Born of this agony was Yami Marik, a dark personality who yearns only to cause as much pain to everyone around him as possible.

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Even after Odion turns against him, when push comes to shove, Marik still cares dearly for him. How dearly? To the point of trying to ''stand before an Egyptian God to protect him.''
** Even Yami Marik feels this way, to an extent: the emergence of Yami Ishizu makes it clear to him that Odion hadn't sealed him away on purpose, that it had been an accidental result of his fervent desire to protect his siblings. Unfortunately, he refuses to be sealed away again, so Odion still has to die.
* IJustWantToBeFree: Stated in Chapter 33, Marik's true end goal with the Rare Hunters is to cement the rites and attire of the tombkeepers as a symbol of their terror and crimes, so that with the world searching for more of the same, he and Odion can discard their cursed lineage forever and escape into the modern day.

Representative of the Egyptian Government, the middle Ishtar sibling, and the last of the tombkeepers. A cryptic ally in canon, her fervent distrust of Endymion and obsession with keeping events the way she foresaw makes her a villain in this story.

* AdaptationalVillainy: Ishizu was cryptic and manipulative in canon, but she wasn't evil. Here, however, it's fleshed out exactly how much of a fanatic she is, how obsessed with bringing her visions to pass, and almost all of it stems from refusing to trust Edwin due to Endymion's actions in the distant past. It gets even worse after Solomon challenges her faith, offering to kill Edwin if she kills Marik. The split in her heart between her duty to the Pharaoh and her longing to save her brother leads to the birth of Yami Ishizu when Odion falls.
* TheFatalist: She clings desperately to the visions her necklace shows her, even as Edwin's intervention leads to them becoming more and more unreliable.

Second-in-command of the Rare Hunters and the adopted elder brother to the Ishtar siblings, he is an honorable man whose only wish is to protect the family that took him in. When Marik was forced to undergo the rite of the tombkeepers, Odion privately conducted his own ritual to protect his family, which sealed away his siblings' dark halves.

* HeelFaceTurn: He was always a man of honor. Hence, when Marik's trap for Yugi and Joey puts the life of an innocent girl in danger, despite Marik's claim that she wouldn't be harmed, he betrays his brother and, with encouragement from Pegasus, begins to atone.

* DirtyCoward: The Decks he uses are designed to overwhelm the opponent psychologically. If the opponent has enough mental fortitude, he's pretty much powerless.
* NamedByTheAdaptation: He never got a name in the anime or manga, just being called Rare Hunter or, in a few video games, Seeker. In this story, the database shows his name is Ogden Winniehammer, and Joey remarks it's no wonder he went by just Rare Hunter.

* AwesomeByAnalysis: The Big Five are incredibly dangerous and incredibly competent business moguls. And Gozaburo outclasses all of them combined.
** Nezbitt put together a fake set of interviews with Gozaburo's references, edited masterfully with his technical knowhow. Gozaburo sees through them immediately.

Endeavors to give him a new body never came to fruition, and Noah has remained the lord and prisoner of his virtual world and the submarine-fortress that supports it ever since. He is the main antagonist of Noah's Arc.

* AdaptationalBadass: Noah was a credible threat in canon, but he had all the arrogance of a spoiled little rich boy who held all the power. Here, he's savvy enough to neutralize Kaiba and Edwin as threats immediately, and he doesn't bring Yugi and the Pharaoh into the Virtual World at all.

** In a one-on-one talk with Edwin in Chapter 116, Noah explicitly refrains from mocking him about his mother's death, knowing that kind of pain firsthand.
** It is the lowest of low bars to clear, but Noah is unable to argue in Chapter 120 when Pegasus suggests that not even Gozaburo would ever attempt to score a cheap victory over a defenseless child, which nullifies any consideration of Dueling Serenity for her body.
* IveComeTooFar: One conversation with Edwin is almost enough to make Noah reconsider his entire scheme. But with the finish line in sight, Noah regains his bravado and resolve as soon as he leaves Edwin's presence.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: In the real world, Noah's time in the virtual world has spanned somewhere between ten and twenty years. Eldest of the Big Five, vice-president of business strategy. Forced to match his brilliant mind against Koyo's, he uses an avatar of Nate Crescent to fight for him in Noah's Arc.

* ChallengeSeeker: A brilliant man who wants nothing more than new experiences to exercise his brain. Borders on ChoosyBeggar when he's dissatisfied with facing Koyo purely because he's already been a young white man and would rather grow up as another gender or race.
* LackOfEmpathy: He sees it as an asset to have employees with all the autonomy and personality of robots.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: He casually throws around the term [[spoiler:faggot]], a particularly egregious example when he's facing Koyo.

He hits rock bottom after [[spoiler:losing the first round of Battle City]], but has been improving ever since.

* BaitAndSwitch: Played with when he puts up a facade of calling Joey to a court date to deceive him into thinking he'll be Dueling Johnson instead. While Joey doesn't know one of the Big Five from the others, it works to deceive the readers since Johnson was the one Joey faced in the anime.
* DeaderThanDead: His fate after losing the Duel against Joey, and attempting to cheat Noah. The Kaiba heir deletes him piece by painful piece; by the time he fades, he can't even remember his own name.
* EmbarrassingNickname: He dislikes being called Tony.
* EntertaininglyWrong: He gives Joey entirely too much credit, initially trying to bluff him into thinking he's facing Johnson, and later reconsidering falling for his trash talk due to thinking he was trying to get him to let his guard down. In reality, Joey wouldn't know one member of the Big Five from any other and was just speaking from the heart. He's smart enough to realize that Nezbitt is reading far too much into things.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He chose to use the Red-Eyes archetype against Joey because he knew what the dragon meant to him. But not only was Joey not using a Red-Eyes deck himself anymore, he still knew all the ins and outs of it, allowing him to predict Nezbitt's champion's every move and overcome her.
* LackOfEmpathy: He sees no virtue in emotions or humanity, and indeed, he believes slavery was a good thing.
* NamedByTheAdaptation: He was only known by his surname in the original dub.
* NeverMyFault: Nezbitt denies any responsibility for what people did with the weapons he provided, seemingly believing himself innocent since he's never the one who pulls the trigger.
* TechnoWizard: Nezbitt is the one who created the Virtual World, designing everything from the gravity and physics to the biology and emotional responses of human programs. It comes to light that he was sourest about the company's redirection because it meant that his software, which had been meant to perfectly demonstrate the effectiveness of weapons without real-world testing, was repurposed as a child's plaything.

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Téa hasn't forgiven her father for everything he did, including trying to murder Edwin, but she still loves him. He, in turn, regularly writes her, and she's brought to tears from his fervent and genuine praise of her making it past the Battle City preliminaries.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Even after Yuri disowns him, he sees nothing wrong with all the crooked acts he did, from fraud and coverups to attempted murder, because his motivation for all of it was keeping his family safe.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Albeit extremely myopic. He sees nothing wrong with lying, cheating, and even murdering if it means maintaining his family's financial stability.

* GoodScarsEvilScars: In place of Edwin's beard, Aiden has scars around his lower face.
* TheStarscream: The entire plot of Dark Reflections revolves around this, his disgust of Solomon Muto for becoming little more than an IdleRich after fighting through the story. Yet the old man still had PlotArmor; in the end, Aiden could only overcome him by coercing a little help from Edwin.
* VillainProtagonist: It's mentioned in Chapter 27 that the story Aiden stars in is called Attack Order.

Edwin, traumatized by the loop and the loss of his friends and Pokémon, used his new power to accidentally nuke the entire planet; it wasn't until he reached Unova that he began to find bones that weren't atomized. Taking the name NONE, he became known to the Pokémon World as [=MissingNo=], an Outer God with reality-warping abilities. It is only the actions of Slash that have helped him begin to interact with humanity again.

Due to her actions during the Chaos Contract, and an apparent connect to 'The Dragon that Creates it's Self' as mentioned by Entropy, she is now seen as a Chaos, a "sister" to NONE and the other Chaoses. It is also revealed that she has a counterpart in Edwin's world, the [=KaibaCrew=] member Cassie.

* LikeBrotherAndSister: Has this relationship with NONE and, by extension, Edwin and the other Chaos's. Both she and NONE actually express disgust at the idea of being together romantically, despite Dawn apparently shipping it.
