since you could quite feel that the writers didn't just bother doing the research, compared to later that'd shows come later giving much better to homages Anime-related tropes or popular shows.

However, I liked the vibe of how there was a single Toon guy trying to live among Anime-characters, and might complement well the above-mentioned thought on how Toons might be bit of a minority today compared to Anime-characters since drastic increase of anime shows around 2010s. Since there's been Toons that have grown much better with Anime-related media due growing technology and information flood, they are more understanding of Anime-characters and get little better along with them compared to earlier decades of Toons.

However, I feel that Anime-side's bit still on the dark on Toons due Japan's high fascination on American culture which sadly doesn't bother batting an eye on the Western Cartoons themselves much aside from Tom&Jerry - on the flipside, some of the cartoons from the last years have had been more accessible to be enjoyed on deeper level than before and even grown some fanbases in Japan for same reasons as ones did in the West - mainly seems to do with character depth or better widget humor on top of the "cute" character designs.

Hope double posts are okay here, I guess?

Another idea which I think might be much easier to manage than other crossover concepts I have had so far - basically a MyHeroAcademia-AU for most of the classic high school anime out there 2010s and 2000s, making characters from those have Quirks this time and put some of them to the same class.

I kinda have some idea what I might go for with this crossover concept in means of plot so far, but I'm not exactly sure what all are considered most well-known and popular of the all the school anime fro 2000s and 2010s, both Slice of Life/Cute Girls Doing Cute Things-kind and romcoms - maybe people here could throw suggestions of what series they could think might work in my AU or give a quick rundown as to help me out confirm some?

One rule I made is that the characters from school anime that belong to supernatural genre (like Haruhi Suzumiya or Medaka Box) are considered more higher-up kind of characters reminiscent of Pro Heroes or even Villains - while main cast that'd comprise the class up would mainly consist of ordinary human students that would get more basic-ish quirks in my AU. Though I wanna add in possible quirkier or comedically powered characters in to make the class more colorfu l- characters like Nano Shinonome and Hayate Ayasaki sprung to mind.

On that end, I wanna keep the cast easy to identify their time period from, so if characters from 90s to 80s would pop up, they'd be more older veteran Heroes, political or societal authorities or teachers, etc.

But yeah, I think I just wanna reach on fans out there for this idea and what series might work well in it. Maybe depending on that I might not stick too much on that "ordinary chars only"-rule for the main class and possible main protagonists I'd pick from them.

EDIT: Oh yeah, gonna comprise the class of 20 characters, much like BNHA - though IDK if I'd concentrate of all of them, or group them into 4s, making 5 teams basically.

Doing a crossover with my conspiracy story having some stuff taken from Battlefield 3. Thing is since it's based on real world stuff, which means that I need to remake the PLR into a militia group sent to battle with ISIL before the big one hits western Iran, including parts of Tehran.

I'm looking for some good Mario and Sonic crossovers. Preferably in the style of the Paper Mario or Mario and Luigi RP Gs.

So, I thought I was done with this guy, but once again, I'm making two final changes:

I'd previously decided on Yamcha and Alucard for two slots, but after a long time of not being totally sold on them, I finally thought of two better choices:

Zelgadis Greysword and Suiryu (from the Murata re-draw).

...Now, if only I could actually get started on this thing.
