Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Speaking anecdotally, I doubt anyone I know would be able to name any of the Jonas Brothers, but I do think most of them would be vaguely aware that they were a boy band.
So broadly speaking I can see where the example is coming from, but it's a bit exaggerated.
Edited by nrjxllWell, I do recall them from these way-too-heavy-on-romance-and-way-too-thin-on-other-aspects-of-adolescence teen shows. So. But I only recall one or two names.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI've heard of them. Vaguely. (Shrug)
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThat said, it's a massive shoehorn.
It doesn't matter that they're irrelevant now, what matters is them trying to stay relevant during the show's run. Basically it's shoehorning (the already overly-broad, in my opinion) Unintentional Period Piece into a more negative item.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I'd honestly say delete that whole example. Nowadays you don't see them trying to advertise their previous work, which would be correct usage. No, Kevin has disappeared from the limelight, Nick is on Broadway, and Joe is in DNCE
OH MY GOD; MY PARENTS ARE GARDENIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!
Is tbe last line in this example correct? It popped out at me and thought of making it more neutral but I don't know it's accurate or not.
From Were Still Relevant Dammit:
Have they fallen into obscurity or not? I don't consider them too, but then again I was in their target audience age group so my vision may be clouded. They were really big for several years, at least in America.
