It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Ask the Tropers:
openHow to expand on music examples Music
Music sections and music themed pages are full of Zero-Context Examples. That's probably because it can be difficult and redundant to explain a song. I am pretty shre there's a thread to fix this, but how exactly do you expand upon music examples? Does posting lyrics still count under zero-context?
openBest and Worst Band Names You've Ever Heard Music
I'm just wondering. Why was that particular thread locked? There wasn't anything that seem like complaining to me.
openCharacterSheets/Music Music
So the vast majority of sheets on CharacterSheets.Music aren't troping characters in works, but rather the musicians' personal lives. Given Creator Page Guidelines, would it be kosher for me to cutlist the ones that are troping the musicians (discounting kayfabe or pages like David Bowie that have actual fictional characters)?
Normally I'd just go ahead and do it, but since this is a larger undertaking I figured I'd ask here first.
openNot sure how to make this works page Music
Okay, there's a children's songwriter called Judy Pancoast. I enjoy (most of) her songs, and I know enough tropes they contain to make a works page. Only trouble is, I created the pages for Songdrops (which I'm a fan of), and Koit (which I hate the lyrics and illustrations but like the background music and felt it needed a page), but anyway, my opinion is irrelevant, the point is: both of those music pages had names for the collective amount of songs. Judy Pancoast's songs don't have a collective name. I could make a Creator page and just write her name, but I'm not sure it's right making a trope page for a real person.
openReporting a troper Music
In addition to issues with indentation and (to a lesser degree) grammar, JohnHowarth has made bizarre edits (such as asking why Kidz Bop doesn't cover songs about drugs on a Headscratchers page) that may or may not be vandalism/trolling. I've sent him a message regarding his indentation, but I'm mentioning it here in case we need to take action.
Edited by Spinosegnosaurus77openRomeo and Juliet Music
I fixed up this page that was created from for years ago, and it seems to be Not Thriving and missing some things, like how it is used in settings, and stuff. I merely fixed the namespaces, italicized, and categorized the examples. I have some things to do, so I'm just gotta leave the rest of the cleanup to you guys.
EDIT: Also, I think the proper name of it is Romeo And Juliet Overture, since the overture is often played in love scenes.
Edited by alnair20aug93openGuardians Inferno Music
Does the music video's list of Tropes in Film.Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 look long enough to merit a page in the Notable Music Videos index?
openRedundant Franchise page--Elvis Presley Music
I'm not even looking for these and this is the third one I've noticed. There's Franchise, Elvis Presley, and Music, Elvis Presley.
openThe Downward Spiral tropes Music
On the main page for The Downward Spiral, some of the tropes refer to the Analysis page (e.g. the Stalker with a Crush and Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu? entries). However, that page says it's just an interpretation of the story, and as far as i'm aware of, Trent's never made any statement supporting it. Should those tropes be moved somewhere else, or removed entirely?
Edited by CosmicCatopenDethroning Moment/Music Music
On the music subpage of Dethroning Moment of suck, a troper by the name of rumpbump deleted entries without any explanation.
openLocked Thread Music
Can someone tell me why the Hype Backlash in Music thread was locked? Apparently, it was locked because it was a complaint thread. It didn't seem like a complaint thread to me.
openMusic/Clannad link problems Music
On the Music/Clannad page, there are a bunch of links near the top of the page (such as Analysis, Fridge, Headscratchers, etc.) that don't pertain to the Irish band Clannad that the page is about, but to the Japanese visual novel Visual Novel/Clannad. Since these are unrelated topics, is there any way to get them sorted out from each other?
openWhat measure is a two-hit wonder? Music
I am currently engaged in a debate with ryanisbetter about whether or not Lorde qualifies as a Two-Hit Wonder for "Royals" and "Team". I initially argued that she didn't fit because "Green Light" reached #19 on the Billboard Hot 100. He replied that because it only reached that position due to digital downloads and fell off the chart quickly afterward, it doesn't count as a true hit, meaning that she still fits the trope. I later said that even if one ignores "Green Light", "Tennis Court" is well-known enough to disqualify her. He stated that because it didn't reach a high position on the Hot 100, she should still be listed as a Two-Hit Wonder (ignoring the fact that my argument was about cultural awareness of the song rather than its chart position). I'd greatly appreciate someone else stepping in & settling this debate one way or the other.
Edited by Spinosegnosaurus77openAccidental indexing of metal bands on Sandbox Music
I accidentally indexed the bands listed on Metal as part of my Sandbox when I was using it to experiment with changing the layout of the page. Obviously, it doesn't look good seeing the bottom index saying "Ultimate Lazer" on all the metal bands. This was because I forgot to remove the "index" tag when copy-and-pasting. I just now noticed, and tried to remove it to no avail. I put it on the Cut List hoping that if the Sandbox is deleted then it will be removed, but I'm not sure. This was a complete mistake and I feel awful for it. Is there any way this can be fixed?
openUnlocking a forum thread Music
No, this is not for new threads, it's for existing threads that've been locked; especially for the image pickin' ones. Is it possible to unlock an image pickin' thread when making new suggestions or replacing another image, or start a new thread?
I'm asking with the context about Miley Cyrus and her new look◊.
Is tbe last line in this example correct? It popped out at me and thought of making it more neutral but I don't know it's accurate or not.
From Were Still Relevant Dammit:
Have they fallen into obscurity or not? I don't consider them too, but then again I was in their target audience age group so my vision may be clouded. They were really big for several years, at least in America.
