Main Characters
Cole "Charlie" Nero
- Afraid of Needles: He once fainted at the sight of a needle. Apparently a rare trait for Pokemon.
- Animorphism: Was turned into a Charmander just before the comic starts. This is the main drive of the plot.
- Berserk Button: Most things relating to his dad seem to really set him off.
- Chronic Hero Syndrome: He could have avoided a lot of trouble in a haunted cave if he didn't feel the need to attack the resident dictator.
- Deadpan Snarker: Many of his reactions are cynical or outright bitter.
- Double Consciousness: Has shades of Split Personality but this seems to be the more conscious conflict he's having.
- Good Old Fisticuffs: Despite being a fire-breathing lizard now, he still seems to prefer fighting with his fists.
- Like a Duck Takes to Water: Seems to be developing skills in his new form rather quickly. See below.
- The Mind Is a Plaything of the Body: Every now and then his Charmander side takes over.
- Sir Swearsalot: Has a colorful vocabulary especially when upset. The author usually censors it with Symbol Swearing but has been dropping it recently
- Split Personality: Wild Charlie, as the author refers to him, appears to have a completely different attitude than Cole.
Bud
- Determinator: His battle with Kraker was seriously out matched, but he pushed on regardless.
Kraker
- Big Ego, Hidden Depths
- Inferiority Superiority Complex: Showing a lot of signs that he feels inadequate with himself and projects it on to others.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Kraker practically embodies this trope. His entry on the character page sums it up succinctly: "If not for his utter loyalty to his friends and deep sense of justice, he might be considered a down right jacka$&."
- Berserk Button: Chapter 9 and 10 seems to point toward evolution or his brother as being huge triggers.
- A Day in the Limelight: Chapter 10, "Over the Moon" focuses a lot on Kraker and his motivations for wanting a thunderstone.
Dante
- Action Girl: The only female Pokemon in Brian's team, and also the quickest one to jump into battle and go all out. Her aggressiveness is second only to Kraker (who's not technically one of Brian's Pokemon.)
- Bad with the Bone: As a cubone, Dante prefers to hold on to a bone club.
- Bratty Half-Pint
- Dark and Troubled Past: Briefly alluded to in Chapter 9, "Psychosafari".
- Gender-Blender Name: Brian named her "Dante" for her mysterious, cool aura, not realizing that the freshly caught Cubone was actually female. Dante doesn't mind; She loves her name, even if she can't stand being mistaken for a boy.
- I Owe You My Life: Part of Dante's motivation for sticking around Cole.
- Samus Is a Girl: For the longest time, nobody, not even Dante's closest friends realized that she was a female Cubone, rather than a male one. When she found out, she was understandably angered.
Maoh
- The Ageless
- Bilingual Bonus: His name means "Demon King" in Japanese.
- Killer Rabbit: Maoh, a Mew who is all too happy to engage in Mind Rape.
- Who Wants to Live Forever?: Being cursed with immortality left him bored out of his mind after a few lifetimes.
Aodan "Danny"
- Accent Adaptation: He has a distinct southern accent despite being a pokemon.
- Eccentric Mentor
- Old Master
- Parental Substitute: To Cole even when he was a human baby
- Retired Badass
- Mysterious Protector: Has a tendancy to appear in the unlikliest of situations.
Brian Wheaton
Beginner trainer.

Brian's mom, ex gym leader of Marquee.
