Aqua's having the time of her life. Izuku's wondering what he signed up for.

The story involves the crossover between My Hero Academia and KonoSuba. The Kazuma Gang returning to adventure with Izuku and his cavalry party of the Sports Festival entering a new world. The two groups are split up and separated, but traverse the new world with one another and aid those in need. Facing off against the Lord of the Tomb and other enemies. Combining both comedy and drama in this new tale of adventure. The story can be read here on Fanfiction.net or on Spacebattles, but with pictures.

A freak accident kills Izuku and his team during the UA Sports Festival. Fortunately, a goddess offers to resurrect him if he manages to save a fantasy world. Unfortunately, that Goddess is Aqua. Kazuma thought he was going to live a cushy retirement in the Divine Realm, but when an irate bird-boy chooses him as his bonus, the only way back to NEETdom is by saving the world. Again.
Summary

Later on, the story involves other worlds such as Re:Zero, Overlord (2012), The Saga of Tanya the Evil, Haruhi Suzumiya, The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious and other minor worlds.

This story contains examples of the following tropes:

  • Action Hero:...Who isn't a hero here? The Kazuma Gang, Izuku and his friends, Bakugo, Yunyun, even Mineta all show to be this as they're plunged into the war against Nazerick.
  • Achievement In Ignorance: Nobody bothered to tell Aqua the peculiarities of One For All, so when she met All Might she casually restored a good chunk of his powers. Later on, she shows her ability in singing and dancing making everyone shocked as they expected her to be horrible. King Kai even admits her restoring All Might's power was not something he expected at all.
    • Later, she changed Eri's Quirk into a healing one, without even knowing what DNA is and how it's supposed to determine one's Quirk. She said it was easy, as it was written in her body and not her soul.
  • Adaptation Personality Change: Surprisingly, Bakugo gets this. In his adventure he learns things that affect his own personality. While he still swears, is crass and is as rude as he is in canon, he now sees the power of teamwork and obeys Iris, somewhat reluctantly, when he usually doesn't listen to people. He also showed anger when he thought the Kazuma Gang were enemies, thinking Izuku had been replaced by an impostor.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Izuku and Mei get married. Uraraka and Izuku spend enough time apart that when they reunite, they decide to just be friends. Kazuma and Megumin's canon relationship expends and even apart the two clearly care for one another. Oddest of all perhaps, is Darkness and Tokoyami's budding romance.
    • Later on, we see the relationship between Bakugo and Izuku change dramatically. Due to both of their adventures, Izuku isn't less of a push-over towards Bakugo with the former himself no longer as mean to him. While things are somewhat awkward between them, the two have a more considerable stable relationship.
  • Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence: After Aqua, Eris and the Kazuma Gang are reduced to mortals, during their time off it's suggested that to stand a better chance at facing Ainz and his forces, Aqua needs to be a Goddess again. Thus Kazuma and Izuku decided to have her become an idol where the crowd's cheers and donations and offerings will give her power.
    • Funningly, Eris and Megumin don't wish to be Goddesses again. The former as she was once a human and wants to find love and the latter because she wants to have sex with Kazuma.
  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Iida does this to Aqua. Upon hearing his brother died compared to last time, he goes to Aqua and begs her to raise his brother, to the point of even joining her religion instead of Rista's. Aqua does so, but as a friend.
  • A God Am I: Haruhi proclaims herself as this in her Interlude, though is quick to correct she's the God of Comedy, not the Christian God.
  • All of the Other Reindeer: In the Heavens there are numerous Divisions such as Comedy, Horror, Shounen and so on. Out of all of them, Comedy, run by Haruhi Suzimya, is considered the lowest of the bunch. It's a big surprise to the other Divisions that they're the only ones that can stop Ainz and his gang due to circumstances.
  • Always Someone Better: Izuku admits that Megumin's Explosions are stronger and bigger than Bakugo's.
    • Demiurge states that Ainz is powerful, but there are a handful in the universe that are stronger than even the Lord of the Tomb.
  • Ambiguously Human: It's revealed that while Aqua is mortal and no longer a God, Nighteye tells All Might that she isn't human at all. That while she might be mortal like them, she isn't like them as his power is unable to even see her future at all, something that only occurs in non-humans like animals.
  • Anti-Climax: During a mock battle between many students to see they're new skills like Iris, Yunyun and others, the game they play is Capture the Flag. With Yunyun's team vs Aqua's and the fights between being rather epic, particularly with Iris vs Izuku. Yunyun's team wins as Kazuma, on Aqua's team, gave the flag to Megumin for her panties. A anti climatic battle indeed.
  • Alien Invasion: What All Might and Nezu believe they have to prepare for as Nazerick will come eventually and must prepare their world and the students.
  • Anti-Villain: The Big Bad that started the story Alucard is this. He admits to all his faults, his sins, everything. Acknowledging he's a monster. Even admitting that when he became a God, he puts the humans under his rule suffering. However, he also sees humanity not as playthings as most Gods, but people who should overcome hardship to prove their worth. Despising the Gods for making humanity a Cosmic Plaything and truly wishes to save them and feels sorrow for humanity who suffers under the more cruel Gods. Thus why he set on his mission to save the multiverse in his own way.
  • Anti-Hero: Downplayed. Kazuma tries to paint himself as this. He claims that he only cares about protecting his friends and family and everybody else he considers NPC's. He even goes so far as to say he wouldn't care if Kaiser Fred or the others were killed and zombified by Nazerick. Tokoyami sees through this as while Kazuma may cherish his friends and family more than others, Kazuma obviously could have easily left the regular people to their fate by the Tomb's hand. Time and again, Kazuma continued to help others even though they weren't his friends. Only moments later, Kazuma even attempts to save a regular police officer who was guarding him in jail when he believed a demon was nearby and would have killed the man.
  • Anti-Magic: Demiurge uses this to his advantage at times. While it strips him and his allies of levels and World Class Items, it takes all the enemies magical power leaving both sides to fight as they are. Or in Demiurge's case, summoning Tanya's own troops with guns-which don't rely on magic-to kill those who now can't defend themselves. It has killed many people leaving many Gods helpless including Eris who nearly dies along with Iris and the others. However, it only works on magic.
  • As Long as It Sounds Foreign: When Izuku finds that other characters have entered U.A., those from Re: Zero and Rising of the Shield Hero, he finds their names except Natsuki Subaru and Iwatani Naofumi strange. Makes sense as aside from those two, everyone else never had a last name and were just given one.
  • Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy: Bakugo shows himself to be this. When Yunyun calls upon him, he declares he'll easily defeat Ainz-the guy who's destroyed over a hundred worlds-and considers himself to be the strongest person in U.A. High. While Sero admits Bakugo is strong and good considering he easily destroyed many high-level skeletons, Sero claims not even Bakugo could win without help.
  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: Aqua hates what Wiz is because she is a perversion of the Gods will and that she will become a true Lich one day. But, she admits when asking King Kai for help that she admits she was a good Lich and is willing to bring her back to life.
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: Aizawa proves to be this when easily deducing that his students must have experienced some dimensional tomfoolery. His points being:
    • They all seemed to know one another.
    • Kazuma wasn't as scared of him as the other students.
    • Ms. Joke being in U.A. despite her historically having a low opinion of UA and admitting to being confused why she's there.
    • His inability to cancel Megumin's 'Quirk' Explosion.
    • Nezu also shows himself to be this when he realizes he accepted more students from schools that didn't even exist.
  • Babies Ever After: During Komekko's stay in Belzerg for 200 years, she gets married or at least did it with a person and had many kids and grandkids. They are the last of the Crimson Demon Tribe.
  • Badass Crew: Due to the looming threat of all Gods being annihilated, King Kai of Dragonball has Goku see if he can gather Naruto, Luffy and later on Saitama along with others to save the multiverse, otherwise face the end of the Age of Gods.
  • Balance Between Good and Evil: When All Might and Kazuma meet King Kai, the God tells them that Gods create worlds which includes heroes. When the Number 1 Hero then questions about where villains come from and a possible 'Dark' Aqua, King Kai admits where there is creation, there is destruction. Thus where the Dark Gods come in with their own beings. Though Alucard, a Dark God, is ruining the balance.
  • Big Bad: Ainz Ooal Gown of Overlord is the big bad of the series, having destroyed numerous worlds and seems to have no humanity left. Helping him is Tanya the Evil. Later on, upon seeing the My Hero Academia world is open, he plans on creating a Big Bad Ensemble and using its strongest villains to destroy their own world, then continue on his multiversal rampage.
  • Big Brother Instinct: When Kazuma finds Eri and her state, he takes a protective instinct to her. This isn't even including Aqua and Wiz, the latter who was willing to freeze the Yakuza in an instant for hurting a little child.
  • Berserk Button:
    • Aqua can't stand seeing people hurt and wants to heal them. When she sees her followers are reluctant to aid the poor, she berates them, then threatens to sic Megumin on them.
    • Aqua hates the undead, even more so when Ainz is the cause of all the chaos and destruction.
    • The death of all her followers and other innocents sends Aqua and everybody else into a rage, with them all vowing to destroy Ainz for his crimes.
    • Same applies to Eris, who joins Aqua in facing down the Chief Goddess.
    • Bakugo shows this to Aizawa when the teacher thinks Iris is delusional and defends her from his comments. Also shows anger when he sees innocent people about to die or be sacrificed.
    • Anybody that messes with a member of the Kazuma Gang or their friends, risk getting beaten up. Be it bad, or even good. Too bad the latter causes trouble.
    • Mina and Kirishima seeing humans being treated as slaves or food.
    • Wiz from Konosuba hates whenever humans are eaten and instantly killed the monsters doing the deed in Axel by freezing them to death. When she learns of Eri though, she shows her inhumane side showing how slowly she's slipping into becoming a lich.
    • Eris already hated demons and undead before. While suppressed, one can tell her hate for them is even greater.
    • For Iris, treating her people as dirt. Gets worse when Demiurge uses the corpses of her father and brother to fight her, making her rage even more to the point her lines are nothing but screams.
  • Beyond the Impossible: Aqua manages to heal All Might of all his conditions bringing him back to shape and even restoring a good chunk of is quirk One For All! While All Might admits he doesn't have the true strength of One For All as he passed it down, the remaining embers he has is much greater than before and thanks Aqua for it.
  • Broken Pedestal: Downplayed. While Izuku sees Aqua as childish and annoying, he does trust her to do the right thing. And while he questions her Goddess status, he's glad she helps people and is grateful for her aid in dealing with the enemy.
    • Inverted for Eris. Bakugo is left wondering why she even looks up to Aqua.
    • Alucard once saw the God-and later on Gods-and benevolent beings that would help humanity. His viewpoints of them are shattered as he horrifyingly sees that the God that runs his division doesn't care and even turned his greatest foe into a monster. Even finding the other Gods horrible as while they don't make humans suffer as Horror, their Divisions still see them as playthings. This makes him decide to wipe them out to save humanity and kill what he now considers monsters.
  • Break the Cutie: Iris had to see her father and brother die, her citizens killed, her retainers murdered as they saved her and those she knew well like Dust killed off. Her entire world then ruined and turned into a nightmare for humans. Yeah, she was pretty upset for a while after all this.
  • Break the Haughty: A downplayed version for Bakugo, who during his adventure faces those from Nazerick much stronger than him. When he kills himself, but later comes back to life, he is given a new perspective of villains and himself. hanging him for the better when he goes back to U.A.
  • Bullying a Dragon: When Tanya tries making a deal with Overhaul and his group, he doesn't believe her words much about the Gods and taunts her. She shows him her memories revealing just how much of a monster she is and how dangerous she is compared to him. He agrees to work with her for his goals and immortality under a magical contract that will punish him greatly if he betrays them.
  • The Cameo: The Subaru Gang at last show up, living with Kazuma in the same apartment with other dimensional people. He is seen with Felt, Rem, Ram and Emillia.
    • The Naofumi Gang also show up and have a brief scuffle with Midoriya and Aqua before going on their way.
  • Capitalism Is Bad: Aqua thinks this. While she doesn't mind making money, when many suggested singing for cash, she refuses as she believes art is a free form, contrast to Eris, who was the Goddess of Fortune of luck and money, who wanted to use Aqua's talent to make money. In her eyes she's Doing It for the Art.
  • Cassandra Truth: What happens to Mei when she tries telling her older sister of her adventure...Obviously she's seen as crazy. Izuku also realizing that nobody would believe them naturally due to the absurdity of it all. Thus they decide to just say he and Mei are boyfriend and girlfriend instead of being married and are having safe sex. This version of the 'truth' is taken much better than the first.
  • Character Development: Many characters have this during their time in other worlds such as Bakugo, the Kazuma Gang and a few others. Mineta also gets this as he's no longer a pervert, or at the least not as one as he used to.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: When Megumin believes Kazuma is with Yunyun, she angrily states Yunyun better not make a move on Kazuma and for Kazuma not to fall for temptation. Having also been annoyed that she can't have proper sex with him in the heavenly realm. Also gets mad when a grown-up Iris comes and hugs Kazuma and states he should have married her. She's not pleased.
  • Corrupt the Cutie: Played for Laughs on Megumin. Before, she loved adventures. Upon entering the MHA world and Darkness forcing her and Kazuma to go to UA, she refuses saying she'd rather be a NEET like Kazuma instead. Also during the capture the flag game, she traded her panties for the flag from Kazuma, something she never would have done before.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: What Aizawa thinks of his students. Especially Megumin. Sadly, Yunyun comes off as a bit of a weirdo as well.
  • Costume Evolution: Many in U.A. has some new costumes after their adventures in the other worlds for Class 1-A such as Izuku. Though some like Kazuma are stuck with their old clothing still with Todoroki also asking Momo for new threads having regretted his hero costume which was the U.A. gym clothes.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Tanya. She does everything efficiently and without fooling around. Thus why she's such a dangerous threat.
  • Cuteness Proximity: What Aqua does when she sees Nezu, the schools principle.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle:
    • Nazerick deals these to almost every single world they visit, with only a few people capable of fighting them from the Comedy Division.
    • When the Kazuma Gang battles Death Arms, Woods and Backdraft, while they're good the Kazuma Gang fights a bit better due to having actual experience with real villains.
    • On Belzerg, Eris, Iris, Bakugo and others meet Eris's boss from Upper Management, Koizumi. He easily deals with them, even Bakugo who didn't expect it.
  • Darker and Edgier: While this story does have the good moments, laughs and joy, by no means is it all sunshine and rainbows. Death, massacre, torture and genocide are all involved. The Kazuma and Izuku gangs are facing real evil equal or above All For One and Tomura.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: This story reveals why Eris hates undead and devils. As back when she was mortal before becoming a Goddess, she spent her mortal life fighting demons and undead, her family slain by the Devil King of her time. Thus why when she became a Goddess, she vigorously killed undead.
  • Deal with the Devil: Tanya loses all her allies, barely survives the war and committed many war crimes. Then Being X comes and forces her hand when he controls Visha and meets Alucard who allows her to meet Ainz. She makes a deal with him to work with him to save Visha which leads to her Big Bad Slippage.
    • Eris of all people does this. Despite being a Knight Templar and wanting to kill Wiz and Vanir, after the deaths of so many of her people, she decides to make a deal with Vanir to one day help out Belzerg which he agrees to. While she isn't happy about it, she'd rather do a Enemy Mine if it means saving her people. In return, she'll turn Wiz human.
  • Defeating the Undefeatable: For centuries Nazerick has been the Invincible Villain, due to facing the Comedy Division of the multiverse. Killing many Gods, destroying countless worlds and killing heroes while torturing billions and never having a serious battle sans the Overly Cautious Hero and a few others. Thanks to Izuku, Kazuma, Aqua and many others, at long last the heroes gain an actual victory for once, to everyone's shock, even Nazerick. The list of their first losses include:
    • Sebas betraying the Tomb because he is the creation of Touch Me, leading the Maid bosses and Gargatuan to their deaths. Enri Emmot was also killed along with Duke of Terror.
    • Demiurge fleeing Belzerg and barely escaping death himself, all his assets gone.
    • Victim's world unresponsive.
    • Cocytus and his Lizard Men world vanished and gone.
    • Shaltear and Albedo killed, revived, but unable to battle for some time.
    • The Fiore Twins alive but fleeing their world.
    • Godslayer Tanya driven from the field.
    • Aqua still away from their clutches and eluding them, much to their anger.
  • Death Seeker: Word of God[1] states that Sebas held back in the Chapter 17 fight and was not at his best as centuries of killing innocents wore him out. He was hoping he would die, giving the heroes a chance to win.
    • Once the heavens are killed, Alucard wishes to die knowing humanity is freed.
    • Vanir admits to All Might that despite enjoying the despair from humans for many years, he grew tired of it after so long. Only sticking around for Wiz and will accomplish one last thing for Haruhi before he decides to kill himself.
  • De-power: Eris and Aqua are hit with this along with the Kazuma Gang who were at the least Demi-Gods. The first two now mortal due to breaking many rules, but can regain their power if they get enough followers again. As for the Kazuma Gang, they no longer have the authority of a God with Megumin herself no longer wishing to be a Goddess.
  • Death by Adaptation: Both Stain the Hero Killer and Iida's brother Ingenium alongside Uwabami are killed by Visha with the soldier raising the former as an undead. Thanks to Aqua though, the two heroes are brought back to life.
  • Did Not See That Coming: For all of Alucard's great planning, he certainly didn't expect Aqua to be part of the Isekai Quartet which would kinda cause his well thought out plan to slightly derail. Though overall, he more or less managed to get around that and has Ainz gunning for her.
    • Turns out Wiz has gained some money skill to create a resistance with fed humans with good gear. Vanir is shocked that after all these years, Wiz knows how to finance under his nose.
    • At UA when thinking of plans to get Aqua to be a Goddess, Kazuma and Izuku have her set on being an idol. Due to Aqua's known clumsiness and being rather dumb, everyone thinks she needs practice. To their absolute shock, her singing and dancing is perfect with Jiro loving her song and Eris shocked she still retains her 'spark' of the Arts.
  • Death Is Cheap: With Aqua around, it sure is.
    • Sadly, the same for the Tomb as they can resurrect their own forces except possibly Sebas as Demiurge tells his Lord at long last he betrayed them due to his Good aligned nature.
  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: Kazuma questions why some like All Might don't treat him as such since he's older than them by technicallity. His personality and childish ways doesn't help.
  • Dying Alone: What Aqua fears most and when the Chief takes away her Goddess title and sends her away to be mortal, she cries not because of that, but because she believes that she'll never see Kazuma and the others again.
  • Dying Moment of Awesome: Komekko goes out like this in a literal bang. Using her own Explosion Spell to the max while taking out lots of warriors.
  • The Dog Bites Back: After years of being under pressure from Nazarick with people and worlds dying, at long last the Gods formed a proper alliance with new heroes and some from Izuku's world. With strong allies helping them out, they're making Nazarick actually retreat for once, much to Kazuma's shock.
  • The Dreaded: Apparently, one of the Tomb's allies has killed enough deities to earn the title of Godslayer. Even powerful gods like Ristarte and Seiya fear them. Later we learn it's Tanya the Evil of all people that is the Godslayer. Demiurge himself admits he has nightmares of her!
  • Dressing as the Enemy: More like they turn themselves into the enemy. Mina and Kirishima using their quirks to make them appear as monsters. Even better, since their appearance is default and not magic-something the skeletons try to use to see through-they go in without alarming anybody.
  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: Bakugo certainty doesn't give such thing to people like the royal Iris and Goddess Yunyun. Sero himself actually having enough of Bakugo's crap against Yunyun and has him be more amicable which Bakugo agrees if only because he respected Sero's ability to actually yell at him. Later on, after aiding Iris and returning to his world, he gives the two girls respect and even others.
  • Dying Race: Vanir tells All Might that Comedy Division had thousands of Gods once. But because of Ainz and his forces, there are only two dozen Gods in Comedy left.
  • Foreshadowing: Apparently due to some unknown incident, the world Izuku and his friends come from has been accessed by the Comedy Division of the Divine Realm. Now many students from UA are helping out against Nazarick.
  • Eviler than Thou: What Nazerick is as a whole to every enemy the Kazuma Gang has faced. Even the Devil Kings of other worlds seem kinder in comparison. They're cruel, powerful and have abilities beyond even most gods. They can revive themselves, they don't make stupid mistakes, show no mercy and are pragmatic and plan for everything. Even after they face their first loss in centuries, they'll simply review their mistakes and ensure they don't make them again.
    • After learning of what his students faced and what is to come, All Might admits that Ainz may be worse than All For One. As at least the latter wishes to rule, not destroy the planet.
  • Evil Is Petty: Being X shows himself to be this in Tanya's Interlude. When Tanya survives all his hardships, what does he do? Control Visha just because he can. This will cause what is implied to be his downfall.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: During Alucards's interlude chapter, we see the horror on his face when he learns what he considered to be a Worthy Opponent Abraham turns himself to a monster to kill him. Even worse, when it's God, AKA Being X of Tanya the Evil, that forces him to do so. He also feels anger at God for being willing to turn his reality into emptiness and wiping it out simply because he would refuse to become a God and only joined to save his world.
    • Despite using them and giving them the power to enter the multiverse to wreak havoc, turns out Alucard hates the Overlord gang and vows he'll kill them one day.
    • Vanir of Konosuba admits to having done bad deeds. From humiliating humans to the occasional kill if it suited him. However, even he is appalled by the new state Belzerg is in and wishes for it to be gone. Thus why he joined Eris in overthrowing Demiurge.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Many people, be it on the side of good or even evil, from jerks to nice people, all find what Nazerick does to be appalling as it seems relatively pointless to be this cruel. Even some of the jerk Gods in the Divine Realm feel what Nazerick does is too much.
    • Bakugo is a jerk, rude, and thinks of people as lower than him unless they prove themselves. But when he heard and saw how innocent people were about to be sacrificed to summon the Dark Young, he immediately went to save them. For all his faults, he still genuinely wishes to help people.
  • Emotion Eater: Thanks to Vanir's power and the sad-state Belzerg is in, Vanir has gathered much power to the point where he can take care of all the monsters in Axel himself alongside Wiz. Though against Demiurge it won't work unless he makes a plan alongside Eris, Mina, Kirishima, and the others on Belzerg.
  • Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: In the flashback about Haruhi's origin this is how Kyon reacts when he finally realizes that he is the slider to complete Haruhi's list.
  • Evil Gloating: Nazerick does this a lot like Pandora's Actor, and usually they can get away with it with no heroes harming them. Thankfully, chapter 32 plays it straight.
  • FanBoy: Kazuma is this and extra when he dies and meets many people he thought were fiction. From Botan of Yu Yu Hakusho, King Yenma, Soul Eater, and Dragon Ball characters like King Kai and Goku. Extra points with the latter who asked for Goku's babies while getting to see him fight All Might.
  • Face–Heel Turn: After Nazerick conquered Belzerg, Wiz and Vanir seemed to joined them and helped harm the people. Even Aqua fell for it. This was immediately averted as they were never evil at all, as they secretly helped Eris in her rebellion and state they are on the heroes side. Helps somewhat that the Higher Ups also sent them to the My Hero Academia world to aid the Kazuma Gang.
  • Family of Choice: Kazuma considers Aqua as an annoying cousin at this point with Iris as his little sister. In turn, Iris sees Kazuma as a brother, and not in a romantic light as she used to.
  • Fading Away: Aqua states this happens to all Gods and Goddesses and will happen to her one day. She didn't mind, until she became friends with Kazuma and the Gang. Now she wishes to cherish her time with them.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Averted. The Kazuma Gang treats Yunyun as a friend. Unfortunately, it's somewhat of a vitriolic friendship. They usually leave her out of things and tease her.
  • Feeling Their Age: All Might admits to this. Even with Aqua healing him, he is still old and admits that he can't keep fighting forever. While he does plan on retiring with Izuku succeeding him, he believes he'll do so only after the war with the Tomb then retire and find a nice hobby.
  • Feed It with Fire: When Omega tries killing Tokoyami with her dark powers, it works in harming him. However, said dark powers only makes Dark Shadow much, much, much stronger. Giving her not only essentially a Villainous Breakdown by causing her to feel fear instead of only disdain. She also gave Dark Shadow enough power to give her a Cruel and Unusual Death as the quirk rips her limb from limb.
  • Fake Memories: Kan, Aizawa, Ms. Joke, Nezu and All Might all realize that their memories of accepting new students from places that don't exist and Ms. Joke joining are all fake. Making them realize something or someone affected them.
  • Flat-Earth Atheist: Aizawa was already this. But upon hearing that Aqua is a Goddess, he claims he'll be this again with Kan agreeing as he states Naofumi is a jackass and acts like a rabid dog. Of course he winds up joining Eris’s church in the end
  • Friendless Background: Mei admits she had this due to people thinking she's weird, her anti-social skills and ignoring social interactions to work on her inventions. She admits that she's glad she has Izuku and the others to be her friends.
  • Good Is Dumb: Aqua is one of the most nicest characters there is. And while she is a bit narcissistic and annoying, she genuinely does wish to help her friends. Too bad she's not very bright.
  • Good Is Not Soft: If push comes to shove, our heroes like Izuku and Kazuma will kill the enemy. While they show no joy in the act, they do so to protect both the people and their friends. Chapter 17 shows this at its fullest.
  • God Needs Prayer Badly: Aqua and Megumin rely on their followers to give them power. Aqua needs them for all her spells for most part and Megumin needs prayer to use more Explosion spells compared to her old life. In return, they give their followers knowledge and power.
    • Worse as we learn later on, Ainz and his allies kill all people who pray to a God just to weaken them.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Ainz and Tanya are two of the main antagonist with the former starting a multiverse conquest to kill all Gods and take full control. However, this only happens because Alucard gives back their memories, which he tampers with of the Isekai Quartet and allows them to travel across worlds to spread devestation. His goals being unknown at the moment.
  • Grew a Spine: Combined with Character Development, Yunyun, while still meek and timid, does not put up with Bakugo's attitude and forcibly shuts him up. While very kind, she now shows herself to no longer be a pushover as easily since her time in heaven.
  • Hate Sink: The Overlord cast, after doing destruction to numerous worlds, are frankly, quite hated at this point. Especially when killing the innocents of billions.
    • Being X is also this and nobody cries when he is said to have died.
  • Happily Adopted: Eris is adopted by Wiz as proclaimed by Word of God.
  • Have We Met?: Kazuma and the gang feel like they've seen the Maid bosses, yet they never once met them at all back when the Tomb Lord's forces first battled them in Belzerg. Oddly, they know them because they recall them from Isekai Quartet.
  • Here We Go Again!: What Kazuma and Aqua feel when dragged into another world as 'bonus items' and are forced into saving the day again.
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: Eris sees herself as this. Lamenting how when her followers die, she can't even bring them back to life like Aqua and has grown tired of all the fighting with Nazerick.
  • Hero Killer:
    • What both Ainz and Tanya have become. Killing many heroes no matter what age and even Gods who try to stop them. Some quick, others sadistically.
    • Chisaki shows why he's one of MHA most dangerous villains, by killing All Might and Kazuma with the former on international television. He's defeated shortly thereafter, and the two dead heroes are revived by Aqua. Still, Chisaki is a deadly threat.
  • Hidden Heart of Gold:The Chief Goddess Haruhi Suzimya is a stern, rule enforcing woman who gives both of them a "The Reason You Suck" Speech, strips both Aqua and Eris of their Goddess titles for breaking rules, makes them mortals, and sends them away with the threat of turning them to cockroaches if they screw up again... Turns out, she gave them the least worst punishment possible. And as Asahina whispers to Aqua, is actually cheering for the two of them to regain their Goddess titles if they succeed in aiding against Ainz, even letting them keep some of their power to help out. Once alone, the Chief breaks down, upset at having to be serious. Naturally, Haruhi would rather go back to fun times instead of being serious and dramatic.
  • Hero of Another Story: Apparently both Yunyun and Eris are back in Belzerg helping out against the Tomb. They win and drive Nazerick away!
    • With the help of Team Todoroki alongside Ristarte and Seiya, the Godlsayer is driven away. A grand victory!
    • Mineta and his team apparently had their own adventure in the world of Re:Zero.
  • Horrifying the Horror: Alucard sees the Comedy Division to be, in some ways, worse than his own division.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard:
    • Due to the Overlord cast constantly winning, they can't fathom a possibility they could lose. This causes them to underestimate those like Izuku and Kazuma, or at the least believe they can still handle them. They lose because of that.
    • Later on, Demiurge states when new worlds opened up like where Izuku and Kazuma landed, he sent Nazerick's forces to conqueror them. He admits he did it too soon which caused Nazerick's first retreat and loss.
    • A flashback reveals that during the battle to free Belzerg, Demiurge uses Anti-Magic to try and kill Eris, Iris, and all those who use magic, having a squad with WWI-era guns ready to shoot them while taunting them. To his shock, Bakugo, Sero, Kirishima and Ashido can ignore that rule as they aren't using magic but Quirks, and easily deal with his now powerless magicless army including Pandora Actor and Demiurge since both can't use magic either. It's what nearly gets him killed while Pandora's Actor dies utterly powerless.
  • Humanity Ensues: Hits big time for both Aqua and Eris as they become full humans. While they have a chance to regain their former status, until then they're human. Both aren't exactly pleased with this (though later it's revealed Eris was once human, so she adjusts more easily).
    • Wiz herself wants this, with Aqua agreeing to help get her wish alongside Eris. By Chapter 41, she gets her wish.
  • Human Resources: Demiurge does this to the remaining humans in Belzerg. Iris and other heroes like Bakugo, Sero, Mina, Eris, and others put a stop to this while the Izuku and Kazuma Gang do their thing. Mina and Kirishima witnessing humans being sold as either work labors, slaves, or simply just food to their horror and disgust.
  • Idol Singer: What Aqua will be to become a Goddess again. She's really good at it.
  • I Am a Monster: Wiz fears that if to much time passes, she'll be no different than Ainz as she can feel what little humanity she has left slipping. She gets hit by Humanity Ensues later.
  • I Did What I Had to Do: Eris tells Aqua she broke a lot of rules to save Belzerg and doesn't regret it. Aqua agrees as she did the same.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: A downplayed version, but Kazuma and Megumin talk about their future and believe when all the fighting is done, they'd rather live peaceful days afterwards.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: At long last Yunyun gets friends as during the Capture the Flag game, many people consider her a friend making her overjoyed.
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: Eri is this considering what her life has been like after living with Overhaul. While rather delirious, she instantly takes a liking to the Aqua nendoroid because it's the only thing, despite being a toy, that says it loves her. Something she lacks in her abused life.
  • It's Personal with the Dragon: While Izuku and Kazuma are clearly the main heroes with many other powerful allies, to Ainz and his servants, Aqua is their real enemy and goal to kill. Everybody else, just other threats to deal with.
  • Innocently Insensitive: When Eris meets a human from the My Hero Academia world for the first time (Mina), she asks if she's even human, much to Mina's pain as she feels hurt whenever someone is racist to her. And while Eris believed and said her appearance would be perfect in pretending to be a monster, Mina is less than amused.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: Or in Aizawa's case, Ms. Joke as well, a cigarette as he deals with the Kazuma Gang's antics and his students craziness.
  • I'm Your Biggest Fan: For better or worse, Aqua considers All Might her number one fan, who has no say in it because he's to nice. On the bright side, him being considered her number one fan and joining her cult causes many students in U.Z. aside from the main characters to join thus further empowering her. Had it not been for Visha, Stain himself would have joined.
  • I Warned You: Aqua knew Ainz and his crew was bad. But because of the rules of Isekai Quartet and Upper Mangament who ran the event, she couldn't get rid of them. Needless to say, after numerous worlds are gone, Upper Management, AKA the SOS Brigade should have allowed her to kill them.
  • Irony: Alucard's plan was very well thought out, but it never would have started without one person: Haruhi Suzumiya. Apparently, she began the Isekai Quartet and to even the vampire's shock, accepted his collaboration, with the Goddess thinking it would be fun. Numerous years later, this very collaboration crossover started this mess. Ironic indeed.
  • Ironic Death: The Maid Boss in Chapter 12 Kazuma and Darkness face states she killed Darkness's father. She constantly treats the heroes like trash and sees all human beings as something that should be killed. Kazuma and Uraraka, humans, end up being her downfall and death.
  • It's All My Fault: Aqua thinks this when it comes to light Ainz only came to the Konosuba world to get her and killing her friends Kazuma and the others. Everybody reassures her it's not her fault as the Tomb would have found their world eventually. Uraraka states the only thing she's at fault...is not finishing Ainz off sooner. Luckily, she and the others will help in finishing the deed.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While Bakugo was threatening the Kazuma Gang and Izuku, this is only because it's implied he to went on an adventure and thought the former were enemies as he doesn't recognize them from the first time, and Izuku was replacedby an enemy.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: In canon, Bakugo more or less got away with his bullying and torment of Deku with ease and Easily Forgiven, but later does try to atone a bit in the later chapters. When he died in this story, Yunyun shows that for being a bully, a tyrant, mocking weaker people and telling his only friend to die, he would instantly go to hell or if reincarnated, be a dog and not even a mid-sized one. He's not happy.
  • Kill the God: What Ainz and all his followers of the Tomb do. More importantly, what they wish to do to Aqua of all people. Reason? Because during Isekai Quartet, they learn Aqua is the only one capable of actually beating him up along with their powerful undead and demonic forces.
  • Kill All Humans: Not just humans, but anything that stands in the Lord of the Tombs way. One of the bosses 'Wolf Queen' even mentioning the group had destroyed a hundred worlds and killing billions. All to find Aqua.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: What Aqua and Eris are mad about, as Kazuma and Izuku's groups are sent back to their homes along with others like Yunyun and other MHA characters with their memories lost. Thinking they were unappreciated. Later subverted as Izuku still remembers, not that either know.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: The bosses Izuku and Kazuma's groups face are the Pleiades Battle Maids from the Tomb. Maids who show no guilt and sadistically enjoy killing humans and constantly treat them as trash and weaklings who deserve their fate. They're killed by humans much to the readers satisfaction.
  • Like Father, Like Son: Turns out, the reason Aqua is the way she is is because she inherits a lot of her traits from her mother, Haruhi herself. Admittingly, the two are very much alike in terms of personality.
  • Loophole Abuse: While upset she can't do the deed with Kazuma, Megumin decides to do something with him to at last satisfy her urges. Only holding off from actually doing vaginal sex as it will weaken her army but vows once the war with Nazerick is done, she'll do it. Later Inverted as Upper Management don't care about technicalities. Were it not for them doing good in killing the enemy, Smith would have taken away their immortality. Needless to say, Kazuma and Megumin do the deed the moment they're alone again.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Alucard does this to the Big Bad Ainz and Tanya, making the latter see the Konosuba Gang in worse light and hate them compared to the friendly relationship she has with them in the actual event.
  • Man Behind the Man: Word of God states that as powerful as Ainz is, someone else more powerful let him out. It's Alucard from Hellsing. What his agenda is, no one seems to know yet.
  • Missing Time: Apparently the Isekai Quartet event did happen, with Kazuma and the Gang seeing Ainz in school. Yet something causes everyone but Aqua to forget, who never said anything because she figured they just didn't want to talk about it. This also explains why the Maid Bosses know about them, yet still doesn't explain why only Aqua remembers.
  • Mortality Ensues: What will happen to Aqua much to her horror is she and the others don't stop Ainz. She doesn't want that as if she dies, then she will be Fading Away and won't be reborn. Something Kazuma agrees with as the two are friends.
  • Multiple Endings: Nighteye tells the Prime Minister and other people that he can see the future...and it isn't good. Explining that Ainz is coming and that most ends he sees are bad with many dead or go through hell as he viewed it. However, he does state that when someone makes contact with Aqua, then its avoided.
  • Multiversal Conqueror: Ainz becomes this after becoming a true Evil Overlord and wishes for Nazerick to be the Multiverse's true rulers.
  • My Greatest Failure: Haruhi feels this way when Belzerg and so many other worlds of her Division die out. Spending the last two centuries trying to fix it and laments how people like Iris who should be happy instead face a war.
  • My God, You Are Serious!: When All Might and Nezu tell Aizawa, Kan and Ms. Joke about the students going to an alternative world and that a great evil will come, they don't believe it as they think it's a joke. Their silence and proof of All Might's wounds make them realize that their really serious.
    • When Yunyun tells Sero he died, he thought it was a joke. A few seconds later, he realized she's serious.
  • Nay-Theist: Naofumi is this as when he first met Aqua, he instantly questioned if she was in league with Ainz. Having shown an anger for Gods in general and justified as he states he had to fight them for years in his home.
  • Not in This for Your Revolution: Visha isn't helping Ainz for his so-called glory and what-not. She's only in this because she obeys and willingly folllows Tanya, her savior.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Turns out when Mei set off the black hole, it wasn't just the Izuku Gang killed and sent to another world. Anybody near it like Bakugo, Iida, and Todoroki were also killed and sent to another world.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Being X decides to troll Tanya by taking control of Visha just because she survived all his tests and wouldn't bow to him. This causes Tanya to go to Ainz and soon, kill off all his followers and centuries from now, Tanya will be the Godslayer.
    • Later on in Alucard's Interlude Chapter, we find that Being X is actually the very same God that runs his world, and forcibly recruited Alucard to be a God to do his work or wipe away his world. This would cause his unwitting pawn to not only slowly gain full control of the Horror Division, but also begin a war against the heavens when the time came. Including him.
  • No Body Left Behind: Megumin subjects this to Epsilon and Zeta to their horror.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Aqua and Eris break a lot of rules, but saved many worlds. The Chief strips them of most of their powers and makes them mortal. Turns out though, the Chief only does this because as she calls it, 'stupid rules' and secretly wishes them luck to regain their titles and abilities.
  • Nothing Personal: Tanya does find Aqua to be incredibly stupid, but she doesn't hate her as Ainz does. Only aiding him out of obligation.
  • Nothing Is the Same Anymore: Upon going back in time, Izuku and Kazuma see things have changed because of Upper Management. Kazuma and his allies are in the MHA world with Yunyun and a grown Iris with them, Aqua and Eris now mortal. For Izuku, Bakugo acting strange and somehow knowing Yunyun and Iris with Mei in the Hero Course now.
  • Noodle Incident: Bakugo is implied to have also gone through an adventure like Izuku as he acts strangely when seeing the Kazuma Gang with Iris, Chris and Yunyun knowing him. Also something about a farm.
  • Not Quite Dead: Turns out Pandora's Actor wasn't even killed by Bakugo and Iris, but one of his doubles.
  • No-Sell: When Chisaki shoots All Might with a deletion bullet, Aqua fixes him up. When one of the Eight Yakuze creates his barrier, Aqua gets rid of it. Chisaki himself is shocked by her power.
  • Only Sane Man: Uraraka's apparent position in her party, especially compared to Kazuma and Darkenss.
  • Oh, Crap!:
    • The maids Epsilon and Zeta have this moment when Megumin reveals that she can set off more Explosion spells compared to before. They instantly try to kill her, only to be met with an Explosion.
    • Yuri Alpha has this when she realizes the Kazuma Gang is far stronger than they expected and attempts to retreat. Instead, Izuku punches her in half.
  • Out-of-Character Moment: When Eris thinks Aqua is going to berate her for breaking rules, she stands up to her and says she did what she had to do. Aqua doesn't mind and feels the same.
    • For anybody who knows Haruhi Suzimya, they'll feel weird seeing this serious, tough, and no-nonsense person. Turns out, it's all an act. Haruhi states she hates working for the Shounen department and wants to go back to comedy and romance, which is the Comedy Division's normal job.
    • Izuku notes this about Bakugo when he acts strangely and isn't as abresive from before. This is because Bakugo knows Yunyun and Iris and also had his own adventure.
  • Our Time Travel Is Different: This is what happens with Izuku and the others. As while they are indeed back in the past, undoubtedly because of the Higher Ups, things are slightly different. What's changed? The Kazuma Gang are here with them.
  • Out of Focus: Suburu and the rest of the Re:Zero gang suffer from this compared to the other Isekai Quartet representatives, only getting a brief introduction and a couple of mentions.
  • Outside-Context Problem: Played for laughs with Aqua as now that she's human, she has all the biological needs that come with being mortal. She has no idea how to use the restroom, which embarrasses and humiliates her when Megumin teaches her how. Safe to say Eris has the same problem.
  • Pals with Jesus: Haruhi made friends with many Gods, excluding the actual Jesus. Though she states that might be because she's part of the Japan Division while the real deal is elsewhere.
  • Person of Mass Construction: Aqua is this naturally. And when punished to rebuild part of the training grounds, she shows Cementoss that said punishment was pointless for her as she ignorantly makes a good building in under an hour to his shock.
  • Physical God: What Aqua is. Kazuma, Darkness, and Megumin kinda count. Though at best, Kazuma admits they might qualify as Demi-Gods as they were mortal before. In Season 2, Aqua, Eris and the Kazuma Gang are stripped of said title and are mortals.
    • There are gods above even Aqua, known as Upper Management. Turns out, it's the SOS Brigade from Haruhi Suzumiya' who run the Comedy Division of the Divine Realm.
  • Poor Communication Kills: When the Kazuma Gang see Aqua face Death Arms, his appearance and position make them think he's a villain along with Woods. Uraka is to late to warn them they're actually heroes as the Kazuma Gang beat them up where they learn Aqua accidently broke the rules of using her 'quirk' thus why she was confronted by Death Arms. Needless to say, the police show up.
    • Same thing happens again when Aqua says Naofumi was usually hanging out with Nazericks maids-in the Isekai Quartet world-causing Izuku to attack believing he was in league with the Overlords. It's eventually settled out with Kazuma lampshading that Aqua's phrasing can be problematic at times.
  • Pyrrhic Victory:
    • Big time in Chapter 17. Izuku and Kazuma along with their friends defeat and kill the enemy, but at the cost of everybody else in the world dead. However, it's later subverted as someone from Upper Management can apparently 'rollback' the event.
    • Happens again in Chapter 32 with Bakugo, Komekko and everyone including Iris dead. And while they did drive Demiurge away, Belzerg and the planet is still full of monsters. But thanks to Haruhi, until Iris gets back from the My Hero Academia World her world is on pause.
  • The Reveal: In Chapter 37, All Might and Izuku tell Inko and Mei's sister the truth of what is going on, Izuku's Quirk, and so on. Where later in the chapter Nighteye comes and explains that the future is uncertain.
  • Rage Against the Heavens: Once Alucard discovers what most Gods really are like, his pedestal of them is forever ruined and despises them all for their constant 'playing' of humanity. He wishes to gather those like Tanya the Evil to help out and end the Gods reign once and for all.
  • Reality Warper: A deity presence in a world alters the fundamental laws of that world to resemble those of the deity's realm. It's normally unnoticeable due them staying in their realms, but at times it happens:
    • Once upon a time there was a world that was supposed to host a simple "slice of life" story. Then Suzumiya Haruhi was born there as the Goddess of Comedy, and the rest is history.
    • When Aqua finds herself in Musutafu violent crimes that spark conflict immediately start going down while funny mishaps increase exponentially, plus more romantic relationships blossom due her being a shipper.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure : John Smith of Upper Management decides to let Kazuma, Megumin, Darkness little bed play lie as they've done a good job in taking out many of the Tombs forces. However, he also tells them not to push their luck.
  • Re-Power: King Kai gives All Might back his full strength plus a little extra.
  • Reluctant Warrior: When Iris wants to go back to Belzerg, Kazuma is less than reluctant as everyone he knows is gone and enjoys the MHA world. After Iris Bitch Slaps him and leaves, Kazuma then hears from Megumin she's going if only to see her little sister who's still alive and Komekko's new family. Kazuma then joins in for her sake.
  • Redemption Equals Death: A downplayed and averted case as Wiz herself was never evil, but was growing more violent. After helping Eri, but then ret-conned and turned to a corpse, she's then later brought back to life.
  • Red Baron: Bakugo earned the title Dragon Knight of Belzerg during his actions there.
  • Reset Button: Smith from Upper Management does this, saving the lives of those who died and states Izuku and the others saved the world somehow. They are then sent back home, though retain their memory of the events. The same happened to the other MHA kids who saved other worlds with other heroes.
  • RPG Mechanics 'Verse: Averted! Contrary to what Kazuma and his friends thought, the world they're on has no such RPG and level mechanisms.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Averted hard! Due to the Higher Ups, both Wiz and Vanir to those in the My Hero Academia world think the Kazuma Gang are their parents. Kazuma takes offense to the idea.
    • Later on, it's revealed that it's none other than Haruhi that's the mother of Aqua herself. Though its heavily implied Aqua is unaware of this relationship with Haruhi admitting she didn't feel like a mom as Aqua was 'born' an adult. Though despite this, Haruhi does her very best to keep Aqua alive and making her mortal was the best way she could do so when Aqua broke many rules to save another world.
  • Really 700 Years Old: The Kazuma Gang along with Yunyun are very old as they stayed in heaven for a long time to the point of now being powerful, but low-level, deities.
    • Megumin's sister Komekko is also over 200 years old with Iris-though she did not age in stasis-being also over 200.
  • Retired Monster: Tanya internally reveals she wants to quit fighting Gods and other beings, and relax with Visha and have a peaceful life after. Only working with Ainz out of obligation to help him kill Aqua and then either live out a nice life after or even die peacefully.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Iris is the last of Belzerg's royalty. Instead of hiding being scared, she instead trains, put herself in cyro-sleep, then vows to end Demiurige for killing her family and ruining her home. She can even fight Bakugo on even terms.
  • Seen It All: The Kazuma Gang has been through so much, when summoned in a room with powerful, influential, and strong heroes and officers, they don't even flinch. Instead seeing it as another thing they do.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: What Aqua and Eris believe in. Neither goddess has a problem with breaking rules to save their friends and followers. Eris violented several to save Belzerg, and Aqua praised her for it. Aqua even tells Aizawa she doesn't care if he told her not to heal Midoriya, as he's her friend and will heal him even if it means expulsion.
    • Aqua and Izuku do this when Iida's brother [[spoiler: dies'' and brings him and another hero back to life. Both only getting minor punishment for it.
  • Shell-Shocked Veteran: Despite all the students seemingly being fine, they aren't entirely. Izuku and Mei are both shown to have recurring nightmares of the wars they went through, and it's just as likely the rest of the students like Bakugo have their own troubles despite their victories. All Might himself admits he has them, and sadly, for some heroes its a normal thing to feel.
  • She's All Grown Up: Iris is much older with Kazuma himself unsure who she is when he first met her in Season 2. She's old enough to be in the Hero Course.
  • Shout-Out:
    • It's said all but in name that the enemies Izuku and Kazuma face are from Overlord . Confirmed in chapter 14.
    • Kazuma invokes this by talking about Batman, Mr. Freeze, and the Terminator. Sadly in the MHA world, nobody even knows of such references with the closest they have is a hero named Batman but being completely different.
    • Alucards plan is similar to Gilgamesh's plan of Fate/Stay Night in ending the Age of God so humanity can rise. The difference, it'll affect the multiverse and not in a good way.
  • Squashed Flat: What Kazuma combined with Uraraka do to some of the Maid bosses.
  • Ship Tease: Lots of it here and there.
    • Izuku x Mei.
    • Darkness x Tokoyami.
    • Kyon and Yuki Nagato.
    • Mina x Kirishima with the former having a crush on the latter.
    • Yunyun with Sero.
    • Bakugo and Iris much to Kazuma's horror.
    • Kazuma and Megumin, who are now dating.
    • Mineta and Felt somehow get together.
    • All Might and Wiz.
  • Shipper on Deck:
    • Surprisingly, Haruhi Suzimya thought Kazuma and Aqua would be perfect and tried shipping them. Instead, they became hetrosexual life partners.
    • Haruhi and Vanir are into All Might and Wiz.
  • Skewed Priorities: Instead of fearing a horrible end if Nazerick comes to earth, the Kazuma Gang fear debt more. Though it's justified as they point out why being in debt such as they'll go hungry, won't have money to get important supplies, and so on. Where at least in death they don't have to worry about such things.
  • Slowly Slipping Into Evil: The reason why Aqua dislikes Wiz, is because ultimately all Liches, even good ones like Wiz, will fall into this trope. Aqua telling Izuku she's an abomination that upsets Gods will while implying she won't keep her humanity forever, further evidenced by Wiz herself who admits to All Might that ever since Ainz came and all the bad things occurring she feels her humanity slipping and becoming more violent. Thankfully, she becomes human soon after saving Eri.
  • Sole Survivor: Demiurge tried to kill off the Belzerg royal family and succeeded...except for Iris who escaped. Of course, Demiurge thinks nothing bad would come from that.
  • Stronger Sibling: When Bakugo mentions Komekko, he says she was very powerful. Megumin herself says she's happy for her sibling and admits she has become a more powerful mage than even her.
  • Summon Bigger Fish:
    • Apparently after Nazarick having destroyed numerous worlds, Gods, and innocent beings, according to Rista Upper Management of the heavenly realm decides to aid in the war which actually causes Nazarick to be pushed back!
    • The reason other Divisions don't help Haruhi and her Comedy Division is because if they do, it's the excuse Alucard needs to summon even worse creatures than Ainz. Though later chapters with King Kai states that they may have to do it anyway to stop his plan.
  • Talking in Your Dreams: Aqua can speak to her followers in their dreams. Thus how she was easily able to get in contact with All Might and Izuku to help her out in saving Eri.
  • Taking Advantage of Generosity: Wiz and Vanir are attempting to make profit in the MHA world. Sadly, Wiz's new skills and business sense is back to zero hear since it involves snacks and hero stuff. To make up for it, Vanir has All Might try to get their image up.
  • Tears of Joy: Aqua has these when All Might says he is a believer in her faith, making him her first follower by a technicality in this world.
    • Aizawa also has this when he sees a beautiful drawing Aqua made...then becomes irritated as she drew on a math test and fails her, while keeping the drawing.
  • This Cannot Be!:
    • When both Iris and Bakugo meet Pandora's Actor, and slowly end up beating him, Ainz's son, who is unable to even hurt them, could only scream at how Iris is stronger than before getting killed.
    • All Might's death is this, as those who saw tried denying with others crying. Word of God also states that millions at home saw this, and were in a similar state. Thankfully, Aqua fixes it.
  • True Companions: The Kazuma Gang as a whole has this. While they still bicker and fight with one another, they are much more caring and closer compared to the early days. More so with Aqua as she before didn't care about friends but now wants to spend time with Kazuma and the others. Even after becoming mortal and is devastated by it, she admits to still being happy to be with them in UA.
    • The same is applied to the SAO Bridge, when Haruhi asked her friends if they wanted normal lives, but they stuck with her as even with all the crazyness and drama, they love being with her.
  • Took a Level in Badass: The Kazuma gang in general. After defeating the Demon King, then fighting against the Lord of the Tombs's minions the first time, all four have become stronger in their own way.
    • Extra to Darkness. Due to the new world not following game rules, she can now hit things much more easily.
    • Izuku and Uraraka. The former capable of using One For All much more easily thanks to Aqua's healing and being her 'Champion'. The latter utilizing her Quirk much more dangerously and similarly to Toga during the LoV and Liberation war.
    • Many students of Class 1-A also have acquired magic, such as Iida and Yaoyorozu picking up new skills and spells.
    • Yunyun is also more powerful and even became a deity.
    • Princess Iris and Komekko are also a heck lot stronger during they're time in the ruined world of Belzerg. The latter easily putting both Bakugo and Iris to sleep without any problem and has gone through countless battles for 200 years.
  • Turn to Religion: When Aqua revives Iida's brother and another hero, many people convert to her religion. However, the biggest one is Eri, who as canon follows is living miserably under Overhaul. When one of his men brings her an Aqua Nendoroid, she bonds with it and prays to it. This indirictly causes Aqua to sense her and would then go help her later on.
  • Underestimating Badassery: The Overlord Cast does this to all their enemies. Seeing them as weaklings due to their inherit strength and planning to kill those who actually do threaten them. This causes their downfall numerous times against Izuku's gang and Kazuma's gang, particularly the latter as they were unaware of them becoming more powerful without the RPG rules. Sebas and the Pleiades Maids all show shock when they are defeated and ultimately dead by the heroes hands.
    • Mei states that Izuku and everyone back in the other world defeated the forces of Nazerick, and believes they can do so again in their world. All Might quickly tells her even if they defeated Nazerick then, the average people here won't have it as easy. Not to mention, they only faced the less powerful enemies.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Haruhi is one of the most powerful Gods of all, ascending by pure power to Godhood and in her words, runs the energy of the entire Comedy Division. However, against those with equal power or capable of fighting back, then she isn’t as good with King Kai from Dragonball admitting she's still a young inexperienced Goddess.
  • Unstoppable Rage: Combined with Heroic B So D, when Izuku and Kazuma's respective allies leave the city...they are horrified when Sebas along with Yuri Alpha and Omega kill all the people they knew, became friends, their followers, and protected! This causes them to battle them and while tough, to the enemies shock they are unable to deal with Quirks, the unique combo moves, and the heroes utter fury before they are all killed.
  • Unexpected Character: We see Kyubey as one of the Horror Division Gods.
  • Vacation, Dear Boy: The Danmachi universe is a vacation spot for the Gods all over.
  • Villain Team-Up: Tanya busts out Overhaul and gives him the opportunity to help her get revenge and accomplish his gials. He accepts, and is under contract with her.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Bakugo and Iris do not get along at first. But after their adventure both respect each other with Iris acknowledging Bakugo's strength and Bakugo becoming her 'Shield' and later much to his surprise, fiancé.
  • What Does She See in Him?: Apparently during Bakugo's adventure, he met Iris who not only made him her sworn shield and 'Prince of the Sword', but according to her, he became her fiance. Kazuma is shocked and why she chose him. Bakugo, however, appears just as surprised as everyone else that he's engaged to a queen.
  • War Is Hell: What the MHA kids realize and what the Kazuma Gang felt when they first faced the Tomb.
  • What the Hell, Hero?:
    • The Goddess Ristarte gives one to Kazuma which is justified. Stating that while the Tomb are powerful enemies, Kazuma and his gang have done nothing but play games instead of actually learning and training in the heavenly realm. Also that Aqua and Megumin stealing her followers isn't good, as it weakens her as she battles the Tomb forces. Telling him to either get them to stop, or she'll deal with them personally herself.
    • AQUA of all people does this to Smith of Upper Management. Stating they should help people, not leave them to die. He does something to help out.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Inverted. Ainz states to Visha and Tanya that he wishes to kill all Gods because they control humanity and shackle them, and will take their place as a Benevolent Boss...In the present, we see that's a lie as he kills Gods who are solely good and destroys many worlds and tortures numerous innocents who are in his way.
  • Wham Episode: It's not just the Kazuma Gang in the My Hero Academia world, but in Chapter 22 a mention of characters from Re: Zero and Rising of the Shield Hero are also here.
    • Alucard's Interlude is this as it answers many questions of how the war between worlds, Ainz, and so on is answered.
    • Haruhi's Interlude explains her side of the story and even the origins of Aqua alongside her rise to Godhood.
    • Later on in Chapter 37, Tanya along with the elf twins come to hunt Aqua and observe the MHA world.
  • What Were You Thinking?: When Kazuma and Megumin meet John Smith of Upper Management, he questions why the Chief made Aqua as she causes trouble. Turns out it was accidental.
  • When She Smiles: What Haruhi wants for Iris to do again after all she went through. Stating that this is what her Comedy Division is all about, making people of all sorts from man to demi-beast smile.
  • Wowing Cthulhu: Demiurge admits to liking humans modern day tech. He uses this to his advantage against others.
  • Worthy Opponent: While All Might is strong, he is still vastly weaker than Goku. However, the man still gives All Might respect and saying he was a good fighter, with All Might feeling the same.
  • Wrong Context Magic: Izuku and his friends 'Quirks' can be considered this. Due to the fact they aren't magic despite others believing so, and operating under different rules. This has both benefits and possible consequences depending how they're used.
