    Pre-release theories
In the reboot, Yakko and Wakko will be less girl-crazy, while Hello Nurse and Minerva Mink will either be cut or retooled to be less sexualized.
Because of certain recent standards in the entertainment industry.
  • Alternatively, these standards will get mercilessly mocked.
  • Possibly Jossed; Rob Paulsen has confirmed that the show will keep its adult humour.
  • Now partially confirmed, at least in the first season: Minerva Mink appears only in episode five, in a non-speaking role, and Hello Nurse has joined Doctors Without Borders.

(Source)

Things the reboot will potentially parody:

One episode of the reboot will have Pinky and the Brain try to take over the world with internet memes.
Brain will notice how popular internet memes are and will make himself a meme.
  • As evidenced by the episode description of "Of Mice and Memes", I'd say this is just about confirmed.

One episode of the reboot will have Slappy struggle with being in the digital age.
She will complain how nothing is old fashioned anymore and that people are always having their faces stuck on their tablets and smartphones. She will also complain about how all animated movies in recent years are in CGI.
  • Not to mention how the internet is seemingly destroying the English language (e.g. "bae" instead of "babe", misuse of "fail" over "failure").

The reboot will air on channels other than Hulu outside of the USA.
Because Hulu originals adhere to No Export for You, piracy would be the only other option for non-American fans to see it.
  • Not true. The show has aired on Teletoon, a Canadian animation station, as well as having later releases on DVD, as well as digital platforms such as iTunes and Amazon Video.

The reboot will be a lot more raunchy than the original.
Since the reboot will air on Hulu, which is an internet streaming service, the FCC won't have any power over the series. This means they can do whatever the hell they want, be as raunchy and violent as they want, and go after whoever they want.

The reboot will poke fun at Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain
Due the meta nature of Animaniacs, it's pretty much inevitable that there will be a jab or two directed at the ill-fated series.

The teaser trailer for the reboot will parody typical reboot cliches.
Yakko will appear on screen, looking badly animated in CGI or Flash, complete with a voice that sounds way off. As he talks to the viewers making bad jokes, an anvil falls on him. Then the real Yakko (hand drawn/digitally inked complete with Rob Paulsen voicing him), will come on-screen and tell the viewers "What? You didn't think we'd come back like THAT, did ya?" All of this depends on whether or not Rob Paulsen officially returns for the series.
  • Paulsen will indeed be voicing Yakko and Pinky. It was confirmed in October 2019.
  • Semi-confirmed. The first trailer (beyond the sneak peek parodying Jurassic Park) does take some time poking fun at reboots, but rather than mocking their clichés it sees the Warner Brothers dissing reboots and then getting a huge check for their own reboot.

One final Take That! to the former WB Network will also be present.
The Warners will comment about how poorly the WB Network treated their show and Pinky & the Brain, and will celebrate its demise. Maybe even a couple of insults directed at Jamie Kellner himself.

Tiny Toon Adventures characters will make cameos in the reboot like in the original series.
One will involve Buster and Babs show up wondering when their reboot will be made.
  • Semi-confirmed. Buster and Babs make a cameo in ""Suffragate City", but have no lines.

Similar to what DuckTales (2017) seems to be doing with shows from The Disney Afternoon, the Animaniacs reboot will bring back classic Warner Bros. content
Going beyond Tiny Toon Adventures, they could also reintegrate Freakazoid!, another show a lot of people want to see come back.

The series will open with how the Warners ended up locked back in the tower — and how they escaped after 20 years.
Since it has been confirmed that this will be a revival of the original series rather than a full reboot, with the Warners being perfectly aware that they've been locked away since the late 90s. The show will open with the cancellation of the original, explain what happened to get them locked away again, and will open with the current CEO finding out that they've, once again, escaped. This will be either LONG planned, or a complete accident — with a couple of bumbling workers accidentally unleashing them while, say, having the tower exterior cleaned.
  • The episode description for the pilot seems to imply the opposite, actually. Namely, the Warners coming back to the water tower and Warner movie lot after so many years.

There will be a musical number in the first episode about having a reboot.
  • Confirmed.

How the cast has changed since the 1990s.
  • The Warners won't be any different at all, though they will express disgust with modern culture such as selfies, duck-lips, and political-correctness.
  • Pinky and the Brain will be no different, either, still trying to take over the world; one segment will have the Brain trying to take over the world using social media.
  • Slappy is still Slappy, but Skippy has long since grown up and is ready to help his aunt Slappy come to terms with the modern world; of course, Slappy will just use explosives like always.
  • Hello Nurse will have been fired since she got old and lost her looks and, realizing they only kept her around as eye candy, becomes a walking, talking Take That! towards Feminazis.
  • The Goodfeathers have fallen on hard times ever since the crackdown against organized crime.
  • Mindy has grown up, but is still mentally-disabled and needs Buttons Jr. to watch her, and it still never goes well.
    • Conversely, Mindy is 25 now and a fairly well-adjusted college student, but Button's great-great-great grandson is still obliged to watch out for her (fetching her forgotten textbook, protecting her from an un-"woke", non-#MeToo compliant boor she's dating), and occasionally enjoys his own side adventures a la Perry the Platypus (including, perhaps, a run-in with Starbox's people). She's still quite unaware of his activities, and likes to calls Buttons IV a "silly puppy" in a small baby-like voice, when no one is looking.
  • Runt finally figured out Rita is a cat, but he doesn't care.
  • Katie Ka-Boom was committed to a psych ward, where it was discovered her monstrous side is a Jekyll and Hyde-type split personality.
  • Chicken Boo is now a chicken rights' advocate who has had absolutely no luck due to the Trump administration.
  • Skullhead is still demonstrating good and bad ideas. He also acts out those "How To..." and "Top Ten Reasons Why..." joke e-mails we all get in our Inbox, with hilarious results.
  • Flavio and Marita are still being trailed by Gena Embryo.
  • The Mime is still getting injured.
  • Colin is all grown up, and so is Randy Beaman; doesn't mean Randy isn't still getting into "Shaggy Dog" Stories.
    • In a weekly podcast called "Tales of Randy Beaman". Beaman eventually sues him for using his name without permission.
  • Minerva Mink, after being fired for inflaming Moral Guardians, sued Kids' WB for gender profiling, but Plotz bribed the jury because he didn't want to deal with the onslaught of angry phonecalls from parents anymore; Minerva has been spending years trying to fight societal norms about appearances, but unfortunately for her, Keeping Up with the Kardashians happened and set her efforts back; as of 2020, she is still fighting for her right to be herself without being targeted by Feminazis like Hello Nurse.
  • Plotz is long-dead and has been replaced by a CEO who grew up watching the original Animaniacs episodes, so she releases the Warners from the water tower over Scratchansniff's objections; she ends up enjoying the Warners' antics.
  • Baloney, after his show ended, has been forced to make ends meet in a deli. He now regales visitors with fun songs and tales of his show. He’s also growing feathers now.

There will be a new song about dumb internet challenges (eating Tide pods, the cinnamon challenge, etc.)

There will be a special crossover episode known as "Animaniacs Go!"
Just like the title suggests, it will involve the Warner siblings crossing paths with the company's current Cash-Cow Franchise; Teen Titans Go!. The two will compete for ratings, though the Titans (particularly Robin) are so much more envious about it and continuously try to get the Warners into trouble, only to be duped in hilarious ways. However, Starfire and Dot get along, both exchanging comments on these shenanigans.

A minor plotline will involve the Warners reuniting the cast of the original series
Possibly as a subtle Myth Arc throughout the two planned seasons.
  • The showrunners and voice actors have said that if the reboot gets renewed for more seasons, they will attempt to bring back the other supporting characters (including Hello Nurse, Minerva Mink, the Goodfeathers, Slappy & Skippy, Mindy & Buttons, Rita & Runt, etc.).

Dot will have a new celebrity crush after she learns about what Mel Gibson has been up to.
  • Maybe Ryan Reynolds would be a good replacement?
    • It seems Dot's new celebrity crush is a No Celebrities Were Harmed version of Tucker Carlson named Tuck Buckerson, as she's flirting with him in two different episodes.

    Post-release theories
Thaddeus Plotz is the Greater-Scope Villain
Note how he didn't appear with the rest of the cast in episode 5. I think Thaddeus is a bigger threat than Chicken Boo, and turned to true evil after Nora Rita Norita replaced him as the CEO of WB. He is planning to destroy Warner Brothers and kill all their properties (including the Animaniacs gang). The Animaniacs cast must team up with the Justice League, Sam and Frodo, Harry Potter and his comrades, the Looney Tunes, the Tiny Toons, Tom and Jerry, Freakazoid, the Central Perk gang, the Mystery Inc gang, the Big Bang Theory gang, the Loser Club, the Wizard of Oz gang, the rest of the Hanna-Barbera characters, Beetlejuice, Willy Wonka, Samurai Jack, Team RWBY, and more to defeat Thaddeus once and for all.
  • Dr. Scratchansniff, in keeping with how he Took A Level In Jerk Ass, will probably join forces with Plotz.
    • Or Tom Ruegger will get his wish and Hello Nurse will become the new studio CEO, replacing Nora Rita Norita, giving Norita Laser-Guided Karma for her Female Misogynist attitude. And Norita, wanting revenge on Hello Nurse, will join forces with Plotz.
    • Chicken Boo, Elmyra and Pepé Le Pew will both team up with Plotz for reasons.
    • Also the battle with Plotz will be a parody of the final battle in Avengers: Endgame

The rest of the Animaniacs cast will be featured and voiced if the reboot is going swimmingly.
It could happen gradually (just as how Wabbit: A Looney Tunes Production gradually added more of the classic Looney Tunes regulars in later episodes); a few of them may appear in Season 2 in order to create more variety apart from the Warners and Pinky & the Brain segments, then even more will follow in potential future seasons.
  • Hello Nurse was given a few mentions and references throughout Season 1, having joined Doctors Without Borders according to Scratchansniff. If she does show up, she will be reinvented, focusing more on her Action Girl traits, perhaps even Took a Level in Badass. The catchphrase always said towards her will be said differently - a character calls for medical help and goes "Hello, nurse?" - or she humorously cuts them off if it's about to be said in the usual manner. And the other characters will start referring to her by her real name, Heloise Nerz.
  • Slappy Squirrel could be another great forerunner; a skit will involve her struggling to use modern technology and longer being allowed to use explosives (like how Elmer Fudd can no longer use guns), much to her ire.
  • The Goodfeathers, being GoodFellas parodies, would seem out-of-place and dated in today's culture. But this could allow for some great Lampshade Hanging, perhaps having them go up against modern crime groups. They also have a new recruit: the pigeon from The Cutening.
  • The Buttons and Mindy segments will have more Throw the Dog a Bone moments for Buttons. It will be less mean-spirited than the originals and Buttons will receive more happy endings for his efforts in protecting Mindy instead of just being the Badly Battered Babysitter who is faulted for the slightest missteps, similar to what is seemingly being planned for Dr. Scratchensniff. Plus continuing from Wakko's Wish, Mindy will call her parents "Mom" and "Dad".

Julia will become the reboot's answer to Snowball the Hamster
That is, she will be the Brain's archnemesis...but instead of opposing him because she wants to launch world-domination schemes of her own, she will do it because she has first-hand experience of being controlled by him and wants to protect humanity.

If the rest of the cast does come back, they won't be voiced by their original actors.
Let's face it: Since none of the original writers returned, Sherri Stoner will most likely refuse to voice Slappy. Also, Nate Ruegger, the original voice of Skippy, is far too grown up to play him. Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Mindy, is too busy with The Simpsons. Bernadette Peters is definitely too expensive to return to Rita. Maybe Tom Bodett could return to narrate "Mime Time" and "Good Idea/Bad Idea", but who knows? John Mariano, voice of Bobby, has also expressed interest in returning and lamented how the Goodfeathers were “perched” in the new show on his Facebook.
  • Chick Venerra, the voice of Pesto and the Godpigeon, sadly passed away in mid-2021. So those two will certainly need a new voice actor should the Goodfeathers play a part in the reboot.
  • Jossed when Sherri Stoner returned to play Slappy in Season 3.

One episode will involve an Internet Troll
Bonus points if it's the same one from the intro. Throughout the episode, he will criticize the reboot and how it fails to hold up to the original show as the Warners try to convince him otherwise by countering his claims. By the end of it, the troll will turn out to be a big Jerkass Woobie whose real reason for scorning the reboot is because the original creator and writers have been left out. Unable to counter this argument, the Warners become legitimately upset, when a bright light appears... a big Author's Saving Throw in the form of some of the original writers and/or even Tom Ruegger himself making a big return. Overall this will be a season finale Deconstruction episode.

If Slappy returns...
...Her dynamic will be shaken up somewhat. Skippy will now be an adult with a son of his own, who he entrusts Slappy to babysit for him while he's out. Skippy's son, in contrast to his father, will be more of a Bratty Half-Pint who hopes to become a great Screwball Squirrel archetype like his Great Aunt Slappy, and end up biting off more than he can chew by picking fights with other antagonists, forcing Slappy to bail him out of trouble...so she can teach him how to properly troll his enemies.
  • We've seen Skippy in "Good Warner Hunting", looking exactly like he did in the 90s. So it's safe to assume that part is jossed.
    • Of course, earlier in that same sketch, Skippy was also shown to have his head mounted on the wall, only to show up fine and dandy at the aforementioned ending, so it's not like the writers are above throwing continuity to the wind in favor of whatever's funniest.
    • It could turn out that this was Skippy Jr. the entire time, bearing a Strong Family Resemblance to his father as a kid. Skippy himself will appropriately be voiced by the now grown Nate Ruegger.
    • Jossed. Slappy's return was a cameo, and Skippy was neither shown nor mentioned.

Plotz actually killed the Warners.
After having to deal with them for well over 50(?) years, he killed them off shortly after the original show's final episode; the movie Wakko's Wish had already been completed before then. Whether Ralph was involved or not I can't say right now. Them in the graves in the intro is to show that they've been killed and are resting in peace. The Jurassic Park bit that starts the reboot explains how they could come back; Spielberg cloned them, which also explains why they return to their Water Tower in the first real segment, instead of breaking out of it.
  • Plotz was later found out, which lead to him being fired from Warner Bros. and incarcerated for his crime. This of course will tie in to the theory of him being the Greater-Scope Villain.
  • He killed them using the Dip.

The first segment of Season 2 will feature the rest of the original cast's proper return.
  • And it'll probably be spent beating up Chicken Boo.

The theme song will largely revert back to its original lyrics and even more closely resemble the original show's opening theme after Season 2.
  • With the likelihood of the other original supporting characters returning in future seasons, it would make sense to bring back the other lyrics mentioning the other characters.
    • Also with the rest of the original cast returning, the line after "Wakko packs away the snacks" will become "Our old friends have made comebacks" as the camera pans out to show the Warners and the returning characters together.
    • As another Author's Saving Throw, "Dot has wit" will be changed back to "Dot is cute" and "You should see our new contracts" will be changed back to "We have pay or play contracts". Scratchandsniff could also be added back in "So just sit back and relax, you'll laugh til' you collapse" instead of Ralph, since he was already introduced in the season finale.
    • When the characters sing "We're animany, totally insaney", all the old and new series regulars (Yakko, Wakko, Dot, Dr. Scratchansniff, Hello Nurse, Ralph, Thaddeus Plotz, Nora Rita Norita, Ms. Flamiel, Mr. Director, Pinky, Brain, Bobby, Pesto, Squit, the Godpigeon, the Girlfeathers, Slappy, Skippy, Walter Wolf, Sid Squid, Beany Bison, Stinkbomb D. Bassethound, Mindy, Buttons, Rita, Runt, Minerva Mink, Newt, Flavio, Marita, Gina Embryo, Katie Ka-Boom and her family, Mr. Skullhead, Colin, the Mime, the Flame, Charlton Woodchuck, Baby Bluebird, Starbox, Cindy and the Gnome) will be seen together singing the lyric like in the original show.

If Minerva Mink ends up returning, her segments won't be as raunchy this time around.
  • This show gets away with a lot of things, but it still won't get away with everything. So it's likely Minerva's Ms. Fanservice role will be toned down. Not absolutely depleted (it was the main point of her character after all), but not as prominent either.
    • They might also make her personality more goofy and lovable, similar to Lola Bunny in The Looney Tunes Show.
    • This probably depends a lot on what the culture at WB looks like once all the studio shakeups are done. Warner Bros Animation itself as it has been probably doesn't have a problem with them, they use Red Hot Riding Hood plenty. If the people that want present day WB looking more like 90s Turner, they'll probably be fine if maybe a little tweaked. Should WB go more (insert your word for those people here) style thinking they may be left behind outside of small cameos or namedrops. We aren't going to know for sure until that culture is set in full and Production Lead Time catches up.

Future intro gags

Pinky and the Brain will, once again, spin-off into their own show
Expect that to be announced around the same time as season 3. (Of course, assuming Animaniacs does get to season 3.) Like in the original, they'll get an extended intro song, but with different lyrics in the second and third stanzas.

Chicken Boo was only the first example. What's next?
  • Katie Ka-Boom will finally face the consequences of her destructive rage and her family forces her to seek anger management counseling with Dr. Scratchensniff, at which point the Warners show up complicate matters for them both.
  • The Hip Hippos are labelled as "unhip" by a Hipster and try to follow his trendy lifestyle. They eventually end up in a zoo enclosure as the hipster is revealed to be Gina Embryo in disguise, finally one-upping the hippos in this master ploy to capture/protect them.
  • Even Mindy's parents could be called out for their Parental Neglect/Obliviousness and treatment of Buttons.

There will be an updated version of The Presidents Song
Parts of the existing song will be rewritten and shortened to include the presidents who came after Bill Clinton, leading up to Joe Biden.

Wellseley Wild will be fired after Season 2 and Tom Ruegger will return as showrunner
  • Or at least Tom Rugger, along with some of the original writers, will join in the production.

There will be a Mythology Gag with the original series' intro.
Maybe with a character singing the original lyrics, or even a fully reanimated version of the original intro, which could also be the second cameo of the removed characters.

Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain was a nightmare that Brain had
  • The Elmyra spinoff of the original show might not be canon, but an upcoming episode could have Pinky waking up Brain, who was screaming in his sleep. Brain tells Pinky that in his horrifying dream Acme Labs blew up and the two of them wound up as pets belonging to a stupid, annoying girl. Pinky retorts by telling Brain that this is the worst idea he's ever come up with.

The post-credits water tower gags will return
If they're planning to bring back more of the other characters as implied by Word of God, then surely one of the most popular running gags of the original show could also come back.

A future episode will mock Pepe Le Pew
As if being cut from Space Jam: A New Legacy wasn't bad enough, Surprisingly Realistic Outcome happens when several toon actors (including Penelope Pussycat, Minerva Mink and Sylvester) open up about being sexually harassed by the skunk. Pepe is then shown in a jail cell along with Elmyra and Chicken Boo, other toons who were excluded from new installments of Warner Bros. productions.
  • This lead to them teaming up and decided to plot revenge on all Warner Bros. They will also join forces with Mr Plotz
    • Confirmed and jossesd in "Yakko Amakko", as Pepe Le Pew made a surprise appearance, but only for a cameo just to be erased.

Should they appear, Joe Biden will be a Cloudcuckoolander and Kamala Harris as his Cloudcuckoolander's Minder.

Dr. Scratchansniff got a nose job over the years
An in-universe explanation as to why his nose looks different than it in the 90s.

If Wilford B. Wolf returns alongside Minerva, the new voice actor will step in place of the deceased Peter Scolari.
The contestants for Wilford are...
  • Jeff Bennet
  • Jim Ward
  • Brian Tyree Henry
  • Chris Evans
Any of them would be his new voice since the passing of Peter Scolari.

If Minerva Mink doesn't make a full return in any future seasons, then they will have to create a new character to replace her.
That way it would help avoid any backslashes (and lawsuits) from angry parents.

If Minerva Mink gets spin-off into a show of her own, her series will take place by the following.
  • The series would be rated TV-14 Or TV-MA due to her sexual appearance.

  • Wilford B. Wolf will be her husband, and in his hunk form permanently.

  • Minerva and Wilford will have children of their own.

  • Newt would serve as the main antagonist of the show.

  • Trudy, Minerva's best friend will make an appearance, along with her cousin.

  • Other mink Characters from the Animaniacs comics would serve as secondary, or recurring characters.

  • There would be a lot of sexual content.

The reason Slappy and Skippy are the same as they were in the original show is because of the fanbase they got because of their original segments.
The Tiny Toon Adventures episode "Fields of Honey" establishes that a toon's youth is retained by the people who enjoy them and that forgotten toons will age until they fade away into obscurity. Because of all the people who thought their segments were the best part of the original show, Slappy and Skippy were lucky enough to stay the same throughout the 22-year gap.

A Slappy Squirrel spinoff will be greenlit to make up for her short screentime.

"Good Warner Hunting" theories (spoilers ahead)

Chicken Boo will return...
Keeping with his Adaptational Villainy, he will continue trying to take over the show using elaborate disguises. He could form a Big Bad Ensemble of other characters just like him - including The Great Gazoo, the Loonatics, and the Trope Namer himself, Scrappy Doo.
  • Alternatively, he will show up in non-villainous roles as well in disguise when the viewer least expects it, similar to Egwin periodically popping-up in Pinky and the Brain segments.
  • He will also go beyond human disguises and also disguise himself as other animals/objects. I can already imagine him impersonating Foghorn Leghorn.

The other characters were Playing Possum
As each of them was plucked off by Walter Grub/Chicken Boo, they played a collective joke on him by pretending to be dead whenever he was around, only becoming active when he was gone, all biding their time until the opportunity was right to exact revenge. It's not too outlandish considering the Toon Physics involved in the show.

If either Tom Ruegger or Sherri Stoner return to work on the reboot, then the events of "Good Warner Hunting" will be subject to Canon Discontinuity.
  • As mentioned on the Trivia page, both Ruegger and Stoner hated the fact that the original show's characters were shown to have been hunted down and mounted by Chicken Boo in the aforementioned episode, with this being the reboot's explanation for why they've been absent from the reboot despite the fact that the episode's ending reveals that the other characters aren't dead. Naturally, if either one of them manages to join the team working on the reboot in the later seasons, they would most likely approach this episode the same way they would approach Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain: complete and utter removal from the continuity of the series, most likely coupled with their own explanation on why the characters from the old series haven't had any significant appearances in the reboot up to that point. Of course, this would also result in any plans the current staff of the reboot have regarding Chicken Boo going the Aborted Arc route, so it's unlikely that they'll be able to completely disregard the events of the episode, but they will almost certainly make sure that the part about Chicken Boo successfully hunting down the other characters never happened.
  • Confirmed. Slappy makes her grand return in the final season, but she's revealed to be retired to Pensacola and doesn't seem to mention the events of "Good Warner Hunting". So either it was subject to Canon Discontinuity or Chicken Boo was taken care of offscreen before everyone went their separate ways.

Pinky and The Brain saw Walter Grubb coming, and outsmarted him
Warning: Major spoilers of episode 5 "Good Warner Hunting".

In Good Warner Hunting" we learn that Chicken Boo, disguised as Walter Grubb, has been hunting down Animaniacs characters. But for some reason, doesn't go after Pinky and the Brain, despite them being the second popular characters on the show. However. If you look carefully, you can see similar-looking mouse characters on his wall. My guess is that these are decoys that Pinky and The Brain used to trick Grubb (Boo) into thinking he's captured them.

"Good Warner Hunting" had an alternative ending where Walter Grubb would have been revealed to be Katie Kaboom in disguise instead of Chicken Boo

Both Katie Kaboom and Chicken Boo are infamous for being the unpopular with fans. Even Yakko insists Boo is the least popular, Katie seems to be the real most hated character in the show. It's possible the writers weren't sure who was less popular, so they wrote "Good Warner Hunting" with two possible endings, the ending we got now and an alternative one where Katie Kaboom, after being told she can't be in the reboot, would be the one to burst out of the costume in one of her monster forms.

This could also explain why we don't see Katie in Grubb's trophy collection. The background for that episode could have been designed before which ending was decided, so the artists had to leave out both Katie and Chicken Boo to take both possibilities into consideration. It could also explain why Grubb had tiny feet despite Chicken Boo having big chicken feet, because they could have been Katie's tiny girl feet. Of course, Grubb has a big butt, something Katie doesn't have but Chicken Boo does.

  • The reason Chicken Boo was ultimately chosen could be because he is known for wearing human disguises - the Walter Grub costume seems like a massive step up from his Paper Thin Disguises in the original show - and so he fit the role better. You could say he say he was more suited for the job!
  • Also, if Katie Kaboom had been picked, the show would have invoked her Rule of Three angry statement. Walter Grubb would say "If I can't be in the reboot, nobody can!". He would them say it again but with an angrier voice and his eyes would start glowing. The third time Katie would say the line in her demonic voice whilst tearing off the costume.
    • There's also a third possibility: Miles Standish could have been Walter Grubb! He's pretty close in size and hunting for trophies definitely sounds like something up his alley. That's why he is seen amongst the other characters in the final version of the episode.

Dr. Scratchansniff was captured by Walter Grubb
In "Good Warner Hunting" during the part where Grubb says "This will be your new home" there is a wide shot showing a good chunk of all the characters Grubb was collected. If you look on the top left corner of the wall, you can see what looks like a large human foot mounted on the wall. what is this is Dr. Scratchansniff's foot? He does have the most barefoot shots of all the human characters, the original opening even has his feet being tickled by the Warners.

  • Of Course, he doesn't join the mob of angry toons chasing after Chicken Boo, because he would rather plot his revenge on the Warners, which he did in episode 13 of the reboot.

Hello Nurse was captured by Walter Grubb
Although unlike the Dr. Scratchensniff theory above, there is nothing to back this up as this troper could find any trophies resembling Hello Nurse or any part of her body. But the trophy could have been off-screen. After all, this troper couldn't find any trophies that look like Katie Kaboom, yet we know she was captured.

     Season 2

The outro will recieve an upgrade featuring The Warners watching the sunset
The first outro was beautiful, but the new outro for Season 2 will feature the Warners sitting on the roof of their tower as they watch the horizon turn from dusk to night time. The sequence will also be animated, which includes the Warners pointing up at the sky and Yakko putting his arms around his siblings.
  • Jossed: The beautiful timelapse outro remains the same, but at least it will tug on heartstring for Nostalgic fans.

The Warners will revisit footage from either their childhood or clips from the original series
One of the episodes in the upcoming season will have the Warners revisit old footage. It can possibly either be home movies from their childhood or old clips from the original show. Either way, it will a show how far the Warners have come.
  • Jossed: The Warners watch a PSA starring themselves and Dot yells at her brothers for not being a part of the solution.

Episode 12 will end with a special credit sequence about Yakko, Wakko, and Dot
Given the fact that episode 12 will end with the Warners revisiting old footage, depending on how it ends, the credit sequence will have a photo booth montage of The Warners, from baby pictures, the 90's series, to the present day.
  • Jossed: Who's up for another beautiful timelapse sequence of the Warner Bros. Studio?

Yakko's fear will be brought up again
We would seriously love an episode in one of the episodes in season 2 where Yakko talks about his fear with a heart-to-heart with Wakko and Dot as a sibling sentimental moment.

The girl whose sweet 16th the Warners ruin is the CEO's daughter
She is pictured next to Nora Rita Norita in the thumbnail for "My Super Sour 16th", and she bears more than a passing resemblance.
  • Confirmed.

The season will end on a cliffhanger
Well, this usually never happens to the Warners...
  • CONFIRMED. The season finale ends with Ralph becoming the new CEO of Warner Bros, with Yakko, Wakko, and Dot feeling troubled about their sudden turning point in their already intense new life.

     Season 3
Season 3 will continue immediately after "23 & WB"
Believe it. Season 2 left the audience's mouths hanging open. We need to know what will happen to the Warners next year.

  • Confirmed.

The 10-episode season will focus the Warners going on an adventure to solve the mystery about themselves
This will be the first time Animaniacs picked up a story-arc since, "Hooray For North Hollywood" and "Wakko's Wish".
  • The story arc can follow the Warners on a journey to various locations, outside of the studio, as they try to learn more about their family tree, and the subplot will have, as always, Pinky and The Brain trying and failing to take over the world, as well as Ralph getting used to being the CEO, and Nora planning her revenge against the Warners.
  • Jossed. Apart from "Season 3 and WB," all of the episodes are self-contained.

Yakko will have the last line of the season, completing the sibling cycle
Previously, Dot had the last line in the first seasonnote , and Wakko had the last line of the second seasonnote . This means that Yakko will have a chance to have the season's last line.
  • Or better, all three siblings would have the last line!
  • Jossed. No one has the last line, since all of the characters died at the end of the show.

Nora Rita Norita will be the Arc Villain
After its discovered that the Warners are related to Ralph, he became the new CEO in "23 and WB". Norita will seek revenge on the company and will form a Big Bad Duumvirate with Thaddeus Plotz (mentioned in the post-release theories folder), Chicken Boo, Elmyra, and Pepe. Basically like the theory that Norita will seek revenge after Hello Nurse becomes CEO, but with Ralph instead of Hello Nurse..
  • Hello Nurse could still return and become the new CEO, resulting in Norita wanting revenge on both Nurse and Ralph.
  • Except that the Warners aren't related to Ralph - Nora is. Her own grandmother chose Ralph to be the new heir instead of her, which will make the whole thing all the more personal.
  • Jossed. Nora only serves as the villain in "Season 3 and WB."

The Warners would have an Adaptational Personality Change
Depending on how the story goes, the Warners, having already been going through tense relevations, would go from zany goofballs to becoming serious badass characters, whereas, the Warners would have to fight against Nora and have to throw away their zany personality to reclaim their home.
  • Jossed.

Either this season or the next will reference Squid Game
Depending on how far Season 3 was in production when that series premiered. The skit will involve the Warners being contestants in a similar Deadly Game, where they repeatedly outwit the Killer Game Master, who eventually turns out to be Sid the Squid. Then in an even bigger twist, the masked guards reveal themselves as none other than Slappy and Skippy, leading Sid to be tormented in his own game while they and the Warners look on from behind the scenes. Eventually at the end of the skit, Slappy and Skippy decide to side with the Warners and help them solve the mystery.

Ralph, as the new CEO, will end up being the one responsible for bringing the rest of the original show's characters back.
He will come up with the idea of rehiring all those characters to come back.
  • And it will be revealed that all those characters were previously fired by Nora Rita Norita.
  • Jossed.
Hello Nurse will return as an assistant to Ralph.
Hello Nurse could have a character arc where she returns to serve as a Hypercompetent Sidekick to Ralph (creating a dynamic similar to that of the Mayor & Ms. Bellum in The Powerpuff Girls) before eventually becoming CEO.
  • And Nora Rita Norita will be demoted to security guard and start plotting evil schemes to try to get rid of them both.
  • Half-confirmed, half-tossed. Hello Nurse doesn't return, but Nora does become a security guard briefly.

Ralph will turn out to be surprisingly competent as the CEO and done a better job than Thaddeus and Nora Rita Norita.
Nora would try to kill the Warners out of revenge
Darker than Wakko's Wish, and worse...this may not be a Disney Death kind.
  • Confirmed in "Season 3 and WB."
Thaddeus Plotz will return as CEO.
He'll see how much of a mess has been made since Ralph became CEO, and will come out of retirement. And since he made a cameo in "Wakkiver Twist" as the judge, it isn't unlikely that he could come back again.
  • Jossed.

Nora Rita Norita will reclaim her place as CEO.
Face it, Ralph would never make a good CEO.
  • Confirmed.

Season 3 will be the final season
Three seasons is probably enough and we really don't want to see our beloved characters Jump the Shark or facing Seasonal Rot again, just like the original series.

  • CONFIRMED: This tweet from the show's Twitter page announced that it's third season will be the last.

If season 3 is the final season, Nora will be arrested
  • Nora would be arrested for attempting to overthrow Ralph as CEO as well as trying to kill the Warners for revenge.

If season 3 is the final season, the ending will be a major turning point for Yakko, Wakko and Dot.
After reclaiming their water tower, the Warners feel that they don't fit in the studio anymore as a Bittersweet Ending, with all three siblings emotionally scarred by their major turning point of events. Instead they'd rather go see the world and help out people in those they need, rather than giving people a hard time, after they've realized they were good at helping others for the greater good.
  • Jossed. They don't change at all.

If season 3 is the final season, Ralph and Yakko, Wakko and Dot, will be on good terms and form a truce.
With the Warners having saved Ralph from being overthrown, they form a truce and decide to chase each other around the lot, just for fun.
  • Jossed.

If season 3 is the final season, Yakko, Wakko and Dot will leave the Warner Bros. Studio for good, to find their new life.
The season and the reboot ends with the Warners bidding farewell to the Warner Bros. Studio and to the people they've met at the studio, as light somber music plays, and the Warners leave the Water Tower for the last time and head off into the horizon for their new life to see the world and help people in need.
  • Jossed. The reboot ends with a Downer Ending wherein the Warners are all killed off for good.
