Thanks to the introduction of Edwin Chaos into the world of Yu-Gi-Oh!, many Duelists find their fates altered.

    open/close all folders

The Chaos Crew

Formed during Battle City, Edwin and his direct friends are far more willing to resort to morally gray actions in order to protect those they care about.

    Edwin Chaos

Edwin Chaos, formerly the Guardian Devil

Decks: Endymion (primary), Lair, Starry Knight, Kaiju, Ghostrick, Mythical Beast

A 35-year-old man from our world who suddenly finds himself as a 20-year-old in the world of Yu-Gi-Oh!, Edwin finds himself having to navigate the Dueling world while juggling his future knowledge and his more pragmatic views. As the story unfolds, he is entrusted with the Millennium Key and replaces the Big Five as the newly merged KaibaCorp/Industrial Illusions Board of Directors.

During Battle City, it is revealed he is the reincarnation of Endymion, a Greek Mage who threatened Egypt and used a relic called the Chaos Stone to steal magic from others in his quest to become a god.

  • Animal Motifs: Two of them for Edwin:
    • Wolves. Edwin is a Papa Wolf and is shown to growl in anger when his friends are hurt, refer to his group as 'his pack', and refer to himself as an Alpha.
    • Dragons. Two of Edwin's boss monsters, which represent the Light and Dark in his heart, are Dragons. He also takes on dragon elements in the virtual world to defeat the Big 5.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Edwin becomes fiercely protective of Mokuba when they team up in Duelist Kingdom. Threatening the kid immediately gets him livid.
  • Guile Hero: Edwin relies on his foreknowledge and his wits to solve problems and achieve his goals with less effort and time.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Edwin Chaos is foul-mouthed, prone to lying, sarcastic, and willing to use dubious means to achieve his goals, but truly wishes to help those in need and is protective of children. His cynicism doesn’t stop him from believing the world can become a better place if people are willing to try.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Edwin probably has the filthiest mouth of any of the characters. During Duelist Kingdom, the 4Kids censor tried to keep him under control. But in the Virtual World arc, after being trapped for months without sleep and watching the Big Five attack Mokuba, Edwin broke the censor, allowing him to curse as much as he wished.
  • That Man Is Dead: After a Near-Death Experience in Chapter 99 puts things into perspective for him, he discards the mantle of the Guardian Devil, embracing the image of an angel that his late mother sees him as. The Pharaoh, however, seems to have chosen to take up the mantle himself.
  • Thinking Up Portals: Thanks to his Millennium Key, Edwin can turn any doorway into a portal, so long as he can visualize the destination. He weaponizes this often.

    Mai Valentine

Mai Valentine, 2-time Eurasian Champion

Decks: Harpie Lady, Amazon

A seasoned gamer who's as skilled and cunning as she is beautiful. In the original canon, Mai was a friendly rival of Yugi's group who fell upon hard times after Battle City. Thanks to Edwin's presence, Mai has worked to become a better person, and falls in love with Edwin in Duelist Kingdom before becoming his official girlfriend in Battle City.

She is also the human persona of the Greek Titan Selene, who is obsessed with turning Edwin into a god and abandoning Earth.

  • I Have Many Names: Early on, it's mentioned that Mai Valentine is the latest in a long line of aliases, but she's grown attached to her current one. Chapter 116 reveals that her birth name is Miranda Roberts.
  • The Runaway: According to her backstory, Mai ran away to escape her overly controlling guardians and to fulfill her dreams.

    Renard Volpe

Renard Volpe, European Duelist Champion

Decks: Fur Hire

An original character, an honest and fair gentleman and dreamer who first appeared as head of Pegasus's Eliminators. He struck up a friendship with Edwin in Duelist Kingdom, and after the events on the island painted a massive target on his back, Renard was hired as Edwin's full-time bodyguard.

  • Animal Motifs: Both of his names mean "fox."
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Renard is warm, well-mannered, something of a romantic, and often the straight man to Edwin's antics. He's also a skilled martial artist and, if necessary, an expert torturer.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: It's still ambiguous exactly what he went through. What is known is that someone used his loved ones as leverage against him, he lost all of them, and he has developed a very particular set of skills that make him a nightmare for people who threaten his newfound friends.
  • Not So Stoic: He takes learning about magic, gods, ancient spirits, and even alternate universes in stride; almost nothing fazes him. But everything involving Corpse-Man leaves him increasingly flabbergasted.

    Yuri Gardner

Yuri Gardner

Decks: Dark World

An original character, the older half-sister of Tea Gardner, formerly a detective for the Domino Police Department working for the police chief, their father. Sickened to the core of the corruption, her father's attempted murder of Edwin after Duelist Kingdom destroyed any hope of advancing her career. Yuri quit the force right before Battle City, and became Mai's bodyguard.

  • Big Damn Heroes: She manages to knock out her father before he can slice Edwin’s throat. However, she still arrived too late to keep him from stabbing Edwin in the stomach, requiring help from Mokuba to keep Edwin alive.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: While under the control of Aiden Order's Millennium Rod, she was little more than a puppet obeying his commands.
  • Instant Expert: Courtesy of Aiden Order, who uses the Millennium Rod to implant knowledge of Dueling and martial arts into her mind.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Surrounded by corrupt cops, she's hated her job for a long time. She clings to it even after she's demoted to grunt work. But when one of the corrupt cops tries framing her for a couple of bricks of missing cocaine, she finally has enough. She resigns then and there, outright lighting her desk on fire and smacking around a few cops before walking out of the station for good.
  • Token Good Cop: She seems to be the only detective in the Domino City Police who's not swayed by people with a lot of money and influence telling the police what crimes they can and can't investigate. She endures this for months after her sister's kidnapping upsets the balance of the city, up until the police chief, her own father, tries to murder the whistle-blower for refusing to change his story. Weeks later, when other cops try to make trouble for her by 'misplacing' a couple of bricks of cocaine in an inventory assigned to her, she finally gave them a piece of her mind and walked out. Fortunately, she found new employment shortly thereafter as Mai Valentine's bodyguard.

    Troy

Troy

An artificial intelligence created when Edwin used the Millennium Key to unlock his phone, it quickly developed sentience and often provides appropriate musical accompaniment for Edwin's circumstances. Partway through Battle City, he gained the ability to project a physical body.

  • Big Damn Heroes: His first manifestation is the only reason that Edwin and company escape from Wyatt Chaos at the start of The Chaos Contract. He stops Wyatt from killing Mai/Selene. He tricks the Ishtars into fighting Wyatt. He stalls Wyatt until they arrive. And he contacts Annie to open a dimensional gate for them to escape through.
  • Expy: He's named after Troy Barnes from Community, with Edwin seeing himself as Abed. Likewise, his physical form resembles that character's actor, Donald Glover.
  • The Gadfly: His musical selections are usually appropriate. But they're frequently rather cheeky as well, to Edwin's annoyance.

Yugi and Co

A group of teenagers who have found themselves drawn into the dark secrets of the Millennium Items and the Shadow Realm. Thanks to Edwin's guidance, they have all grown far beyond their canon selves, seeing that the world isn't black and white.

    Yugi Muto

Yugi Muto

Decks: Dark Magician (primary), Gaia, Buster Blader, Magnet Warrior

The bearer of The Millennium Puzzle and one-half of the current King of Games, Yugi remains positive and hopeful that he and his friends can save everyone. Thanks to some encouragement, Yugi finally admitted his feelings for Tea, and the two are currently dating.

    The Pharaoh

The Pharaoh, a.k.a. Yami Yugi

Decks: Dark Magician (primary), Gaia, Buster Blader, Magnet Warrior

The Spirit of the Millennium Puzzle and one-half of the current King of Games, the Pharaoh seeks to discover the secrets of his past. He and Edwin butted heads frequently throughout Duelist Kingdom and Battle City due to differing views, but the shared desire to protect those they care for eventually leads them to be friends.

  • Afraid of Their Own Strength: Heavily implied to be the reason that the Millennium Puzzle is seemingly the most impotent of the Millennium Items besides being the Pharaoh's Soul Jar: Edwin urges both Yugis to tap into the item's power, but they don't...until Yami Ishizu imprisons Yugi in a Lotus-Eater Machine, leaving the Pharaoh with too little time and too few options to do anything else. And when he comprehends what power the puzzle has, he finds that it's definitely something to fear.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Zigzagged. Yes, there's the fact that of the main canon heroes, he's the only one who kills (or sends to the Shadow Realm) their opponents. But this mainly applies to the fact that he's the only one who outright mistrusts and vilifies Edwin in Duelist Kingdom. And while he has a Heel Realization when Yugi breaks down his reasoning, it still takes a while for the two of them to truly trust each other.

    Joey Wheeler

Joey Wheeler

Decks: Red-Eyes (formerly), Poker Knights (primary), Zombie

A former delinquent who became Yugi's best friend, Joey became a Duelist to help pay for his sister's eye surgery. Brash, selfish, and immature despite his heart being in the right place, he was forced to learn and grow throughout both Duelist Kingdom and Battle City, and learns properly under instruction from Solomon Muto.

  • Idiot Hero: Harshly deconstructed as his reckless and thoughtless actions caused him considerable suffering. On top of that, he is generally shown far less respect due to being slow on the uptake. He hits rock bottom after losing the first round of Battle City, but has been improving ever since.
  • Open Mouth, Insert Foot: In a fit of frustration, shortly after suffering a Curb-Stomp Battle against Kaiba, Joey ends up insulting Edwin’s late mother. The result? Edwin wanders off shellshocked, Mai gives him an Indignant Slap and loses any potential interest in him, and he causes tension within his group.

    Tea Gardner

Tea Gardner

Decks: The Agents

Yugi's first friend and current girlfriend, she dreams of being a professional dancer. Thanks to a trip to Earth-2 and the meddling of Edwin's counterpart, Aiden Order, Tea had knowledge of Duel Monsters forced into her mind, allowing her to become a skilled Duelist. Spending more time with Edwin and Mai, along with seeing her father's actions, has shown her the world isn't as rosy and kind as she thought. As such, this Tea is far less forgiving and more willing to suggest aggression.

  • Brainwashed and Crazy: While under the control of Aiden Order's Millennium Rod, she was little more than a puppet obeying his commands.

    Tristan Taylor

Tristan Taylor

Decks: Machina

Joey's oldest friend and another former delinquent, Tristan repented his bullying ways when Yugi saved him. Thanks to his trip to Earth-2 and the actions of Edwin's evil counterpart Aiden Order, Tristan now has Duel Monsters knowledge in his brain, allowing him to become a skilled Duelist.

  • Brainwashed and Crazy: While under the control of Aiden Order's Millennium Rod, he was little more than a puppet obeying his commands.
  • Secretly Wealthy: Not to the mind-blowing extent that Kaiba and Edwin are, but his family's lucrative furniture business means he's quite well-off; the only reason he doesn't spend more money openly is that he knows Joey would resent it.

Domino City Citizens

Sometimes allies, sometimes foes, the people of Domino and the surrounding areas prove that even the most minor of characters are willing to give up their time and money in order to play a children's card game.

    Seto Kaiba

Seto Kaiba

Decks: Blue-Eyes, ABC

President of KaibaCorp, a master of games who had risen to be the best in Japan until he met Yugi and the Pharaoh. Though no longer evil, he remains proud and ruthless in pursuit of proving his superiority. An acquaintance of Yugi and his friends, he's largely cold and aloof, but professional due to his brother's friendliness with them, especially Edwin.

  • Flat-Earth Atheist: As in the 4Kids dub, Kaiba refuses to believe in magic. The truth repeatedly stares him naked in the face, and he always finds an excuse to dismiss it. However, he has no issue believing in theoretical concepts with an actual scientific basis, like the multiverse theory.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: To some extent, mostly stemming from Mokuba becoming a Duelist and entering Battle City. He swallows his pride frequently to make Mokuba happy, is genuinely happy for him when he advances to the next round, and spends an hour consoling him and talking about their parents after he loses to Edwin.

    Mokuba Kaiba

Mokuba Kaiba

Decks: Ice Barrier

Seto's younger brother, Vice President of KaibaCorp, and a skilled gamer in his own right. Saving him from Pegasus was Edwin's second act in breaking canon, and Mokuba subsequently bonded with Edwin akin to another brother. After Duelist Kingdom, when he receives the Ice Barrier Deck from Pegasus (due to Edwin's accidental meddling), he becomes a Duelist and enters Battle City.

    Maximillion Pegasus

Maximillion Pegasus

Decks: Toon, Restrict

President of Industrial Illusions, the creator of Duel Monsters, and the main antagonist of Duelist Kingdom. Pegasus's obsession with finding a way to bring his wife back from the dead led to him acquiring the Millennium Eye. Driven mad by its power, he sought to take over KaibaCorp to acquire its hologram technology. After losing the eye and facing criminal charges, Pegasus turned over a new leaf, becoming an ally of Yugi and his friends and merging his company with KaibaCorp as a peace offering.

  • The Atoner: While it's played up for the world at large, Pegasus genuinely is this after Duelist Kingdom.
  • Not Disabled in VR: When the story enters Noah's Arc, Pegasus is among those drawn into the virtual world. And his face there is restored to how it was before he received the Millennium Eye: no scars, tears, nor swelling, just two normal and healthy eyes.

    Corpse-Man

Corpse-Man, a.k.a. Zygor, the greatest hero in Domino

Decks: Vendread

A side character from canon who was a crony of Bandit Keith. After being bitten by Bonz (and suffering some head trauma that might have resulted in brain damage), Zygor decided he'd gained the powers of a zombie and became Corpse-Man, the world's first Dueling Superhero.

  • Beware the Silly Ones: He may be clinically insane, but he wields the Vendreads with enough skill that Renard has to take him seriously as an opponent.

    Grandma Kaiba

Grandma Kaiba

Decks: Chicken

Seto and Mokuba's adopted grandmother, she really likes chicken and has no problem Dueling to get it.

Rare Hunters

    "Seeker"

Ogden Winniehammer, a.k.a. Rare Hunter or Seeker

Decks: Exodia, Zombie World

The first of Marik's loyal servants to appear, and the weakest of the Rare Hunters, he defeated Joey and stole his Red-Eyes Black Dragon before the Battle City tournament began.

  • Adaptational Badass: Subverted. Yes, he gets another Deck that's far more impressive than his counterfeit Exodia Deck, but in the end, he leaned too heavily on psychological warfare, allowing Joey to win their rematch.
  • Dirty Coward: The Decks he uses are designed to overwhelm the opponent psychologically. If the opponent has enough mental fortitude, he's pretty much powerless.
  • Named by the Adaptation: He never got a name in the anime or manga, just being called Rare Hunter or, in a few video games, Seeker. In this story, the database shows his name is Ogden Winniehammer, and Joey remarks it's no wonder he went by just Rare Hunter.

    Cabal

Catherine, a.k.a. Cabal

Decks: Dark Magician

A skilled illusionist and Arkana's former partner, both in love and business, she serves Marik in a desperate hope of freeing her lover from his coma.

    Eugene and Evelyn Prince

Eugene and Evelyn Prince

Decks: Monarch

A brother and sister duo who behave as aristocrats, they serve Marik in expectation of him restoring their noble inheritance.

The Old KaibaCorp

The antagonists who were the most powerful figures in KaibaCorp before Seto entered the picture, they have sought revenge on him ever since, with their efforts peaking in Noah's Arc.

    Gozaburo Kaiba

Gozaburo Kaiba

The tyrannical CEO of the military KaibaCorp and Seto and Mokuba's stepfather who took them in after losing a game of chess to Seto. A harsh taskmaster and ruthless businessman, Seto manipulated the Big Five and his own brother to take over the company. Gozaburo disappeared afterward; his survival is known only to Edwin.

  • Awesome by Analysis: The Big Five are incredibly dangerous and incredibly competent business moguls. And Gozaburo outclasses all of them combined.
    • Nezbitt put together a fake set of interviews with Gozaburo's references, edited masterfully with his technical knowhow. Gozaburo sees through them immediately.

    Noah Kaiba

Noah Kaiba

Seto and Mokuba's stepbrother, the only biological son of Gozaburo Kaiba, and rightful heir to KaibaCorp. After a devastating car accident when he was a child, his father digitized his mind in an attempt to give him a new life. Endeavors to give him a new body never came to fruition, and Noah has remained the lord and prisoner of his virtual world and the mechanical fortress that supports it ever since. He is the main antagonist of Noah's Arc.

  • Adaptational Badass: Noah was a credible threat in canon, but he had all the arrogance of a spoiled little rich boy who held all the power. Here, he's savvy enough to neutralize Kaiba and Edwin as threats immediately, and he doesn't bring Yugi and the Pharaoh into the Virtual World at all.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: In a one-on-one talk with Edwin in Chapter 116, Noah explicitly refrains from mocking him about his mother's death, knowing that kind of pain firsthand.
  • I've Come Too Far: One conversation with Edwin is almost enough to make Noah reconsider his entire scheme. But with the finish line in sight, Noah regains his bravado and resolve as soon as he leaves Edwin's presence.
  • Really 700 Years Old: In the real world, Noah's time in the virtual world has spanned somewhere between ten and twenty years. But the virtual world's time dilation has possibly made it millennia, and while he's implied to have full control over the scale of dilation, it's also outright stated that the month or two between the Legendary Heroes arc and Noah's Arc spanned centuries.

    Gansley

Gansley

Eldest and de facto leader of the Big Five, KaibaCorp's former board of directors, vice-president of business strategy.

    Crump

Adrian Randolph Crump III

One of the Big Five, KaibaCorp's former board of directors, head of accounting and human resources.

    Johnson

Johnson

One of the Big Five, KaibaCorp's former board of directors, an expert lawyer and the company's legal advisor.

    Nezbitt

Anthony Nezbitt

One of the Big Five, KaibaCorp's former board of directors, chief technical engineer of weaponry and virtual technology. He uses an avatar of Aria Potts to fight for him in Noah's Arc, forcing Joey to defeat his old partner, the Red-Eyes Black Dragon.

  • Arms Dealer: It means less than it usually does since KaibaCorp was a military company before Seto took over, but Nezbitt makes it perfectly clear just how involved he was in the old business.
  • Bait-and-Switch: Played with when he puts up a facade of calling Joey to a court date to deceive him into thinking he'll be Dueling Johnson instead. While Joey doesn't know one of the Big Five from the others, it works to deceive the readers since Johnson was the one Joey faced in the anime.
  • Deader than Dead: His fate after losing the Duel against Joey, and attempting to cheat Noah. The Kaiba heir deletes him piece by painful piece; by the time he fades, he can't even remember his own name.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: He dislikes being called Tony.
  • Entertainingly Wrong: He gives Joey entirely too much credit, initially trying to bluff him into thinking he's facing Johnson, and later reconsidering falling for his trash talk due to thinking he was trying to get him to let his guard down. In reality, Joey wouldn't know one member of the Big Five from any other and was just speaking from the heart. He's smart enough to realize that Nezbitt is reading far too much into things.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: He chose to use the Red-Eyes archetype against Joey because he knew what the dragon meant to him. But not only was Joey not using a Red-Eyes deck himself anymore, he still knew all the ins and outs of it, allowing him to predict Nezbitt's champion's every move and overcome her.
  • Lack of Empathy: He sees no virtue in emotions or humanity, and indeed, he believes slavery was a good thing.
  • Named by the Adaptation: He was only known by his surname in the original dub.
  • Never My Fault: Nezbitt denies any responsibility for what people did with the weapons he provided, seemingly believing himself innocent since he's never the one who pulls the trigger.
  • Techno Wizard: Nezbitt is the one who created the Virtual World, designing everything from the gravity and physics to the biology and emotional responses of human programs. It comes to light that he was sourest about the company's redirection because it meant that his software, which had been meant to perfectly demonstrate the effectiveness of weapons without real-world testing, was repurposed as a child's plaything.

    Leichter

Leichter

One of the Big Five, KaibaCorp's former board of directors, Gozaburo's right-hand man.

Others

    Bruno Hadrian

Bruno Hadrian

Decks: Frogs

A sociopathic boy who initially appeared as one of Pegasus's Eliminators in Duelist Kingdom.

  • Older Than They Look: Pegasus mentions in Chapter 57 that he had a serious illness when he was younger, and the chemotherapy to treat it caused his pituitary gland to go dormant. In other words, Bruno is an adult who never went through puberty.

    Ken Gardner

Ken Gardner

Téa and Yuri's father and former chief of the Domino City Police. Though he used to be a respectable officer, he became a prime example of the sort of corporate bootlicker that he used to despise, much to his family's disgust.

  • Corrupt Cop: One of many, but by far the worst.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Téa hasn't forgiven her father for everything he did, including trying to murder Edwin, but she still loves him. He, in turn, regularly writes her, and she's brought to tears from his fervent and genuine praise of her making it past the Battle City preliminaries.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Even after Yuri disowns him, he sees nothing wrong with all the crooked acts he did, from fraud and coverups to attempted murder, because his motivation for all of it was keeping his family safe.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Albeit extremely myopic. He sees nothing wrong with lying, cheating, and even murdering if it means maintaining his family's financial stability.

    Susan Marison

Susan Marison

Decks: Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon

A young woman that Ishizu implanted the memories of Kisara into in hopes of using her against Seto. However Ishizu didn't realize that Susan was a mentally disturbed stalker who had violently attacked multiple people and escaped an asylum. She is now obsessed with Seto.

    Brom Bones

Brom Bones

Decks: Wight (Skull Servant)

A wise and mysterious man known as a world-class Duelist and therapist, his psychoanalytical skills have scared many away from the pro circuit. First alluded to at the end of Duelist Kingdom, he enters the story as one of the qualifiers for Battle City.

He's soon revealed as an ancient, nameless god of death who grew weary of destruction, and donned a visage of mortality to turn his existence to healing instead.

  • Don't Fear the Reaper: The man's entire character. He's as gentle as he is powerful, and while he readily opens old wounds, it's only to help heal them properly.

    Enigma

Enigma

Decks: The Fallen of Albaz

A mysterious armored figure from the multiverse who is the main antagonist of the Into the Chaosverse arc. The only certainty of his motivations is his desire to kill all Chaoses.

  • Know When to Fold 'Em: When Edwin outwits him by having Aiden Order brainwash his army of Dueltroopers, he accepts that he's outmatched and teleports away.
  • The Stoic: Almost completely unflappable and never raises his voice, he remains calm in any circumstances, whether dealing with Edwin's juvenile taunts or punishing his subordinates with lightning torture.

    Entropy

Entropy

An almighty entity from the multiverse, he hired Wyatt Chaos to hunt down the other Chaoses and, upon Wyatt's defeat, promised to pit the Chaoses against each other in a tournament.

The Chaosverse

As there is a universe for any possibility, so there are different incarnations of Mr. Chaos inserted into a universe not his own. The most defining characteristic is being very powerful and usually morally gray.

    Aiden Order

Aiden Order

Decks: Invoked

The Chaos of Earth-2, an Evil Counterpart from a Yu-Gi-Oh! dimension where everyone is the opposite morality, and wielder of the Millennium Rod. Known as the Professor and the Angel of Death, he served the evil king of Domino City who solved the Millennium Puzzle, Solomon Muto.

  • Affably Evil: He's as much of a troll as Edwin, but otherwise, he's usually mild-mannered even when promising murder.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: In place of Edwin's beard, Aiden has scars around his lower face.
  • The Starscream: The entire plot of Dark Reflections revolves around this, his disgust of Solomon Muto for becoming little more than an Idle Rich after fighting through the story. Yet the old man still had Plot Armor; in the end, Aiden could only overcome him by coercing a little help from Edwin.
  • Villain Protagonist: It's mentioned in Chapter 27 that the story Aiden stars in is called Attack Order.

    Edna Chaos and Annie

Edna Chaos

Decks: Witchcrafter

The Chaos of Earth-3, a Distaff Counterpart from a Yu-Gi-Oh! dimension where everyone is the opposite gender, and wielder of the Millennium Ring. After completing the story and helping the Queen enter the afterlife, Edna began traversing dimensions to try to return home.

Annie

Edna's companion, a smart-mouthed AI capable of taking a physical form.

  • Expy: In a mirror of Troy, she's named after Annie Edison from Community, and her physical form is that of her actress, Alison Brie.

    Avo Chaos

Avo Chaos

The Chaos of Earth-7, a Dragon Ball Z dimension, and the protagonist of Chaos Theory Z, another Self-Insert Fic by Mr. Chaos. A member of the Z Fighters who makes up for a lack of ki with magic, and thanks to the Scroll of Knowledge, he knows he is destined to become "The Silver Sorcerer", a mythical magic user able to wield Chaos Magic.

    Josiah Chaos

Josiah Chaos

The Chaos of Earth-77 whose real name is Kurt, Edwin's brother from the real world. His is a Yu-Gi-Oh! dimension where the Millennium Items were forged by the Ancient Greeks and Téa Gardner is partnered with the Spirit of the Millennium Belt, an ancient Amazon Queen; the timeline is also slower, with the conclusion of Duelist Kingdom occurring in the middle of Earth-1's Battle City. He guards the Millennium Items and wields the Millennium Shield.

  • Always Second Best: Edwin is this to Josiah. Edwin became a millionaire? Josiah became a billionaire. Edwin has a goddess lusting after him? Josiah has three fighting over him. It seems to be nothing new between them, though it's insinuated that Josiah earned it while Edwin is Brilliant, but Lazy.

    Chaosbringer

Tomi Adohira, a.k.a. Chaosbringer

The Chaos of Earth-117, a My Hero Academia dimension. His Quirk is Writer's Gift, allowing him to transform anything he writes on into whatever he writes, so long as the item exists in the real world. A morally gray individual who commits great crimes with the best of intentions.

  • Adaptational Heroism: Of a sort; Gentle rescued Tomi when he was dropped into the world—literally, appearing five stories off the ground. Tomi was the first person to call Gentle a hero, and he eventually became Chaosbringer's second-in-command.
  • Exact Words: In the third omake, he promises that if the staff of Aldera Middle School sends the students outside, his Kill Sat won't fire on the school. Every single teacher complies, sending the students to their doom. And Chaosbringer's response is to inform the children that they were condemned with no regard for quirks before destroying the school and everyone left inside with his own weapons.
  • Kidnapped While Sleeping: He's introduced kidnapping the newborn Eri Adohira from the hospital, and it's mentioned that she doesn't know Tomi isn't her birth father.
  • Power Limiter: Tomi used his powers to create jewelry that would allow Eri to learn to control her powerful Rewind Quirk without ever hurting anyone.

    NONE

NONE (a.k.a. Edwin Chaos)

The Chaos of Earth-151, a Pokémon dimension, and the oldest Chaos in the multiverse. His world is trapped in a time loop, forcing SIs to live the life of Ash Ketchum, and "rewarding" those who are successful by turning them into Legendary and Mythical Pokemon. Edwin, traumatized by the loop and the loss of his friends and Pokémon, used his new power to accidentally nuke the entire planet; it wasn't until he reached Unova that he began to find bones that weren't atomized. Taking the name NONE, he became known to the Pokémon World as MissingNo, an Outer God with reality-warping abilities. It is only the actions of Slash that have helped him begin to interact with humanity again.

  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: Being alone for millions of years after losing everyone he loved then nuking the world has left NONE....broken, to say the least, struggling to remember how to act human as well as understanding and expressing emotions. He seems to base his morality off of what would make Slash happy at that moment.
  • Like Brother and Sister: Has this relationship with Slash and, by extension, Edwin and the other Chaoses, even expressing disgust at the idea of being together romantically.

    Slash

Slash, real name Cassandra

The second Chaos of Earth-151, Slash took her name from SI-Ash and is the latest person from the real world ripped into the time loop. A transgender Ash Ketchum, she is a 20-something British woman who fights to try and free herself from the Loop. She is also the first of the Ash Loopers to befriend NONE. Due to her actions during the Chaos Contract, and an apparent connect to 'The Dragon that Creates it's Self' as mentioned by Entropy, she is now seen as a Chaos, a "sister" to NONE and the other Chaoses. It is also revealed that she has a counterpart in Edwin's world, the KaibaCrew member Cassie.

  • Like Brother and Sister: Has this relationship with NONE and, by extension, Edwin and the other Chaos's. Both she and NONE actually express disgust at the idea of being together romantically, despite Dawn apparently shipping it.
  • The Minion Master: Is this by virtue of being a Pokémon Trainer with several of her Pokemon being mentioned: Raijin the Alolan Raichu, assumed to be Ash's Pikachu from the series; Aguni the Charizard, assumed to be Ash's Charizard, who gained a morpher during the Chaos Contract arc; Fenrir (most likely a Houndoom as he's a dark type and set Pegasus on fire); Zero, a Porygon Z; Vulpermancer, a shiny Delphox; Petrie, an Areodactyl assumed to be named for the The Land Before Time character, and a currently unnamed Tyrantrum.
  • Shipper on Deck: Is apparently this for Brock and Cilan.

    Edwyn Kaos

Edwyn Kaos

The Chaos of Earth-299, a Game of Thrones dimension with an acute Yu-Gi-Oh! twist. After bringing down the usurper king Noah, he was made the King of Cards by the remaining lords.

    Wyatt Chaos

Wyatt Chaos, a.k.a. The Gunslinger

The Chaos of Earth-1874, a dimension similar to Fist of the North Star with an acute Yu-Gi-Oh! twist. A ruthless, sociopathic, dimension-hopping bounty hunter whose only priority is growing more powerful by collecting powerful artifacts. He wields the Millennium Revolver and has two Millennium Eyes, among other things. He is the main antagonist of The Chaos Contract arc.

    Arno Chaos

Arno Chaos

The Chaos of Earth-1900 and Edwin and Josiah's father from the real world, and former wielder of the Millennium Necklace. His is a Yu-Gi-Oh! dimension where Solomon Muto solved the Millennium Puzzle, and 40 years have passed since he saw the Pharaoh off to the afterlife.

    Spider-Chaos
