During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.

The Penthouse: War in Life franchise is a 2020 ~ 2021 thriller drama that airs on SBS, a Korean TV station. This drama was directed by writer Kim Soon-ok and director Joo Dong-min.
This drama reveals the dirty side of the upper class and deals with dark topics such as school violence, the gap between the rich and the poor, the war for entrance exams, and domestic violence.
Who Is Cho Sang Heon?/What Has He Done?
Cho Sang Heon is A minor antagonist of the 2020 ~ 2021 South Korean television series The Penthouse : War in life. He is Min Hyung Sik's boss and a member of the Gangnam-gujeong National Assembly in South Korea. He is a horny person who enjoys having an affair with a female celebrity.
He made illegal money by harvesting organs from children from Min Hyung Sik orphanage under his subordinates, selling them illegally. He tried to sexually harass Oh Yoon Hee, but he saw a wound on Oh Yoon Hee's neck and stopped sexually harassing him. When an entertainment agency's car arrives at his house, he enjoys having an affair with a female celebrity.
And after that, he attended the 1st anniversary celebration of Hera Palace, and at this time, he met Shim Su Ryeon in person, and he showed admiration for Shim Su Ryeon's appearance. And when he showed the Hera statue, the symbol of Hera Palace, Hera He finds a pair of Min Seol A's sneakers stuck in the statue of , and asks what those sneakers are. And when the aide informs him of the death of Min Seol A, he simply goes on to say, "What's the big deal with the death of an orphan?"
Afterwards, he received a bribe from Joo Dan Tae containing a large amount of political funds and a luxury watch. As I said in the Min Hyung Sik post, most villains in the Penthouse franchise do not have any major villains in the Penthouse franchise that can go to CM because of Redeeming Traits issues. However, this guy doesn't have any Redeeming Traits with Min Hyung Sik.

he also passes easily. He also committed child organ trafficking with Min Hyung Sik, nearly killing Shim Su Ryeon, and he is not an offscrean villain as his organ trafficking was shown through the dissolution of Min Seol A.

I’m looking at Mandela Catalogue and I see that the Hooded Intruder (Six) was added even though I don’t know if he was approved. There was no link to this page and his original entry wasn’t written that well and then cleaned up later. The post seems to have violated the 2-week rule on media. He’s clearly bad enough to qualify but I’m pretty sure we have to wait 2 weeks to quantify his heinous deeds (In fact, they left out his years-long stalking of Mark since he was a child before he sadistically assisted in killing him) with the new info from volume 2.

- ’’The Devil Bat’’: Dr. Paul Carruthers is a delusional, misanthropic chemist with a wrathful bent. When the perfume he designed becomes a major success after he sold his share in the company and left, he decides to murder the owners of the company along with their entire families, using a bat shocked with electric rays to a titanic size and trained to murder at the scent of a specific aftershave. Offering the aftershave as a “gift”, he uses it to murder one of the owners along with his sons and future son-in law, with the owner’s daughter being narrowly saved by a closed window. Willing to murder more than just his targets for petty reasons, he attempts to use the aftershave to murder an uninvolved reporter who gets too close to finding out the truth. When sprayed with the aftershave himself, he attempts to chase the daughter down to take her with him, caring only for his twisted and disproportionate vengeance.

Since Alvin from HTTYD books worked out quite well, I see no problem with at least proposing his mother as a candidate so here goes...
Prior Context
Excellinor the witch is Alvin the treacherous' mother and the Dragon-in-Chief for him in books 9-12 although her first appearance is in book 8. She also was a main participator of the slavery Alvin committed in the latter books so I'm just going to go over what she personally does (and also correct a mistake I had made about Alvin.)Who is the Candidate and What have they Done?
Book 8
In book 8 Excellinor had a bet with Hiccup when they were trapped that whoever guessed who was who that they get to kill the other and she almost succeeds until Toothless opens his eyes which blinded her since she was so used to darkness.Book 9
In book 9 she takes reign as the most notable human antagonist while Alvin is more of a background character in this one. Because the humans needed to nominate a king, they decided to host a sword fighting competition. If someone seemed to doing decently and could beat Alvin, Excellinor would sabotage them by using sea urchins and placing them in their shoes. She also kidnapped Hiccup's father Stoick and locked him in a cupboard in her hut. When Hiccup goes to her hut and encounters her, she tries to kill him by infecting him with vorpent venom (which as the fourth book shoes is a horrific way to go.) Because Hiccup was immune he managed to lock her in the cupboard and release his father.Later when Hiccup wins the competition and explains how he'll try to bring peace between dragons and humans, Excellinor tells his cousin Snotlout to throw a stone at his helmet to reveal the slavemark which Hiccup got given to him in book 7. Because of this Hiccup was automatically now rendered a slave which would make Stoick liable to become king since he came second. Unfortunately Excellinor then manipulated the crowd to turn agaisnt him as well by saying that Hiccup was a runt and Stoick was meant to abandon him, letting Alvin now become viable for King.
Book 10
Excellinor also partakes in the mass slavery and trapping Alvin commits, feeding them lies that if they find Hiccup or the dragon jewel, they'll have their freedom which ultimately turns out to be a "white lie."Book 11
Excellinor manipulated Snotlout to find Hiccup and bring him to Alvin's mountain lair. She also had used Vampire spy dragons to scout ahead and watch her enemies in which she had managed to capture Hiccup's ally Camikazi and trapped her in a claustrophobic box. When Snotlout brings Hiccup to the mountain bunker, Excellinor congratulates Snotlout but refuses to let him join their ranks as she calls him out for being someone out for themselves which is hypocritical on her part.I got this part messed up in my EP because Alvin was wanting to kill Hiccup there on the spot but Excellinor was the one who decided to torture him to give away the human rebels. When Hiccup refused to break, Excellinor had Camikazi dropped into the frigid waters to be either eaten alive or drown to death. Alvin and Excellinor eventually make their way to Tomorrow and celebrate when they were told Alvin is now viable to become king.
Book 12
Excellinor, along with Alvin goes to swipe the real dragon jewel off Hiccup while he's trying to negotiate peace with Furious and his dragon army so they can use the plague trapped within to wipe out all dragons. With Alvin dead and the hostilities ceased, Excellinor makes one mad lunge to murder Hiccup with a poisoned sword before Furious interferes and takes the blow. Furious then swats her into a blowhole where she promptly falls to her death.Do they have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?
I don't see her love for Alvin as genuine, just as a means so he can become king while she rules as Dragon-in-Chief. When she meets him at the end of book 8 after 20 years, the first thing she does is scold him for not finding any of the lost things while losing limbs. She does help Toothless with his stomach problem by stitching him open and removing the items that were causing it but the book states that she's only doing to get the spoon because she's been eating soup for 20 years with a fork.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Well she's a main instigator with Alvin's actions in the later books and has a few crimes of her own such as the aforementioned poison and torture scenes. I know Alvin did more crimes prior but he's had much more appearances than her. She also willingly would wipe out all the dragons even when peace was possible and tried one last murder due to her breakdown.
Final Verdict?
