Alright, confess odd things.
Excessive complaining isn't allowed anywhere on the site. Keep it out of this thread.
For example, I'm jealous to my big brother becuase he discovered The Smiths first. Dammit, now I can't have a crush for Morrisey without feeling weird about it.

do you have a local library? Mine actually has a small graphic novel section, which is not something I would have even thought to seek out there (I like comics and graphic novels, I just wouldn't have expected them in the library) - I just happened to see it one day because it's close to the section for new books.

In terms of the Big 2, you're not missing anything. The amount of horribly written pandering and retcons make the majority of the works (both new and old) unreadable. Granted, there are some standouts (which I personally do enjoy and think they're good) but it's rarely worth it. If you want a good comic based off of a brand, check out IDW, they usually know how work around established standards.
Everywhere else, there's usually some really good stuff. Maus, Wayward, and the Woods are personal favourites of mine.

Yeah, not my thing.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."I guess I just have a lot in my head. I heard that line years ago but I think misinterpreted or misremembered it.
"We are just like Irregular Data. And that applies to you too, Ri CO. And as for you, Player... your job is to correct Irregular Data."Alright, so I don't see them that much anymore, but I never really liked the "Girls: | Boys:" meme format. While the "boys" pics are sometimes funny, there's better ways to show off gifs/images than combining it with "lol girls are boring/complainy/[insert girl stereotype here], boys are fun and cool". I know it's just a dumb meme but I can't help but get some bad vibes
shouldn't his favorite genre be RPG and not point and click thoughI’m not offended by the meme or anything but I agree that it’s painfully unfunny. I groan whenever I see one.
Same for the Nobody meme, I’m glad that seems completely dead.
"Don't cry because it's over, cry because it happened."I still like that one
Most memes are unfunny and the people who fuel them tend to be verbally violent.
While everyone is talking about not liking certain memes, I feel like bringing up that I'm not a big fan of:
"Doctor: you have [video length] to live
Me: plays video"
Frankly, it always came off to me as extremely disturbing

—signature not found—Pretty much all of the “Youtube comment” meme templates are dumb and unfunny, though.
Well, that’d be jus’ a waste. Why would ya want to deprive the world of such anomaly as yourself?I've been slowly started to have this view as well. I miss the days where video comments were actual comments........

Logically if you had exactly that amount of time to live you wouldn't be able to watch the whole video through since you'd first have to boot up your computer and then wait for youtube and the video to load. Depending on how good your internet and computer is you'd probably end up watching half of an average youtube video at most.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."I assumed it meant that the person loved that particular video so much that they had it ready to play on their phone at all times. Of course, it would still take a few seconds to unlock your phone and start the video (even without ads), but I just love the exaggeration in those comments.
He may be a giant, nightmarish brute, but like all villains in this series,he sure can sing.I mean, comments on music videos are pretty good. At least with the music I listen to.
“We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.” - Lewis CarrollWhen I was really little I used to get boners from opening my eyes underwater.
I don’t know why
I can't say goodbye to yesterday…
Most of the youtubers I follow have smaller followings so they don't have as big or as horrible comment sections like you might expect. Also comments on video game music usually aren't horrible as far as I can tell.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."Yeah, video game music is less likely to have bad comment sections, although sometimes the overused "template" comments still crop up
—signature not found—yeah most of the time the problem there isn't "people are dips" it's "people don't have very good senses of humor".
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."I have this... I guess you could call it a "sixth sense" of sorts that tells me when something's about to go wrong. Like either my chest feels tight or I randomly feel sick. It happened a few days ago and today I found out that Hongbin is leaving VIXX...
FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fate/Samurai RemnantI turn off You Tube comments using a browser add-on but I feel an obligation to read the comments if the video is passionate enough.
What meets the criteria of passionate enough?
Depends, really. Do you love it to the point of doing it often and not feel like you're forcing yourself to do it? Do you love it so much that it inspires you to create or do something? Do you just plain love it? All those could count, really. It mostly depends on what you think.
Forum signature.I just finished a big smoothie (bananas, orange juice, strawberries, vanilla yogurt) and I'm still hungry.
I haven't read a comic in ages. It's not so much that I think comics aren't worth it it's that it's really hard to get my hands on some.
