Paging ~Purple Eyed Guma to the thread. Anyway, I don't have a problem with cutting because unlike the other pages Guma mentioned, videos have to be approved by mods, and I don't want to have to update all of these pages every time a video is approved, and it's possible that the other mods don't either (but I'll let them chime in if they're inclined). In contrast, anyone can add an image or quote, and thus anyone can update the pages dealing with their sources without mod intervention needed for either action (aside from mods needing to give the go-ahead for replacing an image).

Mods aren't obligated to update those pages. We just let the community do it.

I am fine with cutting the pages because every page with video has a video examples tab. I don't see the point in manually maintaining a list on the wiki when the system automatically does it.

Those pages do indeed look redundant, given how the video examples work.

Ah, I didn't know we had that since I don't do much with videos unless I'm moving a page. Yeah, I stand by my existing cut vote after seeing that we have an auto-index.

Cut all subpages, but leave the main page with a link to the tool Amon posted.

As someone who regularly moderated videos for a while (and still does semi-regularly), I do not find any use for these, cannot be assed to update them, and I agree they are redundant even if they were 100% updated. Cut away.

I don't think we'd need much on the page if we're just using a wiki page to direct people to the auto-index. We'd index the page on Main.Administrivia like the other soft redirect pages I mentioned for parity with those pages.

Yes, that looks good; it's mostly so we can catch inbounds. I'd also keep the second paragraph of the current (the wicks to Video Guidelines and No Video Examples, Please!)

For the same reason as this page, do we need Video Overdosed? I'd be okay with cutting that one too.

I think Video Overdosed is fine as we have Trope Overdosed and I don't care about it much as it's JFF

Have to agree, I think Video Overdosed is fine.

I was already thinking about leaving Video Overdosed out of this one, so I agree with the above two posts.

Just so I know, does the Three-Day Rule still apply to this? The answer is probably yes, but I just want to make sure.

Since this is an index, and one with several subpages at that, I was intending to leave the Three-Day Rule in place. I mainly take a lack of wicks into account for trope pages when it comes to the times it's waived.
