WARNING!: For any tropes related to the original Sonic.EXE All-Stars and VS SoniKiller on this page, the aforementioned character (now dubbed "Toxinfect") is a Walking Spoiler for those games, so it's impossible to talk about him without ruining the experience for those who haven't played either game. As such, all spoilers for those folders, but not for Reclassified or the newer Sonic.EXE All-Stars games, have been switched off. You Have Been Warned!

"Ready for three rounds in one?"
—The Arc Words in the original Sonic.EXE All-Stars page

Sonic Reclassified is a fangame developed by NotSoDevy, Pico Digital Studios and CrystalChaos. It is a fangame related to Sonic.exe and themed around Sonic Origins, though with several changes to the formula to give it a fresh new coat of paint.

This is also a complete remake of Devy's original project, Sonic.EXE All-Stars (also under the name "SonicAllStars.exe"), which was made as a Compilation Re-release of the original three Sonic.EXE games with some modifications here and there. It was set to receive a sequel focusing on three different games and a Greater-Scope Villain as well before it got cancelled.

Since this point, direct ownership of the original All-Stars content has been handed down to SonicFan50002 and PrimalKoopaPictures of the GoldCodeX development team, which has led to plans for further remakes of the original two games split into four separate timelines of events; the "Remake Timeline", the "Original Timeline" (returning to focus on the classic story before going further), the "Rebooted Timeline" and the "Remastered Timeline".

Later on, Reclassified got split up into two separate projects under the same namesake; Sonic Reclassified: EXE Origins, which is the game how Devy originally intended it to be, and Sonic Reclassified: Genesis' Awakening, which uses the expanded lore touched upon prior.

Below are download links to both Reclassified and content from the original Sonic.EXE All-Stars package in its hayday, alongside all official retakes.

Any and all tropes related to these past games and upcoming retakes of them, but not for Sonic Mania-styled remaster, Hedgehog's Bloody Collection, will be covered on this page for convenience. Any and all tropes related to that game should be covered in its own article.

An official sprite series made by Primal, dubbed Sonic.EXE All-Stars: The Sprite Series, is available to watch on YouTube.

As stated in one of the page's posts, this is Not to Be Confused with Sonic.exe Reclassified, a Friday Night Funkin' mod that has no relation to this fangame. The All-Stars games listed on this page are also not to be confused with any of the imitators that spawned from the original's wide appeal.

Sonic.EXE

Sonic the Hedgehog

  • Splash Hill Zone Act 1

The fangame (alongside its original incarnation) contains examples of the following tropes:

Tropes generally applied between these games
  • Adaptation Deviation: Quite a lot changes between these compilations compared to the original games.
    • The Sonic.EXEs between the games are each Named by the Adaptation.
      • All-Stars Sonic.EXE is dubbed SonicClone, also named ManiX in Hedgehog's Bloody Collection.
      • Reclassified Sonic.EXE is named MegaDrivX.
    • Aside from Sonic.EXE All-Stars and Sonic.EXE All-Stars Remake, absolutely nothing is the same for the Sally.EXE and Rouge.EXE remasters, each featuring completely original content to deviate from the former's infamous plagiarism.
      • However, for Refined Edition, there will be the option to pick between the original levels and SonicFan50002's "Done Right" counterparts.
    • The Silver.EXE remake in Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2 wouldn't have included any of the original levels, instead going in the direction of those seen in Sally.EXE: The Creepypasta Remake and Oldum77's take on Tikal.EXE.
    • Sonic Reclassified completely throws out the majority of the original levels, only referring to them from time-to-time, in favour of completely original routes for the cast.
    • None of the original secret levels are present at all in either Sonic.EXE All-Stars or Sonic Reclassified, though the remasters aim to add them back in.
    • Between the games, there's a lot more platforming involved and much less "hold right to lose" logic going on.
  • Adaptation Expansion: In addition, these remakes expand on the originally seen content in its own ways.
    • Sonic Reclassified
      • Knuckles's route expands over three levels, leading up to a Boss Battle that can actually be won.
    • Sonic.EXE All-Stars 1 and 2
      • Amy's "Not Perfect" level is longer and the Special Stage does not lead to immediate death upon completion.
      • Sally gains two extra levels to go through before "Act 9".
    • Sonic.EXE All-Stars Remasters
      • All three of the major remasters plan to add in the secret levels from Sonic.EXE Version 7 again, with Refined Edition planning to also include the secret levels from the official Sonic.EXE remake.
  • Adapted Out: Due to general distaste of the character between team members, Toxinfect is pretty much voided out in all these games aside from Sonic.EXE All-Stars and HBC: VS SoniKiller, with future games instead having completely different Greater-Scope Villains.
  • Canon Discontinuity: Aside from the upcoming Refined Timeline, none of the upcoming games are canon to the original storyline, instead being their own self-contained stories. This includes Sonic Reclassified.
  • Compilation Re-release: This is fairly commonplace for these games, with each packaging multiple Sonic.EXE titles together into one collective package.
    • The original Sonic.EXE, Sally.EXE and Rouge.EXE games are all available to access from most games, each with their own changes in play as to not directly copy the existing formula.
    • The scrapped sequel to Sonic.EXE All-Stars would've included Silver.EXE, Mighty.EXE and Whiskas.EXE amidst its lineup.
  • Composite Character: Sonic and SonicClone, in these games, are actually the exact same entity, the EXE side having spawned from an untold Dark and Troubled Past Sonic went through.
  • Promoted to Playable: Several characters who appeared, though got killed off quick, and didn't have playable roles each get these between the games.
    • While Shadow doesn't have a direct playable role in the original Rouge.EXE, he gets one in all of the adaptations.
    • While getting a shared route with Vector in Mighty.EXE and only being playable for two of the levels, Charmy was planned to get his own separate route in Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2.
  • "X" Makes Anything Cool: A good number of the antagonists between these games have "X" somewhere in their names.

Sonic Reclassified

    Tropes for both project halves
  • Adaptational Skill: Boyfriend, while usually standing in one spot in his home game, has to apply such action to bypass key puzzles in his story.
  • Aspect Ratio Switch: For future updates to Reclassified, standalone games will have two of these, akin to Sonic Origins; "Classic Mode" with a 4:3 aspect ratio and limited lives, and "Reclassified Mode" with a 16:9 aspect ratio, infinite lives and some extra content. The "Definitive Mode" combining all three games together with a Grand Finale will always remain at the 16:9 ratio, however.
  • Bloodless Carnage: Downplayed. Surprisingly for a Sonic.EXE game, there's not a single critter corpse in sight in any of the levels, invoking Nothing Is Scarier as to what happened to them. The deaths of the characters still do involve blood, however.
  • Boss Battle: There are a few of these planned for the game, but for now, there is one in Hidden Palace Zone against MegaDrivX, both in his disguised Sonic form and his Hyper form.
  • Canon Discontinuity: As stated by Pico Digital Studios via a Twitter thread (see the Trivia page), Sonic Reclassified is its own self-contained story, meaning none of the original Sonic.EXE All-Stars content is canon to this game.
  • Collection Sidequest: While not present in the original Debut Demo, it's revealed in one GameJolt post that the Chaos Emeralds, black rings and cartridges will be available to gather throughout the game.
  • Easter Egg:
    • In the title screen of the Debut Demo, entering "CARMAL" will trigger a short disco sequence with dancing Sonics, backed by Caramelldansen. Following the sequence, the Character Select will appear as normal.
    • In Angel Island Zone, looking at the hidden room where a Special Stage ring was will have the text "SORRY, NOTHING" with Tokyo Toy Show Sonic looking back and forth rapidly.
  • Falling Damage: Should Knuckles lose to Hyper MegaDrivX, he'll suffer from this, getting his back broken and being rendered helpless against being finished off. He does avoid this should he succeed in stopping the One-Winged Angel form, however... only to get killed regardless.
  • Imposter Forgot One Detail: While this is absent in the original Debut Demo, future iterations of MegaDrivX have the buckles on his shoes absent, even when disguised as Sonic.
  • Mook Maker: A rare example of the player being able to do this. Robotnik has the ability to summon Badniks to his aid for navigational or offensive purposes.
  • No-Dialogue Episode: For most of the game, there is no dialogue from any of the characters, not even for MegaDrivX. Instead, the story is told in the vein of cutscenes based on those from Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
  • Secret Level: In the original Debut Demo, by entering "BLZEIT420" in the Character Select screen, the player can access Ice Cap Zone with Blaze for a short snowboarding section. This will be repurposed into free Downloadable Content later.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The code for the Debut Demo's secret level could possibly be a reference to the Sonic Twitter account's clever way of twisting the 420, Blaze It formula on its head note .
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Whenever Robotnik uses a spring to get around, while he is launched up, the spring actually breaks under his weight. A fresh one is spawned in a few seconds afterwards, however.
  • Take That!: The letterbox background based on the Sonic 1: WTF LAME ROM hack has this in spades, having quite the comment to several aspects of the EXE community in general. These are:
    • "WAIT WHO OWNS SONIC.EXE AGAIN?"note
    • "FNF MOD WHEN?"note
    • "SOME MESS THE SONIC.EXE COMMUNITY TURNED INTO, EH?"note
    • "SONIC OMENS SUCKS BALLS"note
    • "SONIC.EXE ISN'T SCARY"invoked
    • "WHAT IS HYPER REALISTIC?"note
  • Timed Mission: The game includes several of these that award coins, just like with Sonic Origins, such as getting to the goal of Normal Hill Zone within a minute.

Sonic Reclassified: EXE Origins

Tropes exclusive to Sonic Reclassified: EXE Origins
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/exe_origins_6.png
Sonic Reclassified: EXE Origins is the side of the game project that aims to keep things accurate to how Devy had originally conceptualised the game to be, with all his ideas intact for this project. This side of the project is directed by CrystalChaos and NotSoDevy.
  • Fetch Quest: The main goal of Launch Base Zone in the Debut Demo is to gather several robot parts around the level and return them to the in-progress robot.
  • Game Within a Game: In an update, Sonic.EXE All-Stars will be available to play within EXE Origins.

Tropes exclusive to the Sonic.EXE All-Stars Game Within A Game remake

Sonic Reclassified: Genesis' Awakening

Tropes exclusive to Sonic Reclassified: Genesis' Awakening
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/genesis_of_terror_7.png
Sonic Reclassified: Genesis' Awakening is the side of the game project focusing on the expanded lore first dropped in the posts on GameJolt, aiming to be a bit more story-driven in general and following the story of a world-threatening terror. This side of the project is directed by Pico Digital Studios and Rain Lancelot.
  • Alternate Reality Game: In the posts on the GameJolt page, there are updates as to the game's progress mixed with notes related to a "M.C." character.
  • Apocalyptic Log: Officially revealed on the Discord server for Reclassified is an event known as the Genesis Wars, which took place 5 centuries prior to the game and revolved around a conflict for the Chaos Emeralds. A resistance group, known as the Chaos Clan, allied together to stop the warlord Genesis from taking the Chaos Emeralds to unleash world domination on Gaia. As this war came to an end, seven Emerald Guardians sealed the Emeralds away to prevent them from being used by evil's clutches again. And while Genesis was ultimately defeated and sealed away, though, the effects of the war remained in West Side Island, which needed rebuilding with a lack of Chaos energy. As of present, the only remaining traces of this war can be traced back to Olympus, now under the name Aquatic Ruin Zone.
  • April Fools' Day: Drastically averted in that no such jokes or pranks are planned for this game at all.
  • Interquel: In-universe, Reclassified takes place between Sonic the Hedgehog CD and Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
  • Named by the Adaptation:
    • Instead of being called "Earth" or "Mobius", the world seen in Sonic Reclassified is dubbed "Gaia", while the counterpart of the Sol Dimension is named "Terra".
    • In this continuity, Sonic's proper name is Sonny Hedgehog, based on an early draft of the Sonic Bible.
    • The Hidden Palace Zone of Sonic 3 & Knuckles is instead dubbed Emerald Palace Zone in-game to avoid mixing it up with its Sonic the Hedgehog 2 counterpart that makes an appearance.
    • While the gemstone ruin level in Sonic Level Creator (PlaySEGA) has no official name, in Reclassified, it's dubbed "Gemstone Garden Zone", after the Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart fan-made race track with the level's aesthetics.
  • Noodle Incident: With official lore on the Discord server to go by, it's shown that this game isn't the first time Gaia had been attacked by a Sonic.EXE of some form. Thankfully, they were promptly sent back to their dimensions to prevent further damage to the islands.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: In the teaser image for the "Funkin' Terrors" DLC, Boyfriend lacks his signature grin and is instead expressing worry concerning what's going on.
  • The Purge: The events of Sally.EXE: Discovery, while occurring in this game's history, were wiped from history by Dark Gaia, and any inhabitants that didn't belong there were sent back home without any memory of the incident. ExHeller/Hellsin didn't survive this reset and perished. However, another villain from another world wasn't affected by this purge...
  • Related in the Adaptation: In most fanworks, Sonic has little to no connection to the villains of the Sonic.EXE works, often either being a victim or instead being subject to Demonic Possession of some kind. Here, though, he and the true Big Bad, Genesis, have some unknown relationship with each other.

    General tropes

    Tropes exclusive to Genesis.exe

Tropes exclusive to Sonic.exe: Delta Genesis
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/project_16_logo.png
Sonic.exe: Delta Genesis is the first instalment of the Delta saga, being more action-oriented and bringing a brand-new story with it. This project is led by Rain Lancelot and Sonic's Gaming Hub.
  • Actionized Sequel: The game itself plays out more like a traditional Sonic game, sporting around 13 whole levels of gameplay. This choice had last been done by Sonic.exe: Dark Times and Sonic: Clock of Madness.
  • Ascended Extra: While simply an afterthought in typical Sonic.EXE games, Shadow, Amy and Knuckles are the main stars of the show in this game.
  • Badass in Distress: As part of the game's plotline, Sonic himself has to be saved from Genesis's grasp.
  • Darker and Edgier: In contrast to the original Reclassified, Sonic.exe: Delta Genesis is not afraid to delve into much, MUCH darker scenarios than its predecessor.
  • Demoted to Extra: Tails, Cream, Sally and Rouge aren't as prominent here as they were originally.
  • Promoted to Playable: Amongst the playable cast, Vector, Mecha Sonic Mk. III and Tumble are included amongst the team out to stop Genesis.

These games (collectively referred to under the Sonic.EXE All-Stars Classic name) are each the original duology of games made by Not-so-Devy, each containing a set of games each to play through. Each provide some form of Adaptation Expansion where possible, while aiming to keep it accurate to the original creepypastas overall.

Sonic.EXE All-Stars includes:

Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2 includes:

  • Silver.EXE (made by EndaTheStar in 2017)
  • Mighty.EXE (made by FAIL_GAME in 2018)
  • Whiskas.EXE (made by ic003969 in 2016); mainly with Sonia's part of the game)note

  • Adapted Out: Any content from Rouge.EXE past Shadow's demise, including the "PLAYER" level and the virus fakeout.
  • All the Worlds Are a Stage: A bit of an odd mix on the formula with Sonia's demo stage, "Hybrid Hell Zone", mixing in assets from levels featured in both All-Stars and All-Stars 2.
  • Art Evolution: Between the main game and its sequel, Sonic and SonicClone both undergo some big sprite upgrades, the sprites now looking akin to a mix between the styles of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and the Modern era. PrimalKoopa's upcoming revamp will use the old sprites, however, while the Refined timeline will use the newer sprites.
  • Author Avatar: Nickbear, the main character of one of the developers, serves as the main protagonist of incomplete DLC, The Lost Game.
  • The Bad Guy Wins:
    • Obviously happening in Sonic.EXE All-Stars.
    • The whole premise of Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2's worst ending has this, with Toxinfect having reached victory and slaughtered every victim. Shame he didn't account for a Spanner in the Works in the form of SonicClone coming back with some backup.
  • Bait-and-Switch:
    • At the climax of Sally's section, things seem to be set up to end with her being crushed to death as per normal... when suddenly the walls vanish, leaving the ceiling at Sally's head height. As suddenly as this change happens, the enslaved Robotnik rushes by in his Drill Car, running Sally over and leaving her injured and helpless, right before Sonic.EXE finishes her off.
  • Boss Battle: There are none for the base game, but there were some planned for the sequel and the DLC.
    • For Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2, the Cliffhanger of the original game was planned to be resolved with a fight between Sonic and SonicClone right where the secret ending left off, with a Final Boss fight also planned out for later.
    • For The Lost Game, Nickbear fights off Sally.EXE in Sandopolis Zone in order to progress to victory.
  • Compilation Re-release: Like its official remaster, this game includes recreations of Sonic.EXE, Sally.EXE and Rouge.EXE to play through. The planned sequel would've expanded this to Silver.EXE, Mighty.EXE and Whiskas.EXE.
  • Driven to Suicide: Mighty's ultimate fate in Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2's "End for You", which was planned to be a worst-case scenario level for if none of the other Chaotix members survived.
  • Early Instalment Weirdness:
    • Early on in development, all the characters used the same generic scream upon death. However, as updates were rolled out, all of the characters (save for Rouge) have their own unique death screams, including Sally, whose scream is pulled straight from "Sonic's Nightmare".
    • Early builds of the original game had Launch Base Zone and a tunnel system akin to Labyrinth Zone as Robotnik's stages before the revamp to the Marble Zone-esque levels in future builds.
    • Prior to the remasters, the Bonus Stage uses Sonic 2's Special Stage background instead of anything fully related to the special stage style in question. Refined Edition, in particular, aims to fix this up.
  • Easter Egg: In Hide & Seek, backtracking once the chase begins and jumping up will cause SonicClone to vanish and restore Tails to full strength, necessary to access the two Easter Eggs present in this level.note
    • Going all the way to the right after SonicClone is gone will give you a message congratulating you for wasting your time walking in a straight line. Walking off-screen from there will trigger a Goal Post bug prominent in Sonic Worlds before restarting the level.
    • Flying to the top of the level will show one of the creepy mushrooms from I HATE YOU, and touching it will close the game, linking you to the "Super Mario Canyon" YouTube video.
  • Fatal Flaw: As revealed from Pico, his arrogance proved to be Toxinfect's major flaw that led to his downfall. And while he came REALLY close to overpowering Boyfriend and Girlfriend at one point, he was still taken down.
  • Guide Dang It!: The black rings and dark red rings found in the game are pretty hard to come by, especially with little to no hints given in advance. To find black rings, one must find a spot in a character's first level where they hear a chime jingle, then enter a code assigned to each spot. After that, they have around a minute to track down the black ring in a secret level before it's lights out. The dark red rings are more difficult to find, since they require backtracking at key moments in "You Can't Run", "Kind and Fair" and "Final Hill", which will end up resulting in an altered death for those collecting it.
  • Jumpscare:
    • After Sally's demise, while the "Hooked on Sonics" scene is Adapted Out, after the closeup of Sally.EXE's face, a jumpscare suddenly triggers with a more detailed version of the same face before the Sally.EXE segment ends.
    • Another one is triggered at the end of the Toxinfect secret, with the creature literally Breaking the Fourth Wall before lunging straight at the screen. Fortunately, the game crashes before he can cause anything nasty to happen.
  • Letting the Air out of the Band: At several points in Sonic.EXE All-Stars, this happens to invoke a sense of dread.
    • The Hill Act 1 theme slows to a crawl once Tails reaches the beginning again and finds "Sonic" waiting there.
    • The "Carnival Night" music also does this after Cream's crashed into the spikes.
    • While not exactly "music" per se, the "BSoD" sound gradually fades out and lowers in pitch after Toxinfect has smashed the majority of the in-game screen.
  • Long Song, Short Scene: The tweaked "FFFFF" music for Tails's Black Ring level. Pre-Version 4, it was indeed possible to hear the whole thing, alongside some spoken dialogue from SonicClone. However, following that, thanks to the stage becoming a Timed Mission, it's next to impossible to hear the full thing.
  • No Fair Cheating: While the Stage Select of Sonic.EXE All-Stars can be used to access any of the game's stages with any number of black rings and dark red rings (likely the main way to access a certain secret), the secret endings (aside from accessing Sonic's secret level via the Stage Select) will be interrupted with a game closure and a link to nope.avi.
  • Nothing Is Scarier: While the Black Ring stage has a different theme for each character that enters it, Shadow's entry... is different. There's absolutely no music accompanying his trek here, and you'll only hear SonicClone's laughter again after you've claimed the ring.
  • Redemption Quest: Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2 for SonicClone/Sonic. After going through a Curbstomp Battle with Toxinfect and being forced to reflect on his harsh actions, he undergoes a Heel–Face Turn and opts to help other targets survive instead of killing them. Even better is that he had a backup plan in place in case things didn't go well.
  • Secret Level:
    • In the original Sonic.EXE All-Stars, the traditional Sonic secret level is unlocked by acquiring all eight black rings.
    • Silver's stage, Lava Reef Zone, was demoted to extra in Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2's demo due to being incomplete. However, it can be played by holding Up, Y and W on the game's Content Warning screen.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Several of the recreated segments in Sally's route are based on those seen throughout a LittleBigPlanet 2 recreation of the original Sally.EXE creepypasta game.
    • When Rouge is caught and killed off, it's played in the same manner as Sonic.EXE: Darkest Struggles, with her body becoming corrupted into her EXE self before disappearing.
    • Translating the secret Japanese message shows that it's a nod to the secret bad ending of ToyStory3.exe, also including the Arc Words of Sonic 3: Hacked Cartridge.
    • A good portion of Toxinfect's dialogue is pieced together from that of Anti-Sonic.DLL and iNSaNIty.exe.
    • At the conclusion of All-Stars 2's worst ending, the timeline is reset in the vein of Sonic.Exe: Spirits of Hell, though not before those triggering the reset take the chance to rub it into Toxinfect's face.
    • The completed remaster of said ending's cutscene has these lines from Phaton and Puroto during the EXE group's encouragement towards the player, both affectionate shoutouts to Undertale.
Phaton: And in the words of a great indie game about underground monsters, stay determined!
Puroto/Glitched Amy: Your actions will determine the future of all Mobians and humans!
    • As of Version 4, the level select code for the first game ("L-U-I-G-I") is a nod to YouTuber Luigikid Gaming, who had played the game in the past. The audio heard upon uncovering the secret is also taken straight from his first playthrough of the game.
  • Spanner in the Works: Toxinfect's victory would have gone well if it weren't for SonicClone ruining it with help from Exegod, Exrath, Exruby and Phaton (alongside Puroto, then named Glitched Amy, in the 16:9 revamp of the cutscene). Simply put, Toxinfect does NOT take well to this.
  • Unintentionally Unwinnable: For version 4 of Sonic.EXE All-Stars, the game ended up closing before the "battle" in "You Can't Run". This was down to a trigger for an Easter Egg being activated too soon and rendering said Easter Egg unable to show up. This was since fixed.
  • Villain Decay: As time went on, Toxinfect lost any and all grace he once had, having to get beaten by several heroes at least five times consecutively before finally biting the dust in the vein of William Afton's fall from grace.
  • We Are Experiencing Technical Difficulties: A color test screen pops up when the EXEs attack Toxinfect, with the sounds of punching being heard off-screen.

Tropes exclusive to HBC: VS SoniKiller (SPOILERS UNMARKED)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hbc_vs_sk_logo.png
This game is a demo based around Hedgehog's Bloody Collection, for a conceptualised final boss fight against SoniKiller/Toxinfect himself. This has since been scrapped, and the available demo only contains the first phase of combat.
  • Always a Bigger Fish: Toxinfect falls afoul of this at the hands of Corrupthog in an unseen cutscene, opening the way for the latter to claim his title as the games' Greater-Scope Villain (save for Reclassified).
  • Final Boss: Toxinfect himself was set up like this at the time of this game's creation, though the role has been switched to a different entity due to disapproval from another creator for HBC.
  • Medium Awareness: Toxinfect utilises this trope to the extreme during the boss fight, using various components from the CORE Framework to attack Sonic with. A planned Phase 2 would've had him using YOUR computer to his advantage.
  • Shout-Out: The opening sequence is presented akin to that of Friday Night Funkin'. "Breakfast (Scary)" was even planned to be used in the game at one point.
  • Victory Fakeout: The fight appears to be over after the first phase, with Sonic doing his victory animation upon beating the battle. However, this is quickly interrupted by Toxinfect springing back up, glaring with no eyes at all.

Tropes exclusive to Sonic.EXE All-Stars: The Original Trilogy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/original_trilogy_logo.png
Developed by PrimalKoopaPictures, Sonic.EXE All-Stars: The Original Trilogy is a rehash of the original set of games discussed on this page above, featuring some tweaks and improvements to make it stand out.

The first part of this collection saw release on the 25th October 2023, containing the first part of the collection as Sonic.EXE All-Stars V5.
Most tropes for this set of games are already covered in the above "Tropes exclusive to Sonic.EXE All-Stars" folder, while this folder will cover any tropes exclusive to these revamps.
  • Shout-Out: The top-of-map Hide & Seek Easter Egg has been fully reworked to fully replicate the way it played out in I HATE YOU, complete with the Super Mario World life loss jingle and the "YOUR NEXT" message from the ROM hack version, complete with the classic Kefka laugh. This would've gone further at some point in development, in that you would've been forced back to Splash Hill, but in a red hue, though this was ultimately cut, instead sending you right to the "Super Mario Canyon" video.
  • Surprisingly Happy Ending: It's been outright confirmed that the best possible ending to All-Stars 2 with all the characters surviving is indeed canon.

Tropes for Sonic.EXE All-Stars: The Sprite Series
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: Compared to the usual types for Sonic.exe, the one seen in Part 1's title screen intro has SonicClone's EXE state just as upset as the original, Foreshadowing that he's not looking forward to this.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Right from Part 2, it's shown SonicClone clearly doesn't want to do what he's doing, and once he comes back to his senses the moment Tails is decapitated, he's completely full of shock, horror and guilt at the crime. Part 3 also shows him mourning the loss of his best friend, complete with Broken Tears.

Alternative Title(s): Sonic Exe All Stars, EXE Origins, Sonic Exe Delta Genesis
