Season 5

    Ramon Limon (Second Appearance)

  • Last Kiss: Ends up kissing Archer while dying (hence the title of the episode), but eventually subverted, as he faked his death.

  • Staged Shooting: With Charles and Rudi, to keep Archer from discovering their betrayal.

Voiced By: Thomas Lennon (Charles), Robert Ben Garant (Rudi)

The pair of gay assassins from "Honeypot" also reappear in this episode, having survived the claymore blast from the last one, as the receiving end of the gang's cocaine deal. They set Archer, Lana, Pam and Ramon up and abscond with both the cocaine and the money; from "A Kiss While Dying".

  • The Bus Came Back: Finally reappearing after four seasons.
  • Faking the Dead: They fake their deaths to keep Archer from finding out about their partnership with Ramon.
  • Staged Shooting: They perform one with Ramon in "A Kiss While Dying" to convince Archer not to pursue them.
  • Walking Spoilers: Their mere appearance in the episode is quite the surprise.

    La Madrina
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/e2534ef8fe1d5f87f5b26f6ee314c8d0.png
Voiced By: Blake Perlman

Leader of the Cali cartel in Colombia. Her real name is Colonel Ana Maria Delgado of the Colombian National Police, conducting an undercover operation; from "Smuggler's Blues".

  • All Women Are Lustful: The minute she meets Archer she decides to engage in an all-night BDSM-themed sex marathon with him . . . only to then arrest him for smuggling cocaine into Colombia. When asked why she even bothered having sex with him rather than arrest him immediately, her only response was "muy guapo."
  • Double Agent: Is really an undercover agent of the Colombian National Police.
  • Leave No Witnesses: Her plans for Archer, Cyril and Ray after she reveals her real name and allegiance with the Colombian National Police. Despite being officially shipped to a notorious Colombian prison, they would most likely be shot and left in a ditch so they couldn't reveal her secret.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: Possibly based on Griselda Blanco, known as a La Madrina, or "The Godmother" in Spanish.
  • Undercover Cop Reveal: The morning after she and Archer have sex, she reveals she's a deep undercover officer.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: She chews out Archer for bring cocaine into Colombia.

    Gustavo Calderón
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1a91588c4dacc7b55b620fceb8d8040b.jpg
Voiced by: Fred Armisen

Tinhorn dictator of the small Central American Republic of San Marcos, Calderón hosts Malory and her employees at his palace in the midst of a bloody civil war, believing them to be the new crew of weapon smugglers he's been expecting; appears in "Palace Intrigue" and "Filibuster".

  • Ambiguously Bi: After Juliana is taken out of her cell, he hits on Archer.
  • And Now You Must Marry Me: He forces Cherlene to marry him after divorcing his wife.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Goes out screaming while being mauled to bits by an escaped tiger from his own private zoo.
  • Great Escape: He attempts to escape the prison with Archer and Cherlene, but this results in his untimely demise.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: He appears in the flash-forward during "White Elephant", telling one of his men that he must meet Cherlene in-person.
  • Karmic Death: When touring his private zoo with Archer, he uses the tiger's position as an apex predator to defend his stance as unchallenged dictator ("Meat is whatever the tiger says is meat, because God made him the boss and all other animals his food"). Moments later, when freed from his cage the tiger promptly eats him alive.
  • Loony Fan: Like many other dictators, he has a fixation on Western pop singers - specifically, "Cherlene". The only reason her album went platinum in the first place is because he bought and shipped a million copies to give to the populace, and he even makes an effort to propose to her.
  • The Caligula: He alternates between Faux Affably Evil and an Axe-Crazy Manchild; he develops an obbessive crush/lust for Cherlene and despite claiming to be broke brought one million copies of her debut album just so it would go platinum.
  • Parental Incest: His father was married to Juliana before he was, making her his step-mother as well as his ex-wife.
  • Riches to Rags: He is overthrown as the wealthy leader of San Marcos by Cyril, and subsequently thrown in jail.
  • Throw-Away Guns: He never bothers to reload his Desert Eagle, instead having an underling bring him another loaded pistol presented on a cushion whenever he runs dry.

    Juliana Calderón

Voiced By: Lauren Cohan

Calderon's wife and the first lady of San Marcos; appears in "Palace Intrigue", "Filibuster", and "Arrival/Departure".

  • Arranged Marriage: She is married off the whoever is the current leader of San Marcos. At first it was Gustavo's father, then Gustavo himself, then Cyril when he overthrew Gustavo.
  • And Now You Must Marry Me: Cyril marries her. While she doesn't seem pleased with it, she goes along with it to still be the First Lady.
  • Dude Magnet: Before marrying Gustavo, she was married to to his father. Archer was eager to sleep with her. Cyril forced her to marry him.
  • Inexplicably Identical Individuals: She bears a resemblance to the newlywed Archer had sex with at the start of Season 3.
  • It's All About Me: She believes her husband's things are hers, and gets upset when Cyril, Malory, and Pam rob the palace.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Her dress reveals more of her breasts than it covers.
  • Navel-Deep Neckline: Her red dress has a plunging neckline that reaches her stomach.
  • Never Found the Body: She's in the palace when the Marines bomb it to the ground, and explicitly makes it a point not to go to a shelter.
  • The Vamp: Has a habit of dressing in a sexy French Maid Outfit and seducing men. Naturally, this is how Archer meets her.

Season 6

    Sato Kentaro
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/e3b2a5b2b1d5dfe742154dad3e3dd276.jpg
Voiced By: Togo Igawa

First Lieutenant of the Imperial Japanese Army. He remained on an island in Borneo, unaware the war ended; from "The Holdout".

  • Action Dad: Had a daughter while fighting in the war.
  • Good Old Fisticuffs: Positively brutal without a weapon at all.
  • Happily Married: He was, to his wife Hatsumi. They reunite.
  • Heroic BSoD: A minor one after stealing Archer's phone and discovering the war's progression from Guadalcanal to the atomic bomb.
  • Old Soldier: Is approximately 70, but still has a powerful karate kick, and can even carry Archer on his shoulders in a banzai charge.
  • The Remnant: Stayed on the island and missed the war's end. Archer shows him photos on his phone of Japan's surrender
  • Shout-Out: Archer mentions the similarities to an episode of The Six Million Dollar Man. Sato may be based on Hiroo Onoda, who stayed in the Philippines into the 1970s.

    Patrick "Crash" McCaren
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/05b4a4c65c5f271799b729c6480c97f4.jpg
Voiced By: Rob Huebel

The hiking team leader and an assassin targeted by the CIA from "The Archer Sanction".

    Edie Poovey
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/66040e4435361119e8715ba88d630df6.jpg
Voiced By: Allison Tolman

Pam's narcissistic Jerkass sister; from "Edie's Wedding".

  • Berserk Button: For all the put-downs she hurls at... well... everyone, you'd think she would have thicker skin. But when Barry tells her that she's "no prize herself," she launch tackles him to the ground.
  • Big Sister Bully: She more or less spends all of her screen time treating her sister like shit, and their childhood together was probably no different.
  • Break the Haughty: The episode she appears in establishes her as every bit the bully she was made out to be, and then breaks her utterly. Archer lets her be beaten up by her sister for a short while and then knocks her out to drag her along to rescue Pam, Barry beats her up and nearly chokes her to death, and then her wedding gets cancelled.
  • Bullying a Dragon: Tackling Barry was a fairly stupid move. After the initial surprise stops, Barry quickly turns the tables and nearly strangles her to death.
  • Evil Counterpart: Not evil per se, but she definitely looks and acts like a much meaner version of Pam. Which still doesn't quite do justice to how awful she really is. Her resemblance to Pam is quite ironic considering she constantly insults Pam for her looks.
  • Fat Bitch: She's overweight just like Pam (perhaps even a bit more), but unlike her, she's a completely cruel and horrid bitch.
  • Hate Sink: She’s a sadistic obnoxious bully to her own sister and has been that her their whole life, and still thinks the humiliating childhood pranks she pulled are still funny. Even Barry of all people voices disgust.
  • The Ghost: She's mentioned a number of times by Pam and once by Malory before she is seen, as a person who is completely horrible. When she's met, it's discovered Pam was, if anything, understating what a terrible person she was.
  • Hypocrite: She repeatedly puts Pam down for being overweight when she herself is at least as fat as Pam and much less attractive (inside and out).
  • Irony: Ends up losing her husband-to-be in a very similar manner to the way she hurt Pam's feelings in High School.
  • It's All About Me: Her sister has been kidnapped by a sociopathic cyborg and all she does is bitch about how she will be late to the rehearsal dinner for her wedding. More specifically, how she will miss the all-you-can-eat prime rib.
  • Jerkass:
    • Pretty much every word out of her mouth is an insult, a put down, or just general bitching. She also had sex with a boy she knew Pam liked for no reason other than to hurt her feelings. She is one of the few characters that has neither any redeeming qualities, nor a Freudian Excuse that balances out or slightly makes up for her terrible attitude.
    • When Pam is hanging from the roof of a Grain Elevator by her hands and feet, she asks Edie to "cut her down" and Edie responds by launching into a trade of verbal abuse. The kicker: she knew what Pam meant, she just used the opportunity to insult her more.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: You'd think that at some point throughout her adventure with Archer to rescure her sister from a psychotic Russian cyborg there would be a tender moment where she would admit that she actually does care for Pam. There isn't, and the only time she actively tries to help Pam is when Barry insults her, not Pam.
  • Noodle Incident: According to a conversation in another episode, she gives birth in their farm's barn because of "A long, racist story."
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: She's no Barry, but certainly antagonistic. And she insults Archer because she believed Archer was a gay, and was driving to ruin her wedding because (at the time) gay couples could not get married.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: When a tied-up Pam asks her to "cut her down" she gives her this instead of literally freeing her.

    Farooq Ashkani
Voiced by: Kumail Nanjiani

A Pakistani spy attempting to infiltrate the CIA; from "Sitting".

  • Bond Villain Stupidity: Flat-out tells Archer his plan to place spyware in the ISIS/CIA mainframe, even though he had no reason to, and Archer didn't even care. When Archer points this out, he tries to cover up by saying that it was mere misdirection.
  • A Dog Named "Dog": He introduces himself as a manny (a male nanny) named Manny to Cyril, Cheryl, Ray, Pam, and Krieger.
  • Friend to All Children: He is great with AJ.
  • Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: Slater slaps him one when he doesn't stop screaming. It's an act.
  • Irony: He's an improv actor, but twice he proves unable to tell a convincing lie. Unless that was also part of the act.
  • Mean Character, Nice Actor: It turns out he's a genuinely nice guy hired by Lana to portray a villain.
  • Monster of the Week: The main antagonist of "Sitting", but actually subverted - as he's nothing more than an improv actor hired by Lana to put Archer on the spot.
  • Obviously Evil: Makes it very clear that he's the villain before its revealed properly, most likely to hide the episode's true reveal about him - he's an actor hired by Lana.

    Drs. Lemuel and Claudette Kane
Voiced by: Keith David (Lemuel) C.C.H. Pounder (Claudette)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kanes.png

Lana Kane's parents.

  • Abusive Parents: Emotionally abusive, they were hellbent on ensuring Lana would become a scientist like them. They thought she was vomiting from excitement when she was taken to a science fair she clearly despised.
  • Does Not Like Guns: Lemuel is disgusted to find out that Lana carries a pair of guns.
  • Genius Breeding Act: Subverted. They were hoping that Lana would follow their steps and become a brilliant academic, and were kind of disappointed when she revealed herself to be a spy.
  • Jock Dad, Nerd Son: Inverted. Both of them are academics, while Lana's job is more physical and less intellectual. A flashback to her childhood revealed that they pushed her to become a scientist.
  • Not So Above It All: Lemuel at least, though Claudette doesn't raise any protests either; despite otherwise being a hardline liberal who has few good things to say about shady organizations like the CIA, he happily accepts the Slater's bribe to bury his algae-based biofuel research when he sees how much they are putting into his bank account per month.
  • Soapbox Sadie: It's not hard to see where Lana got her political views. And while Lemuel is a microbiologist, Claudette is a professor of Public Policy focusing on feminist issues.
  • Strawman U: They're both Berkeley academics, and display some liberal stereotypes.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: Lemuel is a brilliant reseracher, who wears glasses.

    Queen Yasmin Fawaz
Voiced by: Necar Zadegan

An overbearing, hot-tempered queen; from "Pocket Listing".

  • Bad Boss: Verbally and physically abusive to her underlings, with a particularly nasty bent toward "insolent" servants.
What I know, you impudent toad, is that if a servant dared speak to me in my palace, I would have him sewn into a burlap sack filled with rats, and the sack thrown into the river.
  • Cut His Heart Out with a Spoon: She gets very creative with her punishments.
  • God Save Us from the Queen!: She is vicious, physically-abusive and makes Nightmare Fuel threats, even to people who are not her subjects! Considering how pleasant and polite her son is, it is pretty clear that this is all her and not the norm for her country's royals.
  • Jerkass: She makes even Malory look like a kind, loving mother by comparison.
  • Ms. Fanservice: In-universe, the sight of her gives Archer an audible erection.
  • Rich Bitch: She makes constant threats and demands of nearly everyone she comes across.

     Dr. Sklodowska
Voiced By: Carrie Brownstein

The assistant of Doctor Zoltan Kovacs as well as his mistress. She goes on the mission to remove the blood clot in Dr. Kovacs's brain; from "Drastic Voyage".

  • Catchphrase: She seems to have a stock line to say after mentioning anything even remotely related to her sex life:
Sklodwska: If that shocks you, so be it.
  • Insufferable Genius: She is brilliant and knows her human biology, but she's also a giant bitch about it.
  • Meaningful Name: "Sklodowska" is the maiden name of Marie Curie.
  • Really Gets Around: She's slept with Dr. Kovas as well as Michael Gray, and attempted to sleep with Slater (and possibly even Archer).
  • Smug Snake: She never misses a chance to show off how much smarter she is than everyone else.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: She doesn't get along with anyone, even Agent Hawley.

     TV's Michael Gray
Voiced By: Michael Gray

Star of Shazam! (1974) and Dr. Sklodowska's former lover; from "Drastic Voyage".

  • As Himself: Naturally.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: Appears at the start of Part I to demonstrate the human body. Halfway through Part II he is found inside the sub, causing it to use more oxygen than expected.
  • Insistent Terminology: Constantly referred to as "TV's Michael Gray".
  • The Millstone: He almost causes everyone else to suffocate by stowing away on the sub and using up its oxygen.
  • Small Reference Pools: In-universe; when he appears in Part I less than half of the people in the room know who he is. By Part II Archer brings up some casting trivia from Shazam leading to Pam and Cheryl having to unsuccessfully ask each other what he's talking about.

Season 7

    Richard "Ivy" Stratton IV

Archer's former prep-school bully; from "Deadly Prep".

  • Affectionate Nickname: "Ivy"
  • Better to Die than Be Killed: Kills himself to deny Archer the satisfaction of bringing him in.
  • Break the Haughty: His effect on Archer - even as an adult, he can turn the arrogant, fearless Smug Snake into a quivering, stuttering mess.
  • Deadly Prank: Very nearly - when he and another bully gave Archer a "swirly" back in prep school, they broke his nose and not only almost drowned him but also gave him pneumonia for a whole semester.
  • The Dreaded: He's probably the only person Archer is afraid of, aside from his mother.
  • Drowning My Sorrows: Archer remarks this when he goes through Stratton's house and sees he's downed a lot of booze, noting he would do the same if he had terminal cancer with three months to live. It's actually Whitney, much to Archer's disgust.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Acts like he's grown out of his bullying ways and seems like a classy guy, but it's clear from his very first appearance that beneath the surface he's still that horrible youth that nearly killed Archer.
  • Hate Sink: Aside from being a school bully, he's also a racist and an elitist.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: Makes several extremely difficult, if not outright impossible (for the circumstances) shots, like shooting the head restraint in Archer's car, twice in quick succession, while chasing Archer and missing his head by inches. It helps that he's stated to have been a championship marksman.
  • Knight of Cerebus: One of the only villains in the series that is not Played for Laughs at all.
  • Make It Look Like an Accident: He asks Archer to murder him and make it look like a bungled burglary. He's actually trying to trick Archer into killing his partner Whitney.
  • Mercy Kill: Asks Archer to perform one because of a terminal liver cancer. It's actually a setup to get his partner, Whitney, murdered.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: He assumes AJ is Archer's bastard because she is biracialnote , refuses to shake her hand, and Lana has to tell him that she isn't the nanny. The "villain" part comes at the end of the episode.
  • Secretly Dying: Says he has Stage IV liver cancer and has a few agonizing months to live. At least, that's his cover story.
  • Schoolyard Bully All Grown Up: He's on the board of directors for a prestigious "pre-pre" prep school, and Lana implores Archer to kiss up to him in order to get AJ in.
  • Teens Are Monsters: His prank on Archer was nearly deadly. And he didn't grow out of it.

    Trent Whitney

Ivy's right-hand man and another former bully of Archer; from "Deadly Prep".

  • The Alcoholic: Archer finds him surrounded by empty liquor bottles. Archer notes that when he thought it was Ivy dying of liver cancer, he understood and would do the same, but is actually disgusted by Whitney drinking that much on an ordinary night despite having no such excuse.
  • Asshole Victim: His death is well-earned, with the only drawback being that it was Ivy who got to kill him.
  • Ax-Crazy: The guy must be rabid or something because from what little we've been shown, he's always in a murderous rage.
  • Deadly Prank: When he nearly drowned Archer at private school.
  • The Dreaded: Archer fears him even more than Ivy.
  • Hate Sink: Just like Ivy, he's devoid of any redeeming traits.
  • Knight of Cerebus: One of the only villains in the series that is not Played for Laughs at all.
  • Schoolyard Bully All Grown Up: And unlike Ivy makes no attempt at feigning maturity.
  • Teens Are Monsters: Seriously wanted to kill Archer as a teen.

    The Clowns
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_o2hxscb.png
A group of robbers in colored jumpsuits and clown masks, who arrive to steal a valuable necklace. They consist of Mr. Rompers (Red), Oingo (Orange) and Boingo (Blue), Nurple (Purple), Giggles (Green), Yum Yum (Yellow) and Pinky Brewster (Pink).
  • Ax-Crazy: Rompers has a rather frayed tether to sanity, and seems always one outburst from shooting everyone. His psyche is...not helped by the general annoyance caused by the Figgis Detectives and the incompetence of his own henchmen.
  • Decoy Getaway: When they run out of options, they pretend to be hostages released by the robbers.
  • Disguised Hostage Gambit: As a last resort, they switch their clothes and masks with the hostages and simply walk out, claiming to be the hostages. Possibly a reference to The Dark Knight, thankfully for the hostages, the SWAT team was only using beanbag guns, which, while incredibly painful as Archer and the gang found out, are not nearly as lethal.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Rompers initially tries to be as entertaining as possible while committing a heist, but his fuse blows at the very first setback to his plans and never recovers.
  • Insurance Fraud: Shapiro hired him to steal the Tsarina so that he could collect the insurance money on it, but they double-crossed him, forcing Shapiro to hire the Figgis Detective Agency to stop them.
  • Jerkass: Giggles just randomly slaps the shit out of Cyril in one scene, with no explanation. Him doing so makes Malory and Lana assume he's Archer in disguise.
  • Karma Houdini: Mostly, anyways: Rompers, Oingo, Boingo and Nurple all escape the mansion in plain clothes disguise, but leave three of their crew behind (one dead, thanks to Archer), and their heist is up in smoke thanks to their own incompetence and the efforts of the Figgis Detective Agency.
  • The Leader: Mr. Rompers.
  • Meaningful Name: Yum Yum is the fattest of the group, and is knocked out by Pam while making a gigantic sandwich in the kitchen.
  • Monster Clown: Their masks give off this vibe, quite intentionally. Well, except for Pinky Brewster.
  • Neck Snap: How Archer disposes of Pinky Brewster.
  • Punny Name: Nurple wears purple, a reference to giving someone a purple nurple.
  • Slimeball: Pinky acts especially creepy when he finds Veronica Dean. Thankfully, Archer beats the shit out of him and snaps his neck.
  • Tranquil Fury: When the phone starts ringing.
Clown: Do you want me to get that?
    Rompers: (shoots the phone) No.
  • Villain: Exit, Stage Left: The remaining clowns switch their clothes with the hostages and simply walk out, claiming they were released by the robbers.
